Half the time I have no idea what they're saying, and as you said, they talk about killing and being pimps, and how they refer to women as bitches or whores... pisses me off. stare Agreed, I'm hoping they'll bring back the 80's 90's and country music with out stareio typing it... Yes, bring back music that has meaning in the lyrics. I miss those kinds of songs. I like pop, but only one person in the genre. And that would be Rachel Stevens. She's a wonderful singer and she's drop dead gorgeous. Erm, that doesn't fit here... this is a ranting thread. sweatdrop Otherwise pop has gone to crap, and now everything is fabricated and urg. Media kills all that is good. scream Rap will never die you can only hope it gets better. Just like Rock music.

Its just there are alot of people on Gaia who hate Hip Hop music and they are quit to state how much they hate it. For one thing Hip Hop music isn't aimed at you or address issues that you care about so just don't listen to it. You don't see Hip Hop fans going around saying Rock music sucks. So I don't understand why others are quick to hate on Hip Hop music. If you want Hip Hop with meaningful Lyrics look up these artists:: Black Eye Peas Mos Def Tupac Shakur The Roots Diagable planets. Lyrical content is a matter of opinion. Lyrical content only matters to those that can relate to an artist song lyrics. Just because you cannot relate to the subject matter in Hip Hop does not make it any less creative than other genres of music. Sorry if you feel that I'm picking at you but I'm not. I'm just defending a genre a music that gets a lot of bad press and is constantly being hated on. Since it seems no one on this site is fan of Hip Hop music I figured I'll be the one to educate others on Hip Hop music.

I was looking at the forums today and was appalled at how many people use "gay" and "f**" as insults. Then i was on the message boards on tremor.com and someone called me a f*****t. And then i started thinking about all the people at my school who use those words and about the people who use to call out "dyke" whenever my girlfriend and i passed. And only two of my teachers ever did anything about it when they heard it. One is a lesbian and the other's daughter is a lesbian. None of my other teachers gave a rats a**. In fact, in english once, i was telling my friend mia about my girlfriend and my teacher actually said to me "caitlin, no one wants to hear that." If someone used a racial slur, there would be serious consequences, and rightly so, but when it's a sexual slur, no one cares. *quick sigh* Alright, i'm done.

All of this week when he was playing video games he'd call out "Gay butt loving monkey raper" or something of the such. He tells people to go suck there dad or lick there mom. Calls them butt rapers, gay homo butt rapers ect. The kids at school do so as well, luckly snice I just came out at the end of the year just before summer(like 3 days) I hopefully gave my peers some time to dijest the info and get over it. If not, then there might be a problum Anyways. I understand, not many people give a s**t and the is ******** worng

i have gotten to where i can't stand men. my husband in general. seems like every time i crawl into bed he automatically thinks he's going to get a piece of a** from me. it has gotten so bad that i won't even go to bed until he actually leaves for work in the afternoon. and when i tell him no he stomps around the house pouting and sulking worse than our 2 year old. i just don't care for sex anymore, it's not even all it's cracked up to be. i think i just need to find a woman and say to hell with the male species, at least women know that "no" means "no" and not "later" or "maybe".
