[Wind Country Academy]
Oasis heard the response and turned knowing which direction to head now. She took off in the new direction, Hatsuma was able to move quite quickly even with as many rabbits as she had. She secured the rabbits and then took off bolt speed to where Hatsuma was waiting for her. She stopped once there and deposited the rabbits. "So, thats five of them." she states with a smile, "So... twenty more yea? maybe I should try getting more than two at a time." she states nodding her head slightly. "I'm gonna try somethin." she states before turning around "Kay, be back with a bunch this time." she states as she took off once again, the human dynamo she is, she ran full tilt back out into the sand. The light was waning and she was wondering how much longer it would take, if it took too long it would to become cold out instead of just a bit chilled. Oasis slowed her run and stopped, she thought about the location of the first and second catch, they were a fairly even distance apart. So she should expect to need to travel a distance before finding another one, they didn't seem to live really close together. She tipped from one side to the other and thought about how to find the next ones, she might be able to do the same thing she did last time, but that left her a little light headed feeling. Then as she was thinking and standing perfectly still something scampered right in front of her, how fortuitous it was a hare. She smirked and watched it for a moment. She didn't have time to get the thread out, she wondered if Hatsuma would be bothered by a slobbery bunny? She shrugged, it was a technique that would work so she would have to deal. She took a slow deep breath and then her cheeks puffed out as if she had a sizable mouthful of something in her mouth. She waited a few moments before releasing a blast of saliva from her mouth, it was thick and viscous acting a lot like instant glue, the rabbit tried to run but couldn't get free from its spot. Oasis chuckled, 'what a funny method' she thought to herself before pulling a little bit of thread and tying the rabbits feet together she picked it up and shook it off wanting to get as much slime off as she could before handing it to Hatsuma. She didn't want to be THAT rude after all. She jumped a few times and then trotted away from there to try and find more rabbits, she knew there would be more than enough of them out here, it was however a large area and finding them might prove difficult. She trotted silently about for awhile before spying a rather sizable hare moving about, as she approached its large ears stood up on end, it had heard her, she reached for her whistle but the rabbit was already bolting, it was going to get away and she wasn't sure of the whistles range, so instead she took off after it. she fumbled some thread into her hand and as she ran she worked it with her fingers into something useful. She spied a rock in the sand as she was running and scooped it up with her other hand while still racing the rabbit, it was pulling away and that was no good. She dropped the stone into her hand holding the string and she wound it up into a usable weapon. She palmed the stone and pushed herself to max speed racing right behind the rabbit she watched and waited for it to change direction and as it started to change direction she threw her left hand forward releasing the tethered stone like a missile aimed at the rabbits side. As the rock flew through the air she came to a skittering halt as she approached something that she didn't want to. The rock did as it was supposed to however and made clean contact with the rabbits side collapsing the hare in an instant. It was very likely dead. She pulled the rock to herself her stance similar to a frightened cat as she looked out ahead of her, it was, 'that place' the gorge. She took a few steps back from it having stopped only just outside of its boundary. She starred at an invisible line in the sand where its territory began. She needed to get the rabbit, but she didn't want to go into that place, at least not alone. She gritted her teeth and looked at the rock and string. She thought about it for awhile, and finally came up with a method that might work, she untied the rock and wove a sort of net from the string then attached the rock to the other end and she held a long leading string in her hand, she twisted the device until the net was more of a cord. She turned the rock a few times and gripped it carefully in her left hand with the string. She nodded a couple of times before letting fly with the stone imparting a spin to the rocks movement it untwisted the net as it flew, the net in turn opened up from the air movement and the contraption landed ensnaring the dead rabbit. If it had been alive this wouldn't have worked likely. She quickly reeled it in and tied it up, the other rabbit she caught earlier had gone silent and wasn't moving, likely it didn't like this place any more than she did. She snarled at the area and backed away from it slowly. As Oasis backed away something had obviously sensed her and it was coming. In a few moments something exploded up out of the sand from a number of feet infront of Oasis, it was a large odd looking ram like animal. It let out a strange howling roar before lowering its head aiming its heavy blunted horns at Oasis it snorted and stamped the ground a few times. Oasis was caught dumbfounded for a moment as it howled. She took a deep breath and looked around, there wasn't much she could do, she didn't even have any appropriate weapons. What was an appropriate weapon against something like 'that' anyway? She needed to defend herself from the charge and then get away from there. She had little time to think before the animal broke into its charge. Oasis jumped back and wide eyed those amber orbs turned blue. She brought her hands together and took a deep breath before jumping higher than she had before, throwing herself up over the animal as she flipped over she aimed at the animal and as her mouth opened a stream of boiling hot water exploded from her mouth searing the hide of her attacker. The beast howled in pain as it fell to the sand and flopped about trying to rid itself of the painful liquid that was all over its body now. When it realized the liquid wasn't going away it roared and started to charge Oasis again. "GO AWAY!" Oasis shouted as she threw herself over the animal again landing in the sand hard she turned and faced it as it skittered to turn around and face her again, she had almost leaped right into 'that place' trying to avoid it. She didn't want to go in there, if something like this could come OUT she didn't want to know what was still waiting inside. As it started another charge Oasis was feeling winded she couldn't keep dodging it, and with its speed outrunning it was not an option, she would need to wound it enough to make it leave, or make it unable to chase. As it prepared to charge again giving out a monstrous bellow Oasis had to react and now. Her eyes stayed blue, but seemed to start glowing as well, a slight emission of light as she waited for its action, it seemed like the beast had slowed down some and as she looked at its horns she had an idea. She brought her hands together and focused a different kind of chakra up from within. Her mouth filled with a substance different from moments ago. She waited a few more moments as the creature reached the right distance and then she let loose with a blast of some kind of thick caustic liquid from her mouth. The substance spattered and splattered all over the charging beasts horns and made a sizzling sound, a light bit of steam rising from its horns as well as its body now. However unlike the boiling liquid the horns started to fall apart. She spat out some kind of acid it seemed. She jumped over the beast as it fell into the sand the pain stumbling its charge she landed behind it bracing herself on one knee as it tumbled through the sand, it flopped about and bellowed loudly as its horns melted away. It smashed its head into the sand again and again trying to make the acid stop, to no avail aside from beating itself silly. In a few moments it collapsed fully and let out a heavy snort as its heaving seemed to slow to a stop. She walked over towards it, the creature seemed to have damage on it already, so perhaps it had been beaten by something worse in that place, and was looking for a quick snack to regain its strength. Oasis shuddered at that last thought, she wasn't a 'quick snack'. She picked up a rock and quickly gave the creature a smash to the head to make certain it was dead. This was coming back with her for sure, perhaps Hatsuma could tell her what it was. So she grabbed it by a leg and then let out three whistles from the device given to her. She was severely winded now, how was she supposed to catch that many more rabbits? She waited for Hatsuma's reply whistle before moving in her direction with what little speed she could muster.

[Wind Country Academy] “That’s not right… there shouldn’t be any so close…” Hatsuma stated as she paid attention to the direction of the whistles noise. She brought her own whistle to her lips and piped out a rather different sounding signal. It was a quick burst a long one and two more quick bursts. She wasn’t contacting Oasis with this instead she was calling out her tribes recon squad and sending them in the direction of Oasis’ last known location. This little task they set up had gotten dangerous really quick, though Oasis seemed to have a sense of foreboding about the location she still got a bit to close, it would undoubtedly rile up anything within its confines, it’s not like they were sealed down there after all. Hatsuma changed her direction towards Oasis’ signal location she had a feeling something might come out if it hadn’t already and if Oasis had killed one of the creatures from the gorge it would entice others within to venture outwards. In moment Oasis’ figure was visible on the horizon moving at a more somber pace then her normal clip which meant she had encountered trouble… a hulking form was being dragged behind her as she approached Hatsuma who’s face showed no signs of the actual concern she had about the current situation. Trailing swiftly from behind hatsuma were shifting lines of sand who shot past Hatsuma and on towards Oasis. Quickly emerging the three trails became recognizable as shinobi. “Girl step away from the creature you are carrying!” the leading Shinobi exclaimed looking past Oasis and towards the gorge. Sure enough the activity had boosted wildly as things began to crawl out from it’s depths. Hatsuma had dropped the silken bag in the sand and rushed pass the three shinobi and Oasis towards the gorge. “Get the beast away from Oasis before the miasma spreads further… take her back to the village with our catch…” Hatsuma stated briefly as she rushed pass the group pulling out triangular tags from her shawl as well as performing hand seals along the way. Shortly the tags began glowing fiercely just as a massive aerial beast flew up from the gorge. As it arced down into a dive at Hatsuma she launched a tag at it with remarkable accuracy. Upon impact the beast stopped mid air and writhed about as little bolts of white energy coursed along its feathered frame. “Repel, and return…” Hatsuma stated simply and as she did the energy bolts intensified and sent the creature reeling back into the gorge sliding rapidly along the ground. The hulking bird hit some other emerging creatures as well causing their efforts to be for naught as they feel back into the depths. Two more of the ram creatures Oasis had encountered began a charge and Hatsuma threw tags at them as well baring similar results. “Repel… and return…” she stated once more causing the beasts to launch into the gorge opening the same as the bird beast. Hatsuma acted swiftly beginning a unique stepping pattern which resembled a dance of some type almost exactly, the steps were sliding as she pirouetted and moved along creating a line with small circles on them in the sand. Meanwhile the Shinobi had silently taken the beast from Oasis and tossed it with surprising accuracy over Hatsuma and across the line in which she had created with her ‘dance’. Hatsuma’s finishing step caused a arrow point on the line to aim at the gorge. She flipped back along the elaborated arrow she had formed and her hands would land in the circles she had formed dropping the small triangles along the way until she reached the end where she knelt by the arrow one hand in the end circle of the arrow. “Reform and restrict barrier of the winds and prevent the evil in this place from escaping once more…” Hatsuma’s voice chanted out and as her words ended the arrow she made burst to life causing a torrent of sand and wind to billow up and rush towards the entrance of the gorge. The miasma that had breached the invisible barrier was now pushed back into the gorge and the seal restored. The scene was silent once more as Hatsuma stood and turned to approach the three shinobi and Oasis. Upon reaching them the shinobi bowed, of which Hatsuma gave no response to it and instead looked to Oasis. “We are finished for the day… I would have hoped you had listened to the instructions regarding any trouble… This place is dangerous and best left handled by my people not regular shinobi like you…” Hatsuma stated calmly before walking past to retrieve the bag she had left, luckily the breach was minor however it could have been more dangerous then what had actually happened. “Let’s go to my village Oasis, there you can rest while these three gather the rest of the feast, they are better at it then either of us after all…” Hatsuma motioned to the three who had gotten back up from their bowing stance and they quickly left and proceeded to capture the rest of the desert hare. “You should present the hare to my elder as an apology for what happened, it isn’t anything major but should still be addressed with an apology… come now” Hatsuma stated walking towards the horizon over which was the caravan of her people.

As Oasis approached Hatsuma the glowing blue left her eyes before the two were within visual range, she was about to say something as they neared each other but the arrival of several shinobi, who were similarly dressed to Hatsuma appeared, had to be her tribe. What was going on? the chief had told her that nothing lived in that place. Yet she had fought something from there, and now more and more things were coming out, and as their numbers grew the bad sensation that Oasis felt grew. She turned and looked back as Hatsuma repelled the monsters with little effort making her sneer slightly, it was good her friend was so able to repel them, but it made her feel like a fool that it took her so much effort to take down only one. As the other nomads grabbed the beast from her she resisted for only a moment before moving away and letting them dispatch of it. She watched closely as Hatsuma moved, her eyes piercing the movements and for a brief moment she saw, something. It was like the air had turned. a sickening, purple color? The area just infront of Hatsuma, the area that she had tried to avoid, it was a strange color, however nearly as quickly as she had seen it, the color vanished. Oasis reached at her side and gripped the now squirming rabbit by the throat giving a deft twist f her fingers she snapped its neck and forced it to stop moving. "... what... is going on?" she states quietly as she watched until the performance ended and all the strange monsters had vanished. She waited a few moments before approaching Hatsuma. "I don't know whats going on here! but, I want an explanation!?" she states in an obviously stirred voice "I Have never once seen anything like that in the desert before, and you, you say that your people fight them, as if its a normal occurrence!" she states as her vision carried to the other nomad who left and finished their hunt. Oasis turned and kept pace with Hatsuma. She held her last two rabbits tight at her sides as her jaw set tightly. That, what ever it was, that happened out there was not natural. It couldn't have been. Were they yokai or something? The chief had told stories about demons. She picked up the pace for a moment until she was closer to Hatsuma. "...So... how do I apologize to your elder?" she questions as she looked at the place they were approaching, she knew how to apologize to her chief, it was easy, she just said 'I'm sorry, promise I wont do it again' and the chief would laugh and say 'I know thats not true, its alright' and she would be on her way. This felt, ominous, a group of people who even a young member could dispatch beasts with little effort. She shuddered lightly, perhaps she had gotten herself into something bad. She didn't think Hatsuma would lead her into a trap, so, perhaps it wouldn't be all that bad.

Isuko patiently waited in the preparation room for his final test for graduation from the Academy and advancement to the rank of Gennin. He wasn’t sure what the test would entail. Isuko’s hands clenched and flexed unconsciously, the only outward sign of his nervousness. He had confidence in his abilities, but his blindness could be a potential problem. He had trouble with any kind of sight based jutsu. As long as he didn’t need to create an army of clones, he should be ok. ”My taijutsu skills are second to none in my class. I may not be able to see, but I can still tell where the walls of the room are from the echoes of my breathing and tell where the other waiting students are from their scents and breathing. I can rely on my sense of touch to read the vibrations in the floor. I can overcome this. I will make Gennin.” He noticed the movement of his hands and began mentally reviewing one of the more complicated sword katas he knew. The familiar motions, even when only performed mentally soothed his nerves and quieted his mind. He knew his turn would be soon, so he precisely began wrapping his forearms and hands with the fighting bandages he kept in one of the pockets on his flak jacket. In what seemed no time at all, the proctor called his name. He calmly stood, quickly checking that he gear was in place. As he reached the proctor, the man placed a hand on Isuko’s arm. ”When you enter the room, you will remove all weapons, armor, and other possessions, leaving them in the bin provided. Take the kit offered you and follow the instructions you are given.” Isuko turned his face toward the chuunin proctor and nodded once in acknowledgement of the instructions. He entered the room and quickly removed all possessions that matched the instructions. The kit provided contained 36 senbon, 4 kunai, 1 exploding tag, 8 shuriken, and 2 smoke bombs. Isuko efficiently placed the provided items in their proper places on his person. A burst of static heralded the voice over the public address system. ”4.3 meters to the North is a door that leads to the proctor who let you in. Proceed through it and begin your exam.” Isuko nodded once again and proceeded through the door. As he stepped through, Isuko’s instincts screamed at him to move. Trusting his gut, Isuko dove to the side as 3 kunai embedded themselves in the wall, flying through the space he had been occupying only moments before. Isuko rolled to his feet, senses straining trying to locate his attacker. Again, his instincts saved him as 5 shuriken came flying at him. He deftly drew a kunai and deflected the projectiles. ”There was definitely a metallic click before those were launched. He’s using pre-placed traps and launchers to assault me without revealing his position. Hmm… What’s the objective? Defeat the proctor? Unlikely. He must be chuunin rank or higher. Survive? Too easy. Wilderness survival was more hell than what this has been so far. Locate my attacker. That has to be it. I’m at a handicap since I can’t rely on sight, but that may prove to be an advantage. Isuko knelt for a moment, prepared to dodge out of the way if need be. When he stood, the laces on his boots were undone and ready to be kicked off. Again, Isuko felt rather than heard the air displacement as projectiles were sent his way. He chose to dodge again, this time losing his boots towards the locations of the previous two traps with precise kicks of his feet. He allowed himself a slight smile of satisfaction as he heard the crunch and clamor of the two traps being destroyed. Rolling once again into a crouch, Isuko set about his task of locating his attacker. He gathered several of his senbon and began throwing them in an even pattern around the room. After throwing 8, Isuko was confident in his mental picture of the size and shape of the room. ”28 senbon left.” He loosed one of his two smoke bombs to the corner of the room opposite him, filling half of the room with smoke. Isuko swiftly stalked into the obscuring vapor and began his hunt.

[Wind Country Academy] “It isn’t a difficult thing to apologize just go before him and ask for forgiveness in your actions, though I should have probably made more strict guidelines concerning the gorge… I’ll ask for repentance as well…” Hatsuma explained as the approached a caravan that was now settled down and set up for camp, various tents lined the area and the people all paused in what they were doing as Hatsuma and Oasis approached. Upon looking at the people, every single one of them including children bore various symbols and markings upon their body similar to that of Hatsuma’s face markings in design however the older members bore elaborated versions that bared a striking resemblance to the markings upon Oasis. Hatsuma had noticed this earlier however Oasis had unique markings of which only her elder had a similar styling upon him. Hatsuma nodded to the villages that returned the greeting kindly yet kept their curious eyes upon Oasis since the markings were obviously a unique set. Soon they approached the tent and Hatsuma handed the bag with the previously captured hares to Oasis before speaking. “This is his home, let’s go…” Hatsuma stated moving the tents entry flap aside for Oasis to allow her to enter. Within the tent was and elderly man with a long white beard to match his lengthy white hair. Upon his tired skin there were many symbols and markings, though they were a bit faded with age they had a feint glow to them. “Hm enter children I do not bite, there was trouble at the gorge, mind indulging me on the cause miss Bā'ith, You can enter as well Qābiḍ I’ll here your report on the resealing of the miasma after I’ve spoken with Bā'ith…” The man spoke as he said the word Bā'ith his eyes would rest upon Oasis as if it were her name. “I understand Ḥakam… I shall wait here then…” Hatsuma stated calmly as she took a seat upon one of the mats allowing the flap to close behind her and Oasis. The light source in the tent was a s string small orange spheres that seems to have the feeling of belonging to some kind of festival rather then interior lighting to a man’s home whose very appearance screamed elder or wise-man. “So Bā'ith what brings you from your tribe to this land? And please be seated I would like you to be comfortable in my home.” the elder Ḥakam questioned motioning her to sit before him with a gentle motion of his tired looking hand. He awaited Oasis response most facial expression hidden mostly behind his beard though if one paid close attention one might see the gentle smile it bore.

Oasis walked quietly through the interesting village type setup, obviously very nomadic, she saw the glances she was getting, they were similar in effect to the ones she got in other places, yet different in the demeanor it was strange really. She also wondered why they all had markings as well. She paused outside the elders tent for a bit before she followed Hatsuma, she entered and stood nervously looking around, she found herself confused when he addressed someone by then name Ba'ith. and then Hatsuma was addressed as Qabid. So, did that mean she was Ba'ith some how? She blinked a few times, what did Ba'ith mean? she had been called a yokai a couple times by some spiteful idiots, but she had no idea what he meant. She was about to say something when she really took in his appearanec. He had markings, all over him. Though they were old like his skin, they seemed to glow. She closed her mouth and knelt placing her hands knuckles down on the rug in front of the elder. "I apologize." she states quietly as she looked up she couldn't help but focus on his markings slightly. "I was chasing a hare, and, I neared 'that place'... something, jumped out after me... I didn't know it was wrong to kill it." she states apologetically bowing her head again. Though as if in reaction to his glowing markings Oasis let out a subtle shimmer of their own. When she lifted her head again a light ring of shimmering blue surrounded her amber eyes. She sat down and looked up at the elder. "...I am teamed up with Hatsuma-tan... For the academy exams. She is my partner, I hope I don't prove a burden though." she states fairly boldly, though whispering the last portion of her statement. "...Why, do you call me Ba'ith?" she finally questions looking up curiously at the old man, who, the longer she sat before him the more she realized he wasn't a scary ominous figure who was just waiting to jump out of his seat and tear off her flesh.

[Wind Country Academy] “I see you are a student at the village for shinobi in this land?” Ḥakam questioned looking over the girl who clearly had been left out of the loop on her role in life. “So you know not of your role name? your tribe never addressed you as Bā'ith before? Hm…” the elderly man stroked at his beard a bit before coming to a decision. “ you are of the fallen tribe then… you are probably the only youth in your village who has markings like you do… I see… well on to the matter at hand then, it was not wrong to kill the beast, the wrong was in removing it from the gorge, as you might have noticed it’s not a regular place…” he paused for a moment before continuing taking the opportunity to drink from a small gourd. “You see that place is a nest of things most people call demons or Yokai, they are essentially tailed beasts who have not matured to strength… kaiju spawn… they are not born in any natural manner but are an amassing of negative chakras from various regions. The negative chakras pool and form area’s of miasma like the gorge. “Ḥakam explained calmly. “little known to others a group of people had been elected long ago to suppress the miasma’s and keep them from spreading out of the regions they inhabited, for if to miasma regions were to form they would cause terrible destruction… your tribe decided it was best long ago to destroy the miasma area outright… but this is something we cannot do for they would simply reform elsewhere in an unknown area for which no one could deter.” He continued on pausing to take another sip from his gourd briefly, “these tribes are nomad so as not to arouse suspicion amongst commoners and everyone has a role which become know through markings that form on their bodies in their youth… like Hatsuma’s markings they start small and eventually develop into full body markings. We call people by their role titles out of a courtesy for their significance… Hatsuma’s Role title is Qābiḍ it means restrainer, you likely saw what her role abilities were capable of today… your role title would be Bā'ith, it means restorer and you would have had the role of sustaining your village in miraculous ways, though you may have done so regardless since the role is a rarity, I am known by my role title as well, Ḥakam, it means judge… I would rather not delve into what my role’s abilities pertain as it may confuse you a bit… however know this… It was I who condemned your tribe for their transgressions… for this I apologize for causing the falling of your people from their duty…” Ḥakam finished taking another sip from his gourd, “ I hope this isn’t to much information…” he added realizing he had spoken an awful lot to answer her questions.

Oasis was quiet for a bit "...Ma, an papa... they never said anything about any of this... we, the three of us weren't originally a part of the village we live in now... So... are my parents? or, the group we live with now the fallen tribe... and... How come I am the only one then?" she questions her long ears flicking about as she tried to figure it out. "Oh, you know alot... so, can you tell me about this?" she questions putting her hands up behind her ears "Why, are my ears all long an pointy an stuff?" she questions emphasizing them with her hands. It seemed alot of things were slow to sink in for Oasis. "... Restorer..." she was quiet for a moment longer as she thought about it. "The elder says the first thing I ever did in my home was to find a water source when they had a terrible drought. I don't think I do anything other than that... I haven't noticed anything else, just water powers... seems strange in a desert though." she mewled thinking about it some more. "If... the markings change as you get older, how come mine are all over?" she questions holding her arms out looking at the markings she could see there, and the bright blue markings were abundantly apparent on the flesh of her thighs. She shook her head "...I didn't know anything about it, so... don't apologize to me, maybe you should talk to my chief guy, I think you two would be buddies... you are, really similar actually." she says with a smile. She really didn't fully understand what she was hearing, but she did know why Hatsuma was able to beat the yokai so easily and that made her happy. She scrubbed at the side of her head messing her red hair up as she thought some more about it, though that wouldn't get her much of anywhere.

Quote: [Outskirts of Academy of Hidden Sound]
Collé was impatient, as were the notions her stomach was making. Hunger, it was a most formidable foe to her life as of late, fatiguing her in even the most mundane of tasks. 'Twas lucky that Violin came as natural as breathing for her, and even more so that it could attract attention. Collé needed company, and it was perhaps in her best interest to make some, for the sake of locating some substance worth eating, apart from bitter fruits and hard berries. The environment was a forgiving one, abundant in temperate food and cooling water, but the more nectary of organics were aloof from immediate view. Exceptionally for the kind of person that payed little attention to the material world as it was anyways. Collé was no survivalist, that was certain. However, she was a musician, and that was something she could take advantage of. Hopefully... It was the beginning of a softer Sonata, with rising notes and major scales, weaved on blonde hairs, shimmering over bleeding red wood that embodied the Violin of small stature. As Collé's music graced the Treble Clef, her eyes traced to a particular window of the nearby building. It was the Academy of the Village, of that Collé was certain. She had come to the realization that it was very likely that more formidable Ninja would pose problems presenting themselves to strangers. Those who edged just past adolescence, with mature thoughts and open minds, Collé was hoping to entrance a more sensible type.
It was easy to pick a face from a crowd, but harder to notate that which had no face. It was in this particular case that a mask of Renaissance flavor had attracted Collé's attention to, and as is with true with most Cause-And-Effect cases, she requested the attention. Through Violin hymn, to be sure. With closed eyes, still playing softly, she began concentrating. Collé felt the sound in her mind, creating an image like even strokes of paint. She then transfered the image into vibrations, like streaming Data. It was a complicated set of phases, something neigh but indescribable using simplified English. A universal language, there never was. Nonetheless, it was Collé's duty to touch the senses with a different sort of language. So she played, and let the sound into the mind of a man in a mask, through a fogged window, through the mind. It wasn't as if it was a particularly fatiguing task, but Collé could not break concentration, at risk of falling flat. Playing music, hearing music, translating music, All there necessary at the same time for such a connection to pan out correctly. So she played, from underneath the shade of a tree that backed into the sparse woods, focusing on the reflective glass that contained the mind she was caressing with song.
As her song took a slightly more drawing pace, Collé turned up the volume... Slightly. It was important to be careful in situations affecting a conscious mind, small alterations so as not to alarm. However, she seemed to have already gained the attention of the figure, noticing a slight turn of the head that spelled acknowledgement. It was a hook on the line, and she needed to reel... But how? Collé had come to terms with the fact that she hadn't really pondered out that part of the plan. She could urge the stranger into her direction, but not when he was confined in a classroom. The length of lectures was something she was unsure of. She had been a student from birth, to a more localized sort of teacher. Her father, someone of music whom she missed sincerely. With hopeful finality, it seemed the man she was dwindling bait for was exiting the building. Collé must have been playing for near a half an hour... As comfortably as breathing... But the man, he was looking for something. Perfect... She placed herself onto a nearby branch, settled and comfortable, still playing. He would find her, Collé was certain now. The sound had attracted someone who loved music, and it was clear by his dignified determination that he wasn't going to bypass such a set of measures as simple mental play. She lay in waiting, with a leg draping down and with sound pouring from the strings at humble volume. When he would be close enough to hear the Violin without the assistance of Neuromancy, Collé would play mundanely. It sounded better through the air anyways, it was something she knew from experience.

The mind of the Doctor was filled with the notes of a goddess pulling him ever closer to the source. The dancing notes ranging greatly quickly and powerfully sent his mind into a near obsession. The fact that no one other than himself could hear the symphony had been eclipsed by his appreciation of the talent behind it. The beak of the man rotated slowly allowing the glass lenses to scan across the scattered peoples of the Hidden Sound. For a village known for its sonic jutsu there were few candidates to be the source of the music. The sight of the people brought immediate formulas and experiments into mind allowing for further advancement of his ideals. The formula were unimaginably hard to concentrate on when the hypnotic tones resonated in his mind. With a calm stride the robed man ventured forth following the now distant sounds of a stringed instrument in the distance. The now mundane sounds of a bow across the strings seemed so faint and paled compared to the pure notes that rested within his mind. Through the mask it was hard to perceive the world and sound was just another restricted aspect of the reality outside of the suit. In the distance his glassed eyes connected with the imagine of a young woman.
She stood under the shade of a tree not far from the academy. In her hand rested an elegant mast crafted violin and her bow danced across the strings in a way Cain had never witnessed before. Cain's vision locked onto the imagine not letting his beak shift from one side to other. The focus of the grim being rested solely on the young woman in front of him. The casual step along with the rythematic clicking of his cane on the ground came to a stop as the towering figure looked to the girl in front of him. His gloves slowly raised to the side of his beak like an executioner raising an ax. Click, click. "Your talents... are impressive." The scrambled electronic voice sounded forth in a respectful near whisper. The Doctor examined the girls hands making note of the years of training and damage, every vain that flexed from the skin danced to him telling yet another story of the girl's struggle. It was all around unusual that the girl had decided to bring him from his class, or at least distract him. "May I help you?" Between words a small hum could be heard as if stretching each word together in a slow grim expression. The figure stood perfectly still with both waxed gloves resting atop the polished brass handle. The Doctor took little note of the girls appearance only noticing certain anatomical cues hinting that the girl was rather healthy and most likely well trained and traversed. Chloroform... if things turn bad I can simply bring her unconscious. The Doctor flexed his chakra allowing for the signature of the chloroform packet to softly levitate within his deep pockets. Until he was threatened the Doctor would not make an adversary of himself. That is of course, if the girl did not inspire an experiment.

Collé was excited to see the approach of the figure with the pointed mask. His features, deeply accented by protective and dark trappings and robes. She was regretful to finish her piece, but played just a measure longer than when he finished inquiring. He could wait, the piece was a Four over Four, and could not be finished on an odd measure. The final note sung out, an A major chord... It might have been an octave too high for the piece if Collé had not planned for such a finish, but her Violin was unique in the way that it handled even the higher notes with confidence and purity... Notes that other stringed instruments would have screeched out like thumbscrews on concrete. When she finished, Collé sheathed her Violin Bow at her side, with the blade facing the back. She then leapt down from the branch, landing with admirable dexterity on the ground that lay shaded beneath. Holding the Violin by the neck, at her side, Collé examined the stranger in the condemning silence. When he had spoken, it was in attempt to hide his voice, which Collé found peculiar... As well as futile, considering that she listened through vibration instead of pure sound. She could easily filter out the electrical frequency from the voice that lay underneath. A voice of dignity, and intelligence far beyond maturity. Her keen-beyond-normal senses were something that Collé would keep secret. If the man wanted to hide his voice, it was his prerogative to do so. 'Twasn't her duty to inform people of futility, not when a vast majority of what she deemed deific was, for all intensive purposes, logically useless.
It was at this moment that Collé chose to speak, having taken an easy half a minute to leave company in wait for response. He seemed a patient fellow though, she doubted he would take offense. However, It was difficult to tell someone's objectives behind the confines of a mask. He seemed to have taken a liking for her music, if sarcasm wasn't on his hidden agenda. "May I inquire as to your name, sir?" Collé spoke simply, asking a short question. It wouldn't be something of prying, she didn't even ask his name. She simply asked if she could ask his name. Innocence had a method of worming it's way into most questions that play into grammatically correct, carefully pronounced English. With the completion of this question, Collé strolled slightly, taking a semi-circle around the man, still staying a distance of an easy ten feet. She was trusting, perhaps naive at times, but she wasn't unwise. Although he seemed to be particularly passive, as far as Ninja come, it wasn't inconceivable that he would strike out in harm. Collé acknowledged things like this, but bravery and fear were subjects that had left the subject matter of her subconscious years ago. Some of the more refined humanities tend to do that when one witnesses the paternal and guiding figure of their life cleft asunder all over her walls. With this, came a notion of fearlessness that wasn't out of objective or courage, but rather lacking a need to have fear. Collé didn't value her life neigh as much as the music that surrounded it, and therefore it wasn't strangers that she feared. Perhaps it was strangers that should fear her. She knew not. All she did know was that a name was the first step to a conversation, and she wasn't about to give hers to a man who could withhold the possibility of having no intention of giving his. However, an invitation to know implied that it was knowledge worth sharing, so all he had to do was ask. It was with these sentiments in mind that Collé stopped her semi circle after progressing perhaps 90 degrees, and then began slowly moving back towards her original standing position, taking the same path in the same straight posture.

"Doctor Cain Fuuma." The robotic voice spilled out a direct answer to a seemingly direct question. The mask did not budge as the girl made her movements, nor did any of the being. From within the glass holes of the mask Cain watched her slowly moving. She did not seem jumpy nor even on edge, if she was with intent of offensive here muscles would have been much more tense than they were. Little details danced across the Doctor's mind as he watched and listened to her. The ceasing of her music had left his mind cluttered with analysis once again and the reminder of the anatomical build lead his find to fluid assumptions. A name to the Doctor was nothing more than a place holder, a reminder, or a formality. It was nothing worth keeping secret, nothing of importance. Her vocabulary was careful and indirect showing her intelligence and verbal poise. It had been clear from the beginning that she possessed auditory talents beyond simply being a musician. She bore no headband, known as the universal symbol of a shinobi, so he was sure at the least she was not a registered ninja.
"And you are...?" His question a bit more direct than the girl's but in a sense even more open for a variety of answers. A good way to judge who a person is is through the way they speak. Vocalization allows one to easily pull apart a human's mental roots. It did not take Cain long to realize that the music was far more entrancing than he had at first established. The note remained within his mind as he listened to the few words she spoke, it was as if he had associated her voice with the music she produced. He did not wait long for her response to his question before repeating one, "May I help you...?" The sound hissed out with a slight buzz from the device. It was becoming almost difficult for the Doctor to focus his chakra into the device as well as control the Chloroform. The Doctor would sacrifice his life sooner than associate himself to be a human, and so he released his focus on the package and channeled the chakra to his beak. With a slow and casual turn of the further knob he lowered the voice to a casual level associated with close conversations. He was finished listening to a man attempt to teach him all that he had already mastered. He would remain conversing with this interesting specimen until he had deemed her a proper experiment or a nuisance. He was quite intrigued so far and awaited to learn more.

Their conversation was already taking a turn for the better, which was a good thing for Collé, exceptionally considering that the man she was dealing with was nothing short of strange in nearly all ways. Cain Fuuma... The last name was one of familiarity, but she wasn't sure from where. However, that didn't matter. 'Twas the first name that was important, the dictation with which to name someone. Collé was strong of memory with names, particular and vibrant, single syllabic ones attracted her ears. She smiled a little, and started to lower her stature, to seating position. As Collé sat against the tree, she crossed her legs with as much courtesy as she could, setting the violin and it's akin bow against the bark, adjacent to her. In feign comfort, she shifted her hip's positioning. The sitting wasn't to find more physical appeasement, but rather to sate the fatigue that was embarking upon her muscles. What could he help her with? Collé was becoming unsure, in honesty. The man carried no bags, no lunch, it didn't seem he had any consumables of any nature. That was a shame, but it wasn't as if it was her goal to take advantage of him. Perhaps a sense of honesty was what was best in this case...
Collé spoke softly, with welcoming tone. "Well, my name is Collé, spelled more difficultly than it sounds..." She giggled, plucking a string absently on her Crimson Viol. It hummed a pause into the air, soaring D note, giving her a smile before continuing. "And how many you help me... Hm... Well, foremost, I suppose I was looking for company. But, in secondary, I am rather hungry. Food deprived, truly. Might you know where I could locate some sustenance, perhaps lacking a monetary value?" Collé realized at that moment that she had a unique dilemma. Although she had resided in a local place for most of her life, fed and sheltered, she had never needed allowance of any kind. As such, she was dead poor. After speaking, Collé picked up her stringed friend, playing softly so as not to interrupt any conversing dialogue.

[Wind Country Academy] “The markings are not made by us, but rather it is a blessing from the gods to empower us to do our duty, pointed ears are not unheard of but they are a rarity to be marked with…” The elder explained calmly looking over Oasis a moment. “I feel the tribe you are in is in fact the judged tribe I spoke of, it is likely that your parents were from another tribe who had not fallen… the reason no one else in your village would bare no markings has to do with a part of my role… I have the power to remove an entire people from the grace of the gods…” Ḥakam smiled as Oasis question her own abilities. “what thing brings life to wastelands? What is most needed for restoration in a place that holds barren plant life? Water is essential for living in these lands and the fact you find it is proof enough. I imagine if you were elsewhere your abilities might have manifested differently, or perhaps the same, after all the gods will is strange indeed, but we must heed them to endure in this world…” his face went neutral again as she brought up meeting her village’s elder. “as for speaking with your chief that is no longer possible for me to do, I cannot leave the caravan any longer, I’ll spare the details as to why but your elder would not be allowed to enter the caravan nor would he have an easy task locating it. We are illusive to those who bare no role markings. You were able to find us thanks to those marks alone. Normally not even a guide can help you find the place as there is an illusion over the caravan.” He finished. “In either case you are welcome here whenever you need a place to rest Bā'ith, Qābiḍ I will get your report before you leave tomorrow, tonight we need to enjoy the hare you both worked so hard to capture.” The Elder stated getting to his feet in a shakily manner before approaching the tent’s entry way and opening the flap for the two to exit. Hatsuma stood and gave a bow to Ḥakam before exiting the tent. She was surprised the elder divulged so much information to a foreigner, however Oasis was certainly a unique case and it was always wise to trust in the elder’s judgment on things. Outside the tent there was a large bonfire lighting up the caravan homes and wagons with a flickering dancing display of orange, Some villagers were working on preparing the hare on sticks for roasting in the fire, there were a multitude more then what they brought it meant the shinobi who were sent completed their mission in a quick and timely manner. A rather lively dressed older woman came over to the tent her eye’s seemed to match the flames as they dance in unison with the fire. Her hair was lengthy and black and her clothing was similar to that of a dancers both in design and color. It wasn’t hard to see why she would dress in such a manner, though she was older she held a mark of elegance to her to be rivaled of younger females since she had both beauty and an exotic flare thanks to her darker skin tone. “Ah ha! Hatsuma there you are! Ooooh is that your new friend? I heard she was a unique one and the stories didn’t lie on that!” the woman smile wildly as she approached Oasis. “Sorry I couldn’t greet you earlier I was out doing recon and retrieving the shinobi who were sent on a rabbit hunt with no told limit! I’m Hatsuma’s mommy!” the woman chimed out happily glancing back at Hatsuma as she mentioned her relation to her. “it’s nice to see she’s finally making friends, just don’t let her stick in the mud behavior get you down, she needs some pep in her life! Mommy ain’t gonna be around to do it forever so you gotta take up my reigns when I go kiddo!” The woman explained giving a thumbs up to Oasis in a very childish manner. Hatsuma simply remained silent in the background while the two kindred spirits interacted, it wasn’t her place to interfere with the conversation.

[Wind Country Academy]
Oasis nodded lightly. She wasn't completely sure about all this, but it made enough sense for now. "...kay." she states lightly as she thought about it trying to figure it out. She rocked lightly from side to side some, it was really alot to think about. She was able to find this place because of her markings, but his answer about her ears wasn't satisfactory to her. The answer about her powers made sense though. "I understand." she states though she hardly understood most of it. "Well.. Take care ol' man." she muses with a smile as she stepped out of the opened entry way.
Oasis popped out of the tent, her hands behind her back, the glow on her markings and eyes fading away as she took a few steps away from the tent. There was a large fire, and alot of people were gathering around, this had to be a festive bonfire. She had participated in a few at her home. Not many however, because of her water abilities, they usually asked her to keep calm so as not to accidentally extinguish the flames if she got over excited. She wandered a bit keeping near Hatsuma her long ears pointed upwards excitedly as she looked around. It was similar, and yet different from her home. She paused as an interesting beautiful woman approached wearing what looked like dancers garb. She cocked her head to the side until the woman spoke. Oasis went from a confounded face to an excited one in moments. A massive grin wrapped round her face and she rocked from side to side "Hi-lo!" she chimed loudly waving a hand excitedly "Yea, my name's Oasis. I really hope to be Hatsuma's friend!" she mewls with a grin. She nodded her head. "Its nice to meet you Hatsuma's mommy." she states with a bright smile. "Yea... I noticed, she seems kina... I dunno, dreary?" she mewled tipping her head to the side as she looked over to Hatsuma and her stern facial expression. "hehe, can do." she states giving a double thumbs up in return.
