"This and that." Vincent shrugged and started to absently pick some dirt out from under his fingernails with a dagger. "Playing hide and kill with the light soldiers, taking out random higher ups, the usual I guess." He spoke with absolute calm, as if his actions bored him to death.

"yea things just seem so boring lately dont they" Roe said noticing that her cuts on her arm had opened up again and were starting to bleed. Rose took the dagger from Vincent, " will you stop that, if you keep that up you'll make yourself bleed, and I'M not cleaning things up." she said paying no attention to her own cuts.

Vincent snatched the blade back and sheathed it. "Your one to talk. Where did you get those anyway?" He asked indicating the blood dripping down her arm.

Rose opens the pouch at her waist and takes out a cloth and starts wiping the blood off her arms, "where else, pissed Nightmare off. he doesnt like it very much if you anger the high up ranks." Rose puts the cloth back in the pouch and looks up, " i dont recomend ever having friends who arent with Nightmare, he likes to use things against you." she said remembering the screams of her old friends.

Vincent shrugged his shoulders, raising his hands, palms up, in a hopeless gesture. "What can you do? Honestly, I say trust no one outside Nightmare, and treat even those within with caution. Most among us probably have delusions of usurping Nightmare himself anyway. Personally, I just have nothing better to do."

Rose shrugs and leans on a tree, "i never said i trust everyone i dont even know if i can trust you completely, but i ment they people those people you knew before you turned to Nightmare, he will use them against people. its best to juts forget. and as for people against Nightmare i'm sure they are. everyone had their own thoughts on thins. i just try to do my job and stay out of the way. and not ticking Nightmare off though i havent done a great job at that lately." Rose streched. " Sooooooo, what have you been up to besides killing those poor souls over there?"

"Nothing really. I just wandered around, avoided Nightmare's messengers giving me assignments, and generally trying to think up a new weapon design." Vincent leaned back against a tree and pulled a bottle from the folds of his cloak. He took a long draft from it then put it back. He shivered as the cold water ran around his heart.

"Sounds sooooo interesting," Rose said sarcasticly, " wish i could avoid missions from Nightmare but unfortunatly i have an assignment. they only good thing coming out of it is trying out my new strategy. speaking of which, what do you thing. do i look normal enough to fool those light followers"

"Yeah, you do." Vincent nodded appreciatively. "Well, it can't be all that bad, you could be on death row." He shrugged. "And don't worry, if I get an order to kill you for some reason, I'll refuse."

"thanks" Rose said smiling. "not sure why i'd ever end up on death row but its good to know i have a friend on the inside. i'll try not to put you in that kind of position." Rose started playing with the bark on the tree, "......but, you have to stay out of death row too. i'm just a fighter, it would be hard work for me to have to break you out." Rose laughed

"oooh your so confident in that. just be sure to remember that if the time really comes. Nightmare has been lets say testy lately so i'd watch it if i were you. one false move and he'll be on anyone in a heart beat."

Rose laughed, "yea trust me it would be interesting. he came after me just yesterday. and believe me thats not something you want to go through twice. especially when he's in a bad mood. not something i'd recommend doing."

"Duly noted." Vincent said chuckling. "What did you do to piss him off? Not compliment him on something?" He laughed out loud this time. "The more evil a person like him is, the more touchy they get." He shook his head and stared down at the ground.
