Professor Kenneth Reynolds

Kenneth enjoyed the sweet smell of the shampoo Aludra like to use, as his head laid gently a top Aludra's while they slowly moved around the dance floor pressed firmly together. Once the the song ended Kenneth leaned his head around so he could whisper into Aludra's ear. "Lets take a break from dancing I have something I wish to ask you." Taking Aludra's hand he lead her over to the small round tables that encircled the dance floor. He pulled out a chair for Aludra to sit down on and then, instead of circling the table and taking a sit opposite her, he took one of her hands and with the other slipped it into his right pocket grasping the small box inside. He pulled the box out of his pocket and then said "Aludra even before I learned that I was going to be a father I had planned for this night for the longest." He paused for a moment trying to call up the words he had planned to say to her at this very moment, but found that he couldn't recall them. None the less he improvised on the spot " I truly love you with all my heart and soul, and I want to spend the rest of my life with no other person but you." At that moment he got down on one knee and slowly opened the small box to revel a silver ring. He looked up into her emerald green eyes and simple asked, "Will you marry me?"

 Callysto Volkova | Language Master | Head of Slytherin Callysto bit her lip and prayed to every deity she'd ever heard of that she wouldn't mess this up. Her heart pounded in her chest; she pulled a small stone from her robes pocket and placed it in the woman's palm.
She looked into the brunette's eyes, patiently waiting a reaction when she realized the Headmistress might not be familiar with the custom. She frowned and attempted to look anywhere but at Lillian, suddenly worried.
Her silver eyes landed upon the beautiful couple who had taken a break from dancing. Aludra sat at one of the small round tables and Kenneth was holding something small out to her. She didn't need to get closer to see what it was; an obvious engagement. The half-elf grinned wildly at the couple but rolled her eyes. Proposing on Valentine's day. So Cliche, Kenny.

Rose loved this moment.Her dress.How he looked.How beatiful the Ball was.how adorable he was.It was all just as she had planned it when she was 7.She sadly pulled her lips from Ghaleons and walked over to where Professor Renoylds and Aludra was. She couldn't believe her eyes. Aludra with a suprised look on her face.Kenneth on one knee...with a goreuos diamond ring!?! It was so romantic. "Aww Ghaleon! Isn't that romantic. I wish one day someone would propose to me in such a way..."She smiled in awe.Then she looked at Aludra and mouthed "Say Yes".

((Sorry I had to be so quick xD I actually gotta go to bed in a few minutes)) Lillian smiled at Callysto, and took the stone in her hand. It was true, she wasn't really sure what this meant. She looked into the woman's eyes and took her hand, closing her hand around it. For a moment, Lillian looked away, and smiled at the couple, and winked at them both. Cliche, but still quite sweet. "Callysto, I have to be off for now, I love you and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the Valentine's day, and I swear I'll be there for you tommorow if you need to explain the stone to me..." Her voice faded off and left her feeling a bit empty. She kissed Callysto on the cheek and held the stone closely in her hand. What it meant, she wasn't quite sure...but she knew Callysto wouldn't hurt her, therefore, it must be a good thing.

Aludra Yvette... She could have went on like that all night, just she and Kenneth in their own little fantasy world, their world of love. His soap mixed with his natural scent made her fall into a dream like state as a goofy grin appeared on her face. She had to admit, she was a bit discouraged and saddened when Kenneth suggested a break from dancing, but it would be good on her feet since Aludra didnt want them to swell like a bunch of sponges absorbing too much water. So she followed him over to a well decorated round table, one of many that encircled the dance floor for weary couples to take a load off. "Thank you very much love." she said, sitting in the chair he had pulled out for her. Aludra watched him, waiting for him to slip past her and sit in the chair opposite of the table, but instead he did something very peculiar. Kenneth had taken one of her hands and kneel down on one knee. She felt her voice get caught in her throat as Kenneth pulled out a small box and began to speak.
Nothing could have prepared her for what she heard come out of his mouth. She had dreamed of this moment, even as a little girl her silly dream was to get married. Aludra had tears forming in the corners of here eyes as she looked speechlessly down at her lover and the beautiful ring before her. That must have been where he had gone in London, to the jewlers for the ring. She nodded, hardly unable to saying more. "Yes, yes of course I will." she practically sobbed. Aludra caughtly help herself, with the unbalanced hormones in her body and the pure beauty of the moment, it was all too much for her emotions to handle in one day. She slid off of the chair she was sitting on and went down onto her knees, kneeling at Kenneths level. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face into his chest. "I love you Kenneth." she sniffled, trying to hide the tears of joy that were running down her lovely face. ...7th Year Slytherin

Ayamae propped her head up on her hand, sucking up her second bottle of vodka. She felt like cracking the empty bottle on the side of the table and slitting her own throat with it...or maybe someone else's. Needless to say, she was in the most bitter of moods. She wasn't even sure why on earth she'd come to the ball when she knew nobody was going to dance with her. Her forehead hit the tabletop and she stared pitifully at the bright pink cover.

Callysto Volkova | Language Master | Head of Slytherin The half-elf cursed her Elven ancestors for their bizarre customs. The brunette witch obviously did not know what the stone meant. And it was forbidden for Callysto to tell her; or even speak... until she -- Merlin, why did she not think this through more? Her beautiful Queen bid her goodbye and told her she would listen to her explanation of the stone tomorrow. If only she could tell her. But it was against the 'rules.' Callysto smiled after Lillian as she walked away. Deciding to go attempt to congratulate the newly engaged couple Callysto maneuvered her way through the crowd to their table.

 Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year
"Hoo-wee! That was some crazy fun!" she said aloud. She knew she would go back onto the dance floor after half an hour of rest, probably. There was no stopping Eriena when there was music about! She had once danced for five hours straight (with breaks of course. She wasn't Hercules, after all).
She heard something go 'thunk' next to her. Curiously, she turned around, only to see her Potions professor, Ayamae, grumble with her face on the table and a bottle in her hand.
... Well.
This was awkward.
Perhaps she should make sure that she was still alive. "Er... Professor?" Eriena poked her shoulder, unsure if she should actually shake her. "Professor, are you alright?"

Ayamae twitched as someone poked her shoulder. She looked over, not taking the side of her head from the table.Her eyes were beginning to water and her nose and cheeks were rosy red...from the alcohol and her hurt feelings. "'M fine. Jus' a lil' crunk'd. Nuffink anotha drink can't fix..." She brought the bottle back to her lips and downed a few mouthfuls. The sound of her liver crying could almost be heard through her abdomen....
