Can a Nightmare...
~*The Siren Sisters*~

"Don't worry Gatsuei... we'll take good care of him, right sisters?" The Clone attached to Ichi's arm called out and waved as the original nodded and then took off to work on her jutsu while the others were helping Ichi with his. Her voice and tone that she used was honeyed, as thought there was some venom underneath.
"Oh yes, very good care of him." The one on his left replied with a silver tongue.
"Very good care of him, indeed." The triplets burst into mischivious cackles of sadistic glee and all of the sudden the sweet atmosphere that was put on suddenly fell down as twisted and cruel grins fromed on their lips. It was almost like look one expected to see on a spider when it was watching a fly dizzily approach its web. When Gatsuei was fully out of sight the three scattered away from Ichi, bringing their weapons to bare. Gatsuei had started wearing them again after she got a little more comfortable with the heat, she said that she had felt naked without her gauntlets on, and they did proved some rather interesting training obsticles that were good for her to set herself up with. The girls all started to walk slowly in a counter clockwise direction, perfectly in syncronization with each, every step was mimiced by the others, like they were one mind and one body. The seemed to take some cruel amusement at Ichi's predicament as they all brought their bladed fingers up and ran their tongues across the flat of the metal that made it up.
"Ready or Not, Ichi-kun, here we come~!" It was almost eerie how unified they were, even in speech they were able to match each others words perfectly without missing a beat. So, Ichi wanted to test and practice his defence did he... almost didn't make sense concidering the Shakaku was concidered the demonhost with the 'Ultiment defense' but who where they to argue, if it could be broken, then they would find a way to do so, they were sure of it. They all pushed off as one, and from three very different angles, all three of them launched shuriken at his direction. The assumed that the sand would leap up and protect him, and hopefully the sand would obsure his vision. They all aimed at his head (spare the one that was behind him, she aimed at the dead of his back.) While the sand was up, and assumidly blocking is line of sight they would get some smoke bombs in there and further obsure his vision. They were testing boundries to see the full extent of what the shield could do, if it could protect him utterly blind then so be it, they had a plan woven in this one anyway.

~*Gatsuei-anei*~

Gatsuei was playing around with her chakra, it was a little harder to get here but that was what made this place so awesome for her to work with. While she was just chilling by herself she saw a scorpion pass by, she had taken time to watch it scurry along the sand, ignoring her for it’s now devices, her mind was suddenly pulled into a few new ideas for her summons. She adored her summons, and she wanted to make sure that it was protected in battle, while daydreaming about riding a scorpion in Samurai armour her imagination spawned a concept, a concept that was both intriguing and, if it worked, something that she could use to help her summoned ally for once. What if she created an additional shell of chakra for the scorpion to fight in? If she could figure out how to augment her summons to get it stronger and tougher than she could make sure that it stuck around a lot longer than what it would have normally. It was so sad when her summons got smacked back into whatever realm they came from, and it was one of the few things she actually felt guilty about without someone rubbing something in her face. Gatsuei wasn’t exactly sure how to do this, actually… she would just have to do some guess work and try things from there. She squatted down and closed her eyes for a few minutes before she raised her hand up and bit into her thumb, she placed her hand down after a series of hand signs used to summon her favourite creature from the depths of… wherever they were from. Curious though that… where did they come from and where were they going back to once they were unsummoned? Hmm… she would have to ask Kishi if she ever saw him again, granted, she had a long life in which to do it with now. Placing her hand down she could feel the chakra drain out of her and a sprawling of ancient and sacred texts roll out along the ground. Smoke rose from the circle that she created, accompanied by dark blue lightning that licked around as the chakra that opened the rift from beyond closed itself after the huge scorpion was brought into her reality. It was a desert dwelling scorpion, so she wasn’t worried that it would over heat or be uncomfortable here. She took some time to swoon over her little pet before getting back to what she had in mind. She wasn’t even sure if she was approaching this right or if she had already done something wrong with her attempts at the technique. She wondered how actually going about making chakra armour for her friend would translate into the summons itself, she closed her eyes and placed her hand on the carapace of the scorpion and closed her eyes. She wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to do this they way she originally planned in her head. She focused on the outer shell and tried to connect with that so that she could surround it with more layers of itself, like adding a breastplate over a chain mail shirt. She concentrated and tried to wrap her chakra around her summoned pet, she could picture it in her mind; the smooth shiny carapace and the hardness that it already had on itself, she tried to mimic and strengthen the bonds that held together the shell that she could picture in her mind. She weaved and tightened the bond until she could do it anymore, it was kind of exhausting to be honest, and when she opened her eyes, she noted the depth to which the scorpion sank into the sand with the new weight on a small portion on its back. No, no, no! This wouldn’t do, not at all. She knew for a fact that if her agile pet monstrosity was too weight down it would be both an easy target to get hit and the effectiveness of the summoned itself would be further diminished. Okay, so that wasn’t going to be a viable option for her to do a single heavy coat of chakra. It may give it a lot more toughness, but it was weighed down and unable to move around at all. That would kind of counter the point of having the armour in the first place while also proving why it was needed. Okay, scratch that idea. Gatsuei let go of the chakra and the armour went away, she sat down on her summoned and puzzled and puzzled till her puzzler was sore trying to figure out what she could do in order to actually get some armour out of the deal and still have her summons still relatively mobile and deadly. Having one huge thick setting of chakra was not the answer. So what if she moulded it into something more like Samurai armour and what made it up. Granted she hadn’t seen a set of samurai armour outside of the text books and the curiosity shops that were around town, she knew what they were made up of, so she was willing to have a go at this. While she was sitting on the smooth carapace of her companion she pictured the armour working very much like its natural skin, if it was damaged, then it would be shed like a natural moulting. That way, if it was too heavy then the first strike would take care of it and it would get lighter. She knew that there were many parts of Samurai armour. She started to weave and mould her chakra into something that would resemble a light vest, she kept in mind that fabrics of the dressings of the samurai, from what she understood of them and their armour, they wore their kimono’s underneath them so that they didn’t have a bare chest behind the armour. So, she essentially made her scorpion mount a little kimono for it so it wouldn’t have the heavier chakra right on top of it, acting like a cushion of sorts. She could feel the shifting of the chakra under her and continued to picture her little summoned scorpion samurai ally. She was that close to a ‘squee’ but it just couldn’t get through her profession demeanour. She then began work on the next part, the chest armour was going to be next on the list she figured that something lighter than what she was doing previously would be a better result, she decided that in this case, a leatherish, more flexible and lighter style of armour would be a better idea, she started with the undercoat and began to weave that together in her mind and with her chakra. She was finding this to be less tedious as one might expect, maybe it was something to do with her new understanding of chakra and the time spent both here and in the Spirit realm were she was previously. Maybe throughout the training itself she had managed to store a beastly amount of chakra and being a genjutsu type, such things had become simple and easy for her to do in comparison. She continued to weave and manipulate enough chakra to coat the scorpion’s vital areas so that it was more protected from blows and strikes. The scorpions tail was vital, as was it’s pincers, though the latter would be addressed a little later. She once more felt the shift under her and squirmed a little as the power solidified and became something tangible. God she loved that feeling, it made her feel powerful and almost almighty.

But she was getting ahead of herself, she still had to complete the Samurai scorpion wardrobe, so with the undercoat of the armour she began with the main chest plate… or leather in this case. She once more wanted to make things as light as possible, once more she began to weave and conjure her imagined creation and pull it into reality. She knew that the outer shell of the Samurai armour was made up of something more solid, so she tried to keep it in a single shape, spare when it was called for a few smaller, more numerous sections such as the tail to allow some flexibility. She could picture it in her mind (and it was quite dashing and slightly cute on her predatory arthropod friend, if she did say so herself.) With a few more minor adjustments to the weaving of the outer layer of the armour she was satisfied that she did and was confident that it wouldn’t impede the scorpion’s movement too much, she noted that it wasn’t bucking her off for doing this, so it was still comfortable with this, next up was the shoulder guards, though she would extend this to her summons other limbs as well. Mainly joints were the legs attached to the cephalothorax, she weaved and moulded those with relative ease, she was starting to get a feel for the armour as a whole now, she could easily picture this in her mind as she summoned her creation the next time that she was in the need for her scorpion ally. But this wasn’t the end, no, there was still more to add. She began to weave and knit the strands of chakra to create the armoured gauntlets to cover the pincers without impeding them in any sort of manner, especially if the pincers were the main course of attack of the scorpion that she summoned. She did the gauntlet slowly so that she could readjust it right away if need be and her summon needed it. This scorpion was more venom dependant, so she also note and intimately memorized the weavings and fabrications of it so she could also adjust that if need be as well. After her mind was confident of her conjured armour so far, she took the next step and created the shin and thigh guards… that were pretty well one in the same for the creature she was summoning this for, with some more fabrication and careful manifestation of her chakra she fixed that up and then went on to the helmet and something of a mask for her creation, she kept it fairly loose and airy for her scorpion friends, so that they could breath and fight comfortably and still be protected. After the sash and a few more minor details were added she hopped off her creation to take a better look at it. Despite the scorpion looking bored to tears and a little weight down, it looked great. Gatsuei allowed the scorpion to disappear and concentrated her chakra once more. She bit into her thumbs and drew fresh blood. She went over the hand signs and then the added signs needed to allow her the augmented summoning. After she slowly paced that out a few times in her mind, picking up speed so she could do it on the fly, she pushed her hand down and called forth her ally. From the blood came the sprawling of text and sacred sigils that once more brought her ally through the gates of space and time to where she was now. A thunderous plumb of smoke filled the air as Gatsuei anxiously waited for it to clear to see if her time and effort meant anything here and now. She nibbled her lip a little sand squinted into the debris for a moment. When the cloud rolled away the sandstone coloured scorpion ally was present in the samurai armour, it looked mildly bored and more than a little annoyed but then again, it just didn‘t appreciate how cool it looked. The scorpion crawled over to her, a little slowed but still functional. She threw her hands in the air and squee’d at the awesome cuteness that her predatory arthropod had become. She had a samurai scorpion mount and bodyguard now, how many girls could say the same?

Ichi remained standing there as the others spoke; it was slightly un-nerving to hear them laughing the way they were but at least he knew he was going to get some good practice in from how they were acting, and once the real Yuzuki was out of eye sight the three clones all darted into different directions. Ichi could only follow one of them but this is where his trust in Shukaku kicked in; he could only follow one; but Shukaku saw all three of them as well as the movements in a way that allowed him to react to there actions before Ichi could even see them. He didn’t know whether Shukaku saw in slow motion; or his reaction time was so small that he simply appeared to know what had happened before it did. (After all Shukaku was able to keep up with Un-weighted lee, which the others couldn’t even see) However once the three stated ‘ready or not here we come’ Ichi simply nodded “Alright, let get started” Ichi knew that they were only clones but still he was going to avoid hurting them, it was more a physiological thing then a physical one. Even though they wouldn’t feel the pain; to Ichi it was the same as attacking the real Yuzuki and if he had the option to do so; he was going to avoid that at all cost.

As the shadow clones attacked the sane did just as they had expected it too, it moved up into hit’s defensive positon, but there was something different. Rather then there being a rather small, maybe foot wide tendril that blocked just the weapon; there was almost a Tidal wave, as thick as the real Demon’s arm, easily a Ton or two of Sand shooting up through the stone underfoot. As this happened another arm shot out from under the stone; the two ‘arms of Shukaku’ almost wrapping around Ichi and forming a complete Sphere around him as he stood there; however unlike the sphere of sand that just stood still; the defense around him right now has so much mass and speed behind it that it would almost be like jumping onto a quickly moving convader belt; it would jerk and even drag you in the direction that the sand was moving. It looked like it was just as before, only stronger. Ichi didn’t even need to see the attacks. Shukaku did that for him. All his training was more about getting Shukaku do to something, rather then actually learning how to do whatever it was that he was trying to learn. “Looks like this might work after all” As Ichi said that the sand that had formed up around him almost exploded outwards, not with enough force to damage anyone; but far more than enough to send anything caught by the sphere like explotion of sand flying backwards a good deal.

Can a Nightmare...
~*The Siren Sisters*~

Always in motion, the giggling and cruel tittering as they continued to dance around in graceful, hypnotic patterns. The three of them launched their gathered smoke pellets, letting them sore through the air and burst open around Ichi. Midnight black smoke choked the air around Ichi and obscured the mortal eye. With the stirrings from rapid movements before things became still all of a sudden. The three clones had pulled back and let the smoke build up. Now it was time to see how good his shield really one. A clapping of hands sounded from infront of Ichi, and a few yards to the left and right of where the first hand clapped was heard.
"Bindings of Tartarus Jutsu." A single voice rang out, there was an ebb in the chakra as one of the clones tried to remove the mobility of their sparing partner. After a few heartbeats, enough time to possibly be ensnared with the torturous binding.
"Fire Style: Greater Dragon Fire jutsu!" Two voices sounded symotaniously from either side of the first.
Ultimate defence... the Sisters would put that name to the test.

~*Gatsuei-anei*~

While she had her summoned ally with her, she decided to get a little more experience with the Nightmaric fusion jutsu, she climbed on top of the summoned companion and made the hand signs needed in order to complete and continue her goals with this jutsu. She closed her eyes and concentrated, a huge black cloud rose from all around them, when the clouds finally immerged. Her lower half became one with the scorpion, two additional tails sprouted after dividing from their original host’s body and raised defensively and a purple, thick liquid formed a small drip at the tip of its tail. A hardened carapace armour wrapped around Gatsuei’s human torso in the same outline as the dress she had on, coming around and wrapping around her bust protectively, pretty well where body was exposed through her original clothes was where a glimpse of her humanity remained, the carapace crawled up and wrapped around her neck and around her jaw-line. Her hair gathered in clumps, creating scaled tentacles of hardened hair that flowed down to the base where her lower body was fused with her upper body. Two orbs surfaced at her temporal region, the flesh that covered it divided halfway to create an opening for her new eyes. Her lips looked as though they had melted back to reveal the tips of pointed teeth, where her clawed weapons should have been there was elongated, razor sharp fingers that gave off an eerie look to the already twisted image of what Gatsuei and her summons took up. The human flesh of her body almost blended in nicely with the colour of the desert scorpion that she was fused with, the protective armour that she conjured up had disappeared, but she could feel the weight on her body where it was, it was very much like a moult that was ready to be shed. Gatsuei lowered her head and opened her jet black, glossy eyes. She was almost immediately bombarded with new smells and sensations that she couldn’t pick up as a human, it was something that was… odd to say the least, but Gatsuei was more interested in learning the inner mechanics of what she was capable of and closed her orbs, raising her hands to make the sign of the tiger, she concentrated and thought back to the days of the academy when they were first teaching her how to tap into her chakra, it had become second nature to her, she had done it for so long, but now she was apart of something bigger, and her chakra network had changed drastically, so she needed to re-learn and understand this network so that she could work with it and even do some jutsu in this form. She probably wouldn’t take it any further than a Kai or Nightmaric release from a Genjutsu, the form itself took a lot of concentration and chakra to hold it in place and use it. She began to trace along the pathways and workings of her chakra, she did so in a relative quick manner, after all, she had done this so many times it almost wasn’t funny. It was when she got to the end of her and the beginning of the scorpion she was fused with, she took her time and slowly mapped things out in her mind, she allowed her chakra to intermingle and get use to the foreign chakra that made up the creatures body and now, by extension, her own. It’s chakra wasn’t that much different form her own, slightly altered but at the same time she had felt this type of chakra before in the Spirit realm. She slowly made her way around the complex and alien net workings, and slowly, inch by inch of the body was remapped and memorized, and more and more of the creature was accepting her, she was learning to tap into her scorpion without being seen as an invader to the body. She felt more connect with it spiritually then she had before, she was glad that she was given the opportunity to learn how to summon of these magnificent and misunderstood creatures, and she was more than happy and honoured to be allowed to do this. She kept her hands in their position as she tried to circulate the chakra around in the foreign body, she slowly and meticulously stirred and conjured at the remaining chakra pool that was inside of her body, she was making some good headway, but there was still some resistance from her host, and she needed to sooth the anxiety that it was feeling to make sure than it was alright with what she was doing. She slowly started to show the other conscious that was with her that what she was doing wasn’t going to directly harm the body, little but little she earned the full trust of her summoned ally and she was starting to make some good headway with what she was doing. She was starting to reach the point where she could feel the energy she was using for chakra ebb and flow freely the way she needed it to do in order to make it work. At last Gatsuei made a few more hand signs, and cut her chakra off completely, then quickly pushed it out and away from her, mimicking what she would be doing if she was using a Kai in a genjutsu to escape form it. It took her some more time to get the finesse of a genjutsu user built up again. But after a while she relearned how to do the Nightmaric escape jutsu. Eventually she was able to do it again, and with the final finishing touches on her last bit of training, She decided that it was going to be time to go and see how Ichi was doing, and break in her new body, she could kill two birds with one stone while she practiced with Ichi, learning how to rely on her other senses aside form her sight from a new set of senses. Gatsuei's body shifted and moved with unnatural grace toward where her clones and Ichi were. She could both held him with his defence and she could learn better offence. She had to get there first. She followed her nose, having eyes that were next to useless.

Ichi watched as the pellets soared through the air towards him; both he and Shukaku knew that the pellets were not really a threat and attacking them wouldn’t do anything so it would have just been a wait of Chakra; and even though they didn’t have to worry about overusing there chakra, waiting it was still something that Ichi wasn’t going to intentionally do. As the smoke filled the air around him; Ichi looked around for a moment; he couldn’t see but that wasn’t an issue. He didn’t need to see. ‘Binding of Tatrarus?’ Ichi thought to himself as he heard Yuzuki say those words. It wasn’t a Jutsu he had heard of before. It might have been one of the Jutsu that she had made herself. However he had seen something much like it before. Inochi and the other Yamanaka who had attacked him in the forest outside of the Village hidden in the leaves. Both of them had Jutsu that kept him from moving, on most people it would be an amazing tactic; and easily one that could end the fight. But against Ichi it was almost worthless, He hardly ever moved in a fight to begin with; so taking away his ability to move was something that didn’t affect him.

Even though Ichi was unable to move; he managed a smile as he heard the two words come from each side of him, this might be a good time to try out the new Jutsu that he had been training out; at least one of the two that he had been trying to learn. The defensive of the two, it wasn’t perfected yet but he had enough control to be able to use it. Ichi closed his eyes still inside of the cloud of jet black smoke. He opened them the moment he felt the heat from the Jutsu being launched at him from both sides, only then did the sand act, two massive walls, and one on each side of him; almost as though a sky scraper had risen up from the ground. Planting themselves between the frozen Ichi and the two Jutsu, even if Kazuki was a mile away he would still see those two towers lingering in the distance. While the Towers launched from the ground under foot using all of the sand that Ichi had made in the time before the training (Two minutes or two Hours it was hard to tell in this place) the force of the sand and the wind caused by the quick movement also sent a rather good amount of the black smoke cloud up with it; making the two spires of sand almost look like they were smoking.

Can a Nightmare...
~*The Siren Sisters*~

Thunder started to rumble in the sky, the heat from the two jutsu violently push the heated air upwards and brewed the beginnings of a storm. The pair of fire breathers continued to push their chakra into the jutsu, attempting to increase its destructive capablities. With seemingly no draining of their chakra they were more than willing to go all out. Everything had a limit, everything had a breaking point, while the other two turned up the heat the one who kept Ichi under a binding genjutsu. Her lips pulled up into a twisted grin. She held out her hand and made a clenching motion with her fingers. There was something about this particular genjutsu that set it apart from one that was perhaps like the one that Inochi had. This illusion manifests with the sensation of having hot spikes driven through the victims wrists and having cruelly barbed spiked chains wrapped around them, taking away their bodies mobility. The ‘pain’ that this genjutsu accompanies with it can easily be used for torture. Now that he was inside her genjutsu, she was going to show him just how foolish it was to allow yourself to just fall into a genjutsu and think that it was just something that immobilized him.
With that thought, and the clenching of her fist perhaps he would get some first hand knowledge of what a genjutsuist could do. Maybe, if she brought him enough agony, his concentration would be broken and his sheild would start to collapse.
She hoped that he had a back up plan if that was the case. Gatsuei might be a little cross if she came back and found a pile of ash of a former friend.

Kazuki Habaragi

Kazuki continued to walk towards his friends. After a split up from Gatsuei resulting in four of her signatures now running around, three of them went with Ichi to the side while the fourth went off by herself. Kazuki figured she would return soon so he headed towards Ichi and the three 'Gatsueis'. As he approached he heard some exchanging of words then two large spires of sand rose out of some smoke. Kazuki broke into a sprint and once he reached one of the smoking spires, he called out.
'HEY! Ichi! I'm back! What's going on?"

Ichi remained standing there his eyes closed, the pain from the Genjutsu was one thing, but suddenly he could hear Shukaku; he was laughing. Ichi didn’t hear the demons words per say but he somehow could tell what he was saying even without needing to hear them; almost as though the thoughts of the demon where the same as his own. ‘Ohhh poor little Ichi, Looks like I need to help you out here again’ The Demon remained silent for a bit longer most likely enjoying watching Ichi struggle with the Genjutsu; he knew that the girl would intentionally try to kill Ichi, so its not like the demon needed to jump in and save Ichi right away, as Shukaku remained silent Ichi continued to bare with the pain; he knew he wouldn’t be able to break the Genjutsu on his own so there really wasn’t much he could do until there until Shukaku yelled again. Ichi knew that the demon was aware of the fact that Yuzuki wasn’t able to hear him; but then again that didn’t really matter. The one tailed beast liked to talk just for the sake of hearing himself talk. ‘b***h, If it wasn’t for Ichi I would smash you like I should have the first time; do you know who I am?’ There was a slight pause, after all only Ichi could hear this so the others in the area didn’t know about what was going on. ‘I’M THE MOTHER ******** SHUKAKU!’ As the demon yelled that both Yuzuki and Kazuki (who can both see Chakra due to the area they are in) would see a Tidal wave of deep purple Chakra wash over the entire area. Shattering the Genjutsu around Ichi; letting Shukaku talk and move once more, the pain from the Genjutsu fading as the Genjutsu wore off, Ichi would have to thank the tailed beast later, but at the moment he could only hear the beast giggling like a drunk school girl at the moment; he must have been pleased with himself.

“Kazuki, Kind of Busy at the moment; trying not to be cooked” Ichi said in a slightly ragged breath, Shukaku did help but he sure did take his sweet time with it. After a moment the boy lifted his one hand up into the air and took a deep breath; what better time now than ever. He had a lot of Sand, and a good attack to block. “Defending Sand Wall!” (This)As Ichi said those words all of the sand in the area around him lifted up into the air; the two spires on each side of Ichi almost becoming floating mountains on each side of him, this jutsu was originally made to protect a whole village at once as well as in the air, but it could be altered slightly; rather than being horizontal, the massive slab of sand was vertical, making a large slab of defense on each side of Ichi. Pretty sure you would be able to see those from space. Ichi then looked at Kazuki who was between the two slabs of sand along with Ichi, Ichi giving a slight smile to the boy.

Kazuki almost lost his balance when the sand rose from the ground. He concentrated some chakra to his fee to keep his balance. "Try not to get cooked? I take it Gatsuei can use fire style then? What should I be doing? Helping you or fighting her? And two other things- why do I feel four Gatsuei's? And why can I feel Shukaku's chakra rising from your body?" Kazuki didn't want to have to fight to keep his friend in control of his demon, but he might have to. He figured that was pretty slim but he didn't know how Ichi was keeping Shukaku in check.

Can a Nightmare...
~*The Siren Sisters*~

Seeing as they were making no head way, the sisters backed off and regrouped, the Shakaku's sheild certainly lived up to it's name, not even her strongest fire wasn't making a dent anymore and there was little that she had in her arsonal that was going to be of any use here. The three exchanged looked till something caught their eyes. A strange little smile blossomed across their faces and they backed off, two of them repositioned and counter charged with their smoke bombs again. However this time it came only from two angles instead of three, the thick black smoke clouding mortal vision, but Shukaku and Kazuki with his abilities would easily be able to see one Gatsuei pulling back, while some sort of freakish form came in and joined the fray from Ichi's rear. Gatsuei, still in her Nightmaric Fusion Jutsu form entered, she had some borrowed powers form her summons so she was going to give Ichi a run for his money. While the two sisters giggles and taunts got closer and closer to Ichi they prepared some shuriken with wire.
Ichi's more immediate concern came from behind, with the weight of her fused body she reared up as best she could on half of her nimble legs and attempted to smash down on Ichi with the weight of her upper body and the full force of her pincers.

~Training from the removed Siren Sister.~

Gatsuei was experimenting with her fire style, she wasn’t all that well versed in what it had to offer and what it could do, she had experimented quite a bit with the wind jutsu, but not so much with the other, so she decided to expand on what she had little of, balance was needed, and as far as she was concerned, her elemental chakra should be no different, however, she needed to relearn how to manage it properly… she used her hatred and rage to dominate her fire in the previous jutsu, so she wasn’t relying on who she use to be. Gatsuei closed her eyes and focused on her inner chakra, her fire chakra was located in the stomach, so she focused her energy there, she gently experimented stirring and prodding at the location in order to get another feeling for her fire jutsus, she already activated her fire chakra point, so there was no need to relearn it, she experimented until she finally found her point of ignition for her fire style. Once that happened she played with a few possibilities within her mind as to how to make this work, she ignited the feelings in her stomach and manipulated them upwards, she brought her masks down and brought her index and middle fingers to either sides of her lips and pressed them together. Harmony with ones chakra, harmony and balance. She closed her eyes and gently blew in between her fingers and she felt the ignition not far from them, it was warm, but not hot to her flesh. She was starting to understand now, why she couldn’t mix the elements together before in her training, she had been forcing them all along, and now that she was being more coxing and less forceful she could understand the difference, though now she was more interested in soothing the fires within her. She continued to practice, blowing gently through her lips but adding more and more chakra into the mixture until she got what she was working towards. When she got there she started to mix and kneed with her hand signs until things started to feel right. She started to experiment with fragmenting her chakra into short but concentrated bursts, very much like her Wind Bullets that she learned a while ago. She started ignite her chakra as she gave the little bursts, at first it wasn’t overly impressive, they were going out as soon as they passed her lips, the chakra and the energy that she put into it wasn’t balanced enough. She added a little more energy and a little more until she could keep them ignited and lasting longer than when she was originally starting out, is when she started to experiment further with how to use this tidbit of information properly. At the size they were, they weren’t going to be very useful, spare perhaps hiding shuriken inside of them, however, they wouldn’t likely be throwing anyone off if did so. She needed to make the fire balls a little larger, she needed them hotter as well, though how she was going to do this without doing damage to her shuriken made her scratch her head slightly. Oh well, she supposed just trial and error was going to have to be the end all/cure all remedy. So, Gatsuei got to work, she started to incorporate her shuriken into this, it was frustrating at first, she ended up with more warped and bent shuriken than she knew what to do with and after many hours of pulling her hair in frustration she had a breakthrough that started something of a catalyst of understanding for her. She once more gathered chakra in to her stomach where the fire chakra was said to be located and kneaded it into what she wanted, she took a deep breath and brought out her shuriken at the same time as she brought her index and middle finger to the side of her mouth, using her chakra and a thermal ignition she threw the shuriken and exhaled her chakra in small bursts, manipulating the flow of her ignited chakra to wrap around the shuriken instead of simply engulfing it utterly, she made sure that the flow and the constant motion of the chakra that was used to keep the fire going was pushing and twisting away from the metal of the weapon, not necessarily outwards of the shuriken, but simply away from it so that the weapon didn’t become warped. It was really a big pain in the a** yet, she still hadn’t gotten a good, strong handle on this technique and it still felt a little bit… off to her. She tried again after fetching the shuriken, kneading the chakra and timing her throw with her chakra dispensing, even more tricky was timing it just right so that the Shuriken were hidden when she performed this jutsu. She continued to pick and prod at it, adjusting her technique slightly in one way or another, it was one of the most finicky processes that she had ever come across and she used genjutsu. Gatsuei continued to toil away for what felt like hours before she had a ’Eureka’ moment and finally seemed to understand what she was doing wrong and how she could better the timing of the technique. She was finally getting the subtle timing and throwing down now, and after a few more minutes of some fine turning, not only could she do the smaller bursts in quick succession, she could also be secretive about adding shuriken or kunai into the mix. After a few more practice runs (because practice makes perfect) she had things down pat, she could do this in her sleep now. Gatsuei rounded up her weapons that had become warped and useless and frown, she put them back in her pouch, the last thing that she needed right now was Quingfu screaming in her ears about ‘littering’ or something. She supposed she could find some use for them down the road, maybe just give them to the iron forgers for metal scraps or something.

Can a Nightmare...
~*Gatsuei-anei*~

After a long and rather unsuccessful tempt at once more trying to get throught the Shukaku's sheild, Gatsuei yeilded to the her sparing partner, the clones disappeared and her form reversed itself back to normal. It was a good work out, but everything felt sore now from all that pounding and smashing. Gatsuei returned to the campsite that they were using as a main base and settled down to prepare for a nights rest. She wondered how long they had been there and she wondered how much longer they were going to stay. Looking at her small bundle of possessions, she took out her ANBU armour and mask once more. She slowly and dreamily started to reapply it and started to mentally prepare for the next few days to come, she assumed that they would continue their barrage of training and for once she was ready to take a bit of a break from it, she figured that she wasn't going to totally fall to pieces if she missed one day out of the week to break stride. Gatsuei sighed heavily and leaned back on her cloak and looked up at the stars here. She tried to pick out the contanence that she recongized but didn't make it very far, she assumed that they were somewhere totally and completely different if she couldn't even make out even the most easily recognizable star formations. Oh well, just as long as they weren't forgotten about, she doubted that Quingfu character would do that to them but you never know, she only got a brief introduction to him when she first came in here so her knowledge of his character was less than adequit. She started to wonder what Chiyu was doing, and if Kazin had gotten over his loss yet? Granted if she knew that he was womanizing while she was busting her butt trying to save the world, she would probably be furious, if she recalled correctly she was called useless or inferior by him... or something along those lines. It seemed a little oxymoronical to that she was trying to make a big difference in the world. Was that what most people wanted to do? Make a big difference in the world?
Gatsuei took off her mask and turned it so that she was looking at its 'face'. She looked into the empty eye wholes and started to wonder if this was going to be worth it in the end, or if this was going to be a big waste of time? Granted, immortality was far from a waste of time, but she had a feeling that this sort of immortality did not include invinciblity. Was she really ready to sacrifice her own life for people who didn't care for her or wanted her dead? She came in here to perhaps seek some redemption from her past, but she wasn't willing to make herself a martyer either. She still had her goals, and despite what Ichi would try and make her believe, she would always seek the truth of what humanity really wanted. It may not be now, but perhaps down the road, people may crave conflict, and if that was what they really, truely wanted, then she would bring it to them. Not out of malice or some sort of misplaced heroism, but out of compassion for the lost and the damned. She would never call herself a hero, she had no need nor desire to make the world a better place or go out of her way to stop and eradicate evil for the sake of some corrupted word called justice. Justice was still a word that always fit the wronged without understanding the full story. There was a fine line between revenge and justice, and all too often those lines were blurred and meshed. She would have no part of that. Instead she would do as she always did, follow her moral compass and chart her own route. She may not always be right, and she may make numerous mistakes along the way, but she would continue to walk that path till she found her own way, and a place were she belonged herself. She didn't belong in the Cloud, she never really fit in nor was she overly welcomed there, and quiet frankly she wasn't prepared to make the Sand her home either, this blasted place gave her more than enough of a taste of desert life and frankly... Kazuki and Ichi could keep it, it was nice to visit but it wasn't for her, she was really getting tired of breathing in sand all day. She didn't know where she was going to go or where she would end up, but what was for certain was that she was going to follow her whim and become a vagabond for a while. She would try and get some teaching from whatever immortal was left after this, and she would try and hook up with Kishi again and travel with the man for a while. She wanted to see things that he saw, and share things with him for a while before he either retired from his life or grew bored of her. So many plans, if she survived this war and ended things relatively quickly, then maybe she would have the opertunity to do them all. But first she had to finish this training.

Kazuki Habaragi

Kazuki looked at Ichi and took a deep breath. After that run in with Gatsuei's clones he was breathless, but he still needed to train some things too. "Hey Ichi, are you finished training? I still have some stuff I'd like to train, but if you'd like we could spar and train that way."
Kazuki wanted about two other Wind techniques before he was satisfied. There was also and idea he wanted to try out that involved both his elements that he wanted to test out as he wasn't sure he had the idea fully thought out yet.
