Ready to strike again, he stopped and watched as the scorpiuses ran off with the canteen. Sheathing the blade and stood there for a moment as a glint in the guts, and goo of the scorpiuses caught his eye. Kneeling down, Varnis picked up the object.

Varnis finds himself holding a shiny yet goo covered gold chip. If he looks to the ground he will see many more scattered there glinting in the sparce flickering lights of the torches. They are normal chips fine other then the scropius bial which coats most of the gleaming gold with a greenish tint.
Your reward 100 chips each (or twisted Varnis can call finders keepers lol jk)
(sorry for not posting quicker. I've been recruting. We will have a new member in a matter of days. He just needs to post his character stats in the subbmission thread.)

Perrian kept Luljeta summoned, and didn't return her to her dimension to rest, for the first time. "Luljeta, charge a healing blast and keep it charged." Perrian said. Luljeta nodded and charged one, which emitted some light in front of them. Perrian smirked. "Good job Luljeta, my plan will work. Now for you to rest." Perrian dismissed Luljeta and she turned into light particles and flew away. Perrian smirked and charged a healing blast on his staff, but didn't send it out. He planned to use it as a light to help lead the way.

The stone at Perrian's feet give way. He falls into a hole in the ground about up to his chest, he isn't hurt, but might have just lost concentration on the spell. The word "don't" is whispered though the wind. The floor grumbles almost as if the whole labyrinth is growling. The torch to the rear of your group burns out and the one in the direction you were going bursts on, practically urging you forward.
The red bird that had watched the whole battle from his position up on the wall now flew down. It lands lightly just in front of Perrian. It looks inquisitively at his hands and turns its head this way and that as if thinking.
It then emitts a small bird noise.

Perrian was surprised and took in a deep breath as he fell the small amount. Perrian sighed and looked around, he was trapped in a hole, for now. He put away his staff and sighed. "Um....someone, please help me out of this hole?" He stared at the bird, while waiting for someone to help him up, wondering what the bird was.

Firu cautiously aproached Perrian, keeping one eye on the bird and extended his hand to help him out of the hole. "Have you ever seen a bird like that before?"

Perrian took Firu's hand and got out of the hole. He huffed and shook his head. "Nope, never saw a bird like that in my life."

"Think we should kill it for food then. How long have we been in here anyways?" Bellamin stared at the torches up front. "Seems like something is in an awfull lot of hurry to get us forward."

Varnis looked at Belliman at the words "kill it for food." as he realised how hungry he had become. Looking at the bird, he just watched it for a moment then shook his head before he just started to continue onward. Wether they followed him or not, it didn't matter, he just wanted to know if the lights would light for him, and the lights where the rest were would stay lit.

Perrian nodded. "Lets leave the bird alive, maybe it could be of help to us." Perrian kneeled down and looked like a crazy person talking to the bird. "Birdie, could you help us, somehow, please?"

The torch in the direction Varnis is going bursts on and the one in the back of the group flickers out leaving anyone to the rear of the group in the dark. The bird turns its head once more then moves toward Perrian. The bird lifts its wings and in one swift motion it has landed itself atop Perrian's shoulder. It preens his hair and nibbles on the collar of his robe. The bird feels feverishly hot almost burning to the touch and from this close you can see slight flexes of color in its wings that look like flame light.

"Well it looks like you have made a new friend. But we should keep moving you wouldn't wan't to get left in the dark." With that Firu begins to follow the rest of the party while keeping an eye on Perrian.

"Ow...ya...ow...this bird is burning to the touch." Perrian said and stood up with the bird, probably, still on his shoulder.

The bird stayed on his shoulder. It ruffled it's feathers as Perrian yelled, sending out little bits of ash.

"Odd, a firebird. Maybe a pheonix?" Perrian said and sneezed. "Ahh-ahhh-acchooo!" Perrian wiped his nose and sighed. "Well, lets move on." Perrian said and walked towards Varnis who was walking ahead.
