♪ Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody? ♪ ═══════════════════════╕ Kyo accepted the box before quickly opening it and gazing at it's contents. "Ah, yes, just what I was looking for. Kyo continued to look over his new toy while passing the box off to a servant to be disposed of. He pulled the key out and gingerly placed it in an inner jacket pocket for safe keeping before pulling on the cuffs lightly to test their strength. All the while he was paying careful attention to Hibiki. "Oh. I have a lady friend coming for a visit tonight and she's into these kinds of things. I figured I'd give it a try. She makes it sound like a lot of fun, after all." Kyo said nonchalantly as he continued to inspect the handcuffs. A moment later he put slid them into his pants pockets and lifted his head to reveal a giant smile. "I'm just kidding, friends. They're decoration for my office. I'm going to frame them below a phase I have yet to decide upon," he laughed and placed a hand on both men's shoulders to ensure them he had indeed been jesting about the earlier response. Even so, he so rarely acted in such a manner nowadays, and it was a bit out of character for him to joke and laugh with others. He was normally so busy with paperwork and training exercises due to the Hachibantai Reformation Project on top of the regular day to day issues his division had to deal with, that he hardly looked at people when he talked to them much less joked and laughed with them.
Whoa whoa whoa! Hold the phone! Did...did Ro-Ro just make a joke? Zetsumeireiki chimed in, her voice ripe with shock.

I don't see what's so surprising about it. I'm capable of being entertaining as well, I simply choose not to as I am usually busy. He took another drink of sake. "This is really good, delicious." He jumped off the bench then bowed to Nu. "Thank you so much for carrying me over here, I would have looked so foolish if someone else had found me where I was, I should start being more careful, I wonder when that will happen." He bowed to her again. "Would you care to accompany me towards the party guests and maybe try mingling with others? I might be fun, then again, it's also good to have support, ehehe." He gave a nervous laugh and smile. "I wonder if Hibiki is around, or maybe Elisa? Those are the only other two people I am acquainted with as of now, but maybe we should go say hello to Hei, he seems so busy though. And besides I've heard some rather scary stories about him." His face became slightly twisted in fear. "I once heard that Hei ripped someone limb from limb for merely interrupting him when he was having a conversation with someone. Or one time, someone got lost and accidentally got near his lab, and they were never seen again." As he continued to think of all the things he had been hearing he suddenly smiled. "Maybe we should leave Hei and not bother him after all. Ehehe.." He rubbed the back of his head, something he did when he became overly scared or nervous.

"Well, I will back you up this time, so no need to be so frightened..." Rising up, she flattens the wrinkles on her outfit before taking the small lad's hand. "But, we'll start off with....more socializing people, no need to head off to Hei at the get go." Scanning the area, she tries to see who was relatively free to chat. Hei, Yuki,Tsukiko, and Elisa were all talking to their lover's of choice so they were excluded. Though Hei looked happy, looking down at the boy, she wondered how Hei got this sort of reputation, but concluded it was due to the fact that.....he might have actually done those things. Smiling to herself in amusement, she holds her hand tighter before making through the crowds, looking for someone. Passerby stopped to notice such an odd act. From their looks and height difference, one would assume the child as....well, hers. Casting such worries aside for the sake of Czar, she eventually bumps into a pair that looked capable of talking; Suzume and the new Νanabantai Ғukutaichō she had heard about; Ciel Girard, the man she noticed standing near Hei at the beginning of this party.
"Ah, Suzume, I hope you're not too busy..." Tapping the young girl's shoulder from behind, she coordinates Czar to be standing in front of her, in plain sight of the two. "But this Captain severely needs to socialize and I was just trying to help him." Hoping some conversation will flow, for his sake, her eyes eventually turn to the semi new lieutenant. He kept his introduction out so that he could do it properly himself, which might inspire more talking as that was her goal. A quick profile deemed him as a charmer. A intelligent face, the book either for decoration or actual interest. His wiry build suggested his forte in combat, though it could be a ruse. And finally, as though stereotyping him already, she assumed he would have a gentleman like attitude and demeanor, his attire forcing others to think nothing less. "I apologize for not introducing myself....I am Nu Naohito Captain of the Second Division...." With a deep bow, she slowly rises, placing his her hands on Czar's shoulders as she awaits a reply.

423 Hakase Hei Jūnibantai Taichō "...allow me to show you a fate worse than death." Giving Yuki a look of minor annoyance at her decision to not move back in, Hei grunted his disapproval and followed her eyes as she looked away. Like Yuki, he had noticed the 'disturbance' Tsukiko had caused and had also expressed his own worry towards the situation. For now though, he decided to let her deal with her own problems and turned his attention back to Yuki in time to receive a kiss from his sister. He moved his fingers to his forehead, he gingerly touched the spot that had become slightly damp from the moisture from her ruby red lips. Flashing her a boyish grin that held all of his charm, he nodded after she told him that she had to leave. "All right. Though I'm sure you don't need to hear it; take care of yourself." He called out just before the doors shut, allowing him a few moments to watch her backside as she walked away. After snapping out of one of his mini-dazes that came about when Yuki did something alluring, Hei scanned the area to take note of where everyone was. As he did this, he noticed that his pet wolf was now sauntering towards him, carrying part of a ripped bill in his mouth. Once the wolf was at his feet, he knelt down, rubbed his head, removed the paper from his mouth and inspected it. "100,000 bank note? Where on earth did you get this?" The wolf merely stared tentatively back at Hei before he gave up trying to get an answer and retreated to his chair with the wolf in tow.
Once he had sat down, he motioned for a servant who got close and listened to the instructions that Hei whispered to him quickly and quietly. Within minutes, both of his katana were propped up against his chair, though the black one was out of it's saya and sitting in his lap. For the moment, as he had no desire to be bothered, he busied himself with cleaning his katana and sharpening them where it was needed by using a special device of his own invention. It was hand held, looked roughly like a pen only twice the size, and had a rotary device with an abrasive surface, similar to a grinding wheel that allowed it to sharpen the sword with a steady hand. He would move on to the white after several minutes of wiping the blade clean with a solution of his own creation, and then making small touch-ups on the cutting edge.

|683| Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take." (Been feeling under the weather the last few days so forgive me for the late post) Lee continued to watch Eriko for a moment or two longer but as soon as it became apparent she intended to say nothing on the subject he returned his eyes to the others. He had really expected her to say anything on it but there was always a small chance she would. It wasn't long until Eriko simply got up leaving the plate behind as a way of saying she would be back. Watching her walk off in the direction of the new Seventh Division Lieutenant to strike up a conversation. At the sound of a piano playing Lee let his eyes drift over to the person and question and was quite surprised to see Hei sitting at the piano. Listening to the beat Lee closed his eyes as Hei started singing and let the music itself wash over him and calm him. Hei singing was quite odd and unexpected but then again it wasn't too surprising to see him play the piano. Letting out a deep breath Lee opened his eyes as Hei finished letting the his orbs rest on another quite odd thing. That was a wolf that had ventured next to Hei correct? The simple suggestion that Hei would have a pet was quite laughable yet here he was with one it seemed.
Keeping his eyes trained on the wolf for a moment or two Lee was suddenly very aware of something else in his head. Music? Nobody was playing music at all right? At least not this kind of music. Closing his eyes for a moment and rubbing his head he heard Eriko return to her previously vacated seat. He kept his eyes firmly closed and fought the urge to do exactly what this odd music was telling him to do. It would have been different if this was a more private location but this was about as far from private as you could get. Well maybe not as far from private as you could get but it certainly wasn't ideal. Hearing the two simple words coming from Eriko Lee opened his eyes and allowed them to take in her appearance. Something that only strengthened the urge as the song seemed to be coming to an end. Rising up out of his seat quietly he walked around the table till he was next to Eriko. Taking a careful approach Lee waited until she was finished with a bite then put his hand gently under her jaw and turned her face towards him. Leaning in a giving her a deep kiss for a few moments he leaned back and cleared his throat. "I am going to greet some of the others. I shall return. If Nu-taicho comes over or you see her be sure to return her scarf to her."
With that Lee drew back and walked away hands in his pockets and certainly looking more serene then he had minutes ago. Oddly enough the song Hei played seemed to help more than he would have cared to admit though the wolf was still an odd thing he couldn't help but be curious about. Realizing that he had yet to thank Aurelius for the information he had provided a year ago Lee made a beeline straight for him. Walking up behind the blond Lee cleared his throat to alert the other of his presence not that the boy likely needed it. "I would like to extend my thanks to you about the information you provided concerning Dolor. I understand it is late in coming and I am sorry for that." Turning to look in the direction of the others he wished to congratulate at the moment he remained where he was. Elisia and Tsukiko were currently in conversation with each other and probably shouldn't be bothered quite yet. He also wanted to congratulate Hei and Yuki on the new member of their family but Yuki was nowhere to be seen and Hei was giving off a do not be disturbed vibe. "Enjoying yourself Aurelius-kun?" Lee figured he might as well make a little conversation with the blond while he waited.
"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. That is what the Lily of the Valley symbolizes."

Sora Kazama, Sanbantai Fukutaichō Sora made his way to the reception late as usual not that he hadn't attended the wedding itself. He had been there and witnessed the whole thing though it was rather boring for someone like him. He had never enjoyed weddings all that much and he certainly couldn't say he knew either of the brides really at all. So he sat through the thing in silence but naturally bored out of his mind. When it was finally over he stopped on a nearby rooftop to catch a little shut eye before heading to the reception. Of course he had only intended to catch a minute or two and had instead caught considerably more. Oh well it had already happened and it wasn't like the thing was mandatory anyway. Entering the reception area Sora immediately took out his own private jug of sake and took a swig straight from the jug before returning it to it's previous location. He had dressed in a simple black suit for the event that he found to just be stuffy. How people could wear these things all the time was beyond him.
The tie that went with the suit had long since been thrown away and now that he had arrived he took off the jacket part of the suit to make himself more comfortable. Draping the jacket over his left arm Sora took to searching the crowd for the familiar sight of his short Captain. Spotting Czar a little ways off Sora gave a slight smile at the current company he had making sure to fix his hair straight again. Walking over to the group with a smile on his face he cleared his throat once he was within earshot. "Oi Taicho! You didn't tell me you were bringing a date to the wedding. Unless she is not your date at which I will introduce myself. I am Sora Kazama Sanbantai Fukutaicho and all around nice guy. Don't mind my Taicho he tends to be a little shy in the company of beautiful women and sophisticated men." Stopping beside Czar he patted him on the arm perhaps a little harder than he had initially intended.
Given the current company his Captain was in Sora was already contemplating using him to meet ladies in the future. They did tend to flock around whenever there was someone like Czar around and they tended to also be nicer. Giving Nu a sideways glance he took in her appearance completely before doing the same with Suzume. "So how do you know everyone Taicho? I always thought of you as more of a hermit? Perhaps we should socialize more outside work...have a drink or something.." While he was never one for honorifics he always referred to Czar as simply Taicho. He never considered that he was talking to what appeared to be a little kid about drinking. Turning to Ciel Sora held out his right hand to shake figuring there was no reason to not at least be polite. Given his rather new promotion to the rank of Lieutenant he had not really made the rounds and met everyone. Sure he knew who some of the Captains and Lieutenants were but had never really bothered to meet them in person.

⋆⋆⋆∥ HAKASE xELISIA ☇【 yonbantaixTAICHO 】 Elisia half-smiled at Tsukiko, attempting to conceal any other sign of her inner misery as she devoured a watermelon, noting the sweet taste of it. It was a mixed feeling at the moment, of both anticipation and dread. However, she nodded in response to Tsukiko’s statement, committing to herself to tell Tsukiko about it later. After all, Tsukiko herself had told her about the fact that she couldn’t exactly feel anything like she could herself, at least, before all the modifications that had been done in the recent months. Her attention flickered briefly to Yuki, as her mother-in-law departed for one reason or another. Maybe there was something wrong with the human world or something else? Hopefully, there wasn’t anything wrong in Seireitei itself as it would be pretty awkward and uncomfortable to have to run around in her current wedding dress or have to ditch the wedding reception half-way. After all, there had been quite a bit of effort and money put into this. Pulling a wry face, she abandoned that train of thought and instead leaned forward, brushing Tsukiko’s hair with a cheerful expression on her face. The bliss was still there and it was impossible to keep the happiness off her face. “Thank you, Tsuki, for always being there for me,” she confessed, shyly smiling. Attempting to cover up and distract away from that, she remembered the present that Hibiki had given to them, taking it out. Coyly grinning, she handed it over to Tsukiko to open it, telling her, “By the way, Kirisho-Taichō wished us luck and he gave us this ~”

Hibiki Kirisho - Squad Nine Captain - ================================================
The gods trembled The demons flockedHibiki nodded responsively as Tadashi commented on the book. He smirked a bit as Tadashi went off on a small rant about what he understood from the book, it reminded Hibiki of the first book he had read, Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo. The images the book depicted and the overall theme it exuded kept him occupied for days on end, which is what he believes a good book is supposed to do. Noticing that Tadashi had finished commenting, Hibiki spoke ”Hmm, you say you’re not sure as to what this book is trying to tell you. But, judging from the way you describe the main character, it seems like you already have an idea of what’s it supposed to be.” Hibiki commented before he continued ”Catcher in the Rye, to me, is a perfect story about alienation. In that, in my opinion, the only factor that alienates oneself is oneself.” pausing for a second or so, Hibiki spoke to Tadashi ”That’s what I think of it, what do you think of it? Is your opinion different than mine, or is it similar?” by plainly stating out his opinion, Hibiki was hoping to indirectly aid Tadashi in forming a concrete opinion himself, though he was unsure if his tactic was obvious or not.
After his short monologue, Hibiki turned to address Kyo, not wanting to appear rude by ignoring him. Just in time as well, as the Captain answered Hibiki’s question, causing Hibiki to be dumb struck a bit ”I... see.” he stammered out ”That’s a rather unique fetish then, but to each his own.” no sooner had Hibiki finished however, that Kyo smiled at them and confessed that it was a joke, much to Hibiki’s relief that he had been an unwitting hand to some form of sexual deviation. Chuckling a bit he responded ”Ah, that’s good then. One’s preferences are rarely made topics, especially in public. Though, you should have informed that they were for decorative purposes, I would have secured a pair that is a bit more undamaged.” spoke Hibiki as he continued to smile, it had been a while since he had simply laughed as a Shinigami, and he was glad he chose to attend the party. The winds were unleashed ================================================

ƸӁƷ Sanbantai Taichou - Czar ƸӁƷ ★·.·´¯`·.·★Skyward path, bound to an endless fate, I laugh at your misfortune★·.·´¯`·.·★ Czar followed Nu over to where she intended to introduce him to a few new people. It wasn't that Czar was completely insociable, but he just had an extremely hard time talking to complete strangers for the very first time, after he knew someone he was very easy to get along with, in fact, he loved to communicate daily with acquaintances, but at first, Czar came across as a very very unbearable nervous wreck, often though it was made up for the fact that many said he has pinchable cheekcs, and they even proceeded doing so, which made Czar feel as if he was really a tiny young child, even though he was very old, his childish tendancies seemed to want to stick around, even when he was trying to grow up, it just didn't seem to work. "Nu.." He began to say, but he was cut short as they had already arrived to the individuals that Nu was intending to talk to, it amazed Czar that he had slipped off in thought for that long, was the sake starting to go to his head? He was starting to drag his feet, as they got closer, he felt as if he was being dragged somewhere by his mother, he was getting more and more uncomfortable as the approach came closer.
Czar felt like a bit of a nervous wreck, but, as they now were standing right close to them, and as Nu pushed him in front in order to be able to talk to them, he bowed to the company, slightly shaking. "Good evening, I am Czar, Sanbantai taichou, I'm pleased to meet you." It was odd, Czar was bowing to them as if they were of higher authority than him, as if he was a lowly ranked officer, but, this was natural for Czar, he often did this to those not even members of the Gotei 13. "I know what you must be thinking, what is a kid like me doing as a captain?" He laughed out loud, louder than a normal laugh should be. He wasn't starting off with a good impression of himself. But, suddenly the tides changed, his new Lieutenant had shown up. He wasn't sure if he should be nervous or excited. As soon as Sora made his remark about a date, Czar's face went as red as it could ever get. "What are you talking about!!" Czar looked up to Sora, his eyes giant and full of tears. "How could you say something so outrageous!" He lowered his head and sighed, his voice squeaky. "I honestly don't know anyone Sora-kun. Nu taichou rescued me after I feel asleep and fell off a tree." He let a hiccup as he whispered this quietly to Sora. "sake sake sake sake.." He said to himself before once again smiling to the two Nu had introduced him to. "Oh, sorry about that! Ahaha!" The bottle of sake Czar had been hiding under his robes fell out and poured onto the ground, all Czar could do was give a slight smile. "Ehe, where did that come from?" Czar was an avid drinker, in fact, he drank 20 maybe 30 bottles of sake a day.

▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲ Immediately rising to his feet in an elegant manner, Ciel swept his arm across his waist and bent over, bowing towards Elisia after she had spoken to him. Still staring at the ground, he proceeded to answer her in a timely fashion. "Relatively, yes, but I wouldn't go so far as to call myself 'new.' At least, I am not as new as some Captains and Lieutenants." Straightening up, he retrived his pocket hankerchief from his breast pocket and in one sweeping motion, brushed the non-existent dust from the bench where he intended Suzume to sit down. Turning back towards her, he stuffed the hankerchief back in his pocket, made a motion to indicate that she be seated, and watched her politely for a response, keeping a happy smile planted across his face and shut eyes that still conveyed his pleasant attitude. Ciel's attention upon the pretty girl before him was soon broken by the emergence of two others, those he recognized as Nu Naohito and a boy simply known as Czar after he had cracked upon his eyelids so he could see once more. There existed no surname for the Captain, which was a fact that irked Ciel to no end given his desire to have every ounce of information at his fingertips.
Shifting out of his current position, Ciel lowered the hand that had been extended and pointing to the bench, and moved to to his glasses to push them up into the bridge of his nose. After a brief silence, he swept his arm across his waist and doubled over to bow to them both. "Yes, I am well aware, Naohito-Taichō." He responded politely, keeping his smile constant as he straightened up and looked down at Czar who was noticeably flustered and embarrassed, among other things. "Not at all. Power should not be dictated by such a fluctuating thing as age. While it holds true for some, namely our lovely Sōtaichō and her brother, there are several exceptions, notably the seven-year-old Hakase Tsukiko." Ciel's wandering attention caught Sora approaching from the side, and as he spoke, he committed everything to memory, just as he had been doing with everyone else. When he found a hand waiting to be shaken, he took it and did so elegantly like one might expect a royal to do. After retracting his hand and rubbing the bridge of his nose, he waved towards the bench. "Please, be seated." He said in a polite, yet nearly demanding tone. That was, it sounded as though he wasn't giving them the choice to object without actually being rude about it. Snapping his fingers, he summoned one of Hei's servants who abruptly appeared next to him after his hand had fallen. "Will you be wanting anything to eat?" Ciel asked, motioning to the servant who was clearly ready to take orders as he was holding a pen and a small notepad in his hands. ℒiterature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. Clad in a crisp white suit with an over coat of a matching tone over his shoulders, Hideki held a large grin on his face. He was incredibly happy with this occasion. To be quite frank, he was happy for Tsukiko and proud of Elisia. Elisia had the nerve to ask and seems to have gotten over her shyness. Hideki could ask nothing less from her, as that is all he wanted her to do; to accept the idea of the public knowing their relationship and not worrying about its opinion. Any terrible situation dealing with opinions would not be very prevalent, as the two newly weds know just about everyone, aside from some of the newer recruits. As his thoughts ran amok in his head, his body moved. Hidekis hands were softly patting together after the ceremony. He was standing in the back, as he was comfortable there as opposed to amongst the people. Once everyone was free to do what one wanted, Hideki pocketed his hands leisurely in his hands.
He had kept his eye on Hei during the entire ceremony, but lost him once everyone began to move about. Biting his lip, Hideki moved away from the reception area to where food was being served, picking up small finger foods to bring with him, namely various types of sushi. His right hand carried the small plate that they were on about mid-height. Hideki turned to look towards the piano area as it began to play, finding Hei speaking to people as he played wonderful pieces. This reminded Hideki of many songs he loved to hear, and ignited the urge to play them as well. Hideki decided, however, to wait. Hei was playing and to interrupt him would be incredibly rude, so Hideki moved to a medium sized pond in the garden. Hideki moved to the small bridge that rode over the surface and watched the crowd, the sound of piano and breeze rushing through his ears. It was serene and a nice change to the hectic lifestyle. In his head he projected that it would only double now that he was a captain.
Hideki was enjoying this off time, slowly popping the bite-sized morsels of sticky rice and various fish with, at times, seaweed. Swallowing, Hideki almost jumped at the sudden boom of Hei's voice. He was not expecting such an occurrence, but nonetheless he moved his gaze over to the man. When Hei spoke of singing, Hideki made a soft 'hmph' before Hei proceeded to do the act. Hideki nearly choked on his next bite as Heis voice wafered through the air serenely. With a man of his character, or rather personality, it is an incredibly odd thing to hear this kind of singing. It was almost a complete opposite. Hideki enjoyed it. Nothing could ruin this day, it was to joyous for to be lived down. As Hei finished his song, Hideki was just about done with his small platter and had begun to move to the piano area, an eager look plastered on his face. He found Hei, first, and was ambling towards him.
Hei sharpening his blade in a suit seemed counter productive, but he still managed to make it seem like something you wanted to do. He seemed occupied, cleaning his white katana, though he saw that his black one was already done and figured approaching would not be so far in left field at the moment. "Oi, Hei-taichō. How do you feel? Are you happy with how the day is turning out?" Hideki wanted to speak with Hei before he asked to use the piano for a bit, playing mood music for the guests. He had nothing better to do. He was not a social butterfly, and, more than likely, would only talk to the ones who would speak to him first. Beside the point, Hideki would stay standing unless asked to sit by Hei, his hands returned to his pocket and his hand tapping from idleness.

9th Division Lieutenant Tadashi wasn't sure what to think when he heard Hibiki's question to him. He'd been hoping for a detailed answer to his own inquiry, after all. Holden Caulfield was a lonely boy in the world, and he seemed to not really care much about anything. He was a depressed person who felt like nothing in the face of the world and despised all the fake things people did to further their own self-interest. Tadashi stopped his train of thought and wondered if perhaps that was all that needed to be understood. "I think that's exactly right," murmured Tadashi. However, Hibiki was already talking to Kyo and commenting on his little joke.
Tadashi took the opportunity to sit at a table very close by. It had four chairs, so the two Captains could seat themselves down and chat if they wished. [I has nothing to do scream ]

xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx【 SUZUME CHIYOKO 】 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLoneliness hit me suddenly, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut it’s only t h e n that I realized, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxafter all that I have ever DREAMED of, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G ✿✿✿ Suzume started, utterly surprised by the manner in which this ‘new’ Lieutenant was greeting her. It was just a little bit overdone in her opinion, but that was because she hated fussy things. Then again, he had acted like the perfect gentleman, unlike many in her life. As she was currently quite comfortable standing and she needed to stretch her legs, she wondered exactly how she was going to politely refuse him. Of course, she could just go along with the flow and sit. Luckily enough, she was saved from making any decision that might come out as being rude, when she noticed Nu was there. Smiling at the girl Captain, Suzume’s smile slipped a little as she noticed exactly who Nu had brought. Well, he was a guy, certainly enough, but he looked very young, almost like a child, even. He couldn’t be more than 15 or 16 years old, judging by his looks. Sanbantai Taicho, eh? Funnily enough, that child Captain seemed to know exactly what she was thinking, or at least, what people said, as he laughed nervously and said something about them thinking that he was too young. “It’s very nice to meet you, Czar-Taichō.” she said, dropping a quick bow to be polite.
Her smile broadened a little then, in an effort to promote her friendliness and not come off as being cold or stand-offish. However, she was barely able to keep it there as soon as she heard that Hakase Tsukiko was seven years old. SEVEN YEARS OLD? Shooting a quick look to her new sister-in-law, she flinched at that thought. It looked like Eli had gotten herself further in than she had previously thought. Ah well, it was their problem not hers. Her wary eyes traced over the figure of Sora, noticing the fact that he had checked both her and Nu out. Perhaps he was a flirt? Hopefully not, since she really didn’t feel like causing a massive scene at her sister’s wedding. For the meantime, she merely told herself to breathe slowly and calmly. “I’m Suzume and it’s also very good to be able to meet you, Sora-Fukutaichō.” she said in a composed voice, her nature being calm for now. As Ciel asked them to sit, she did so, deciding that it would be rude not to. If she could corner Nu later, she’d ask a little bit about what was happening between Nu and Czar. From what she had heard, it was something to do with Nu rescuing him, but perhaps there was something else. “Thank you very much,” she paused, not knowing Ciel’s name for now, “but I’m not very hungry at the moment.”

Sora's impression that she was his date was all in good fun she knew, but she had to wonder if Czar was alright. Having her hand rest on the small captain, she could literally feel him shaking over nervousness, apparently the vibrations his body was shaking cost him a secret stash of sake, as it spilled its contents to the ground. "Come one Czar-kun, you need a seat..." Leading the boy to sit with the young gentleman, she stoops over to pick up his fallen sake gourd. Just as she was about to stand erect, her eyes caught Lee....kissing Eriko. If anyone else saw the two, it would have been considered romantic, yet for Nu, having a clear understanding of Lee and his preferences, in this case; he would never, and this was in fact important in judging Lee's character, never display such a thing in public, albeit it was in a rather secluded section of the party. Wishing she hadn't seen that, she tries her best to keep it to herself as she straightens herself, somewhat lost in a daze. It wasn't news to her that they had....relations. Gossip spreads fast around Soul Society and while most of it was useless jargon, there were few moments where one can learn things about their comrades in arms. She herself once grew curious on their relationship, though she doubted she had feelings for the man. It was more mutual respect then anything, but she couldn't help but feel saddened and yet puzzled at the same time. Before she could act, he left her, eyes tracing him to Au-sama's position, which will help her later as she needed to talk to him as well. Looking about, she quickly turns to Ciel, shaking her head to decline any food. She chose to stand instead, keeping a trained eye on Lee as he moved, trying to find any changes in him before she could jump to any conclusions.
Closing her eyes, she remains there standing, trying to piece together the scenario in which case him kissing the girl would be the most probable outcome. Mentally scolding herself for getting so worked up over something that could be nothing, she opens her eyes once more and tries to look attentive, though she was rather poor in acting unless it was related to battle. With Suzume here, she had best look attentive to these men, for Nu's sake, to save herself from Elisa's eventual wrath. Ruffling the small child's hair amusingly, her eyes wander, looking for anything interesting to point out for conversation or people to spot, something Elisa once called, "spotting for eye candy". What sweets and people had in common she had no clue, but that was just another thing she was trying to learn, with mixed results.

Jūbantai-Taichō Eriko had not been minding her own or anyone else's business, preferring to complete the task of consuming the same orange in relaxed silence. It was really good, the citrus flavours flirting with her taste buds. The sensation caused a fleeting thought of asking Hei if she could possibly help with the pickings next season or if he was willing to give some at least. However, this train of thought did not get a chance to take root as a familiar hand gripped under her lower jaw suddenly but very gently in order to make her come face to face with its owner, Lee-kun. "Lee," she started, perplexed by the almost unprecedented touch. Fortunately, her words were caught off as he pressed her lips against hers. Eriko had been sure, expectant that it would end as soon as it started, a replica that first exchange of kisses but that was not the case. Once more than one moment had passed, the Jubantai-Taicho allowed herself to kiss him back freely for the duration of the extra few moments that he gave her. By the time that he pulled back, a flustered Eriko was ready either to continue the embrace or swear at him for stopping in the first place. Neither option became available to her as the older man cleared his throat and left instructions with her about Nu-Taicho's garment. She nodded at his retreating form and kept her eyes on him as he attempted to strike up a conversation with Aurelius. At least, he had been polite enough to say something about him leaving. That was very much unlike her previous departure from the food table. She looked at him for a full minute more before resuming her fruit-centered meal.
When the second and finished half of the orange had been disposed of, Eriko sat there with the butter knife still in hand and stared at her plate with a blank gaze. One might think that something was wrong now such as an upset stomache but any thoughts of that kind were washed away slowly as the girl reclined into her seat and the goofiest grin in ever crept onto her face, teeth and all. Quite characteristically, a minor squeal and foot kicking occured before the grin scaled down into a normal that still showed how much happier she was at that moment. Of course, part of her wanted, demanded to know the reasoning behind the impromptu kiss but that part could be placed into the shadows for now. Besides, he had requested that she do something for him and since she had nothing to do for passing the time, there was no need to keep Nu separated from her scarf for much longer. In her peripheral, Eriko noticed that a servant was simply standing around, waiting probably to be of some use to a guest. She called him over as discreetly as she could, made an inquiry and within a minute, the rest of her fruits were secure in a carry pouch as well as was her slice of cake. She thanked him and picked up the piece of clothing accessory while looking around the estate for its female owner. Her gray eyes spotted a minute huddle of Shinigami and as she appraoched them, they picked up Nu's form. Before she could get to close, the young woman cleared her throat and tried to will some of her blush away. Silly bodily reactions. With a few feet left, Eriko sauntered over to Nu directly but stayed on the outskirts of their little grouping.
"Hello, everyone," she greeted them at large with a slight bow, her eyes scanning over Ciel without a grudge and the rest of people, a mixture of known and unknown faces. Once that was taken care of, Eriko reverted her attention to her fellow Captain. "Sorry to bother you, Nu-Taicho but...Masashi-Taicho asked that I return this to you. I figured that it was a good excuse to continue my socialization venture. How are you holding up? Enjoying the festivites?" She smiled at her warmly while handing over the folded cloth to the other standing woman. This action brought her eyes to the young boy at Nu's side. "Hey, and who is this? A friend of sorts?" It was not her intention to imply anything with the question since it was a genuine inquiry into how they knew each other. Eriko looked down at him and fished out a pear immediately, biting into it in the same manner as she had ravished the apple and subsequent orange. As she awaited Nu's response, her nostrils flared periodically at the sudden scent of spilled sake. She groaned at the sight and circled to the other side of Nu so that she was not stepping in it when someone managed to salvage the gourd pieces. "Does that belong to anyone, by chance?" xxx "Fear - it's a b***h."
