Marcus smiled "You almost did." He stood and sighed
"Damn...looks like I gotta go." He smiled at her "Gomroth, our sworn ally is at war. It should be quick. I gotta go help fight. I'll be back"

Her eyes filled with pain as she stood up, and walked over to him. She wrapped her arms around his chest as she fought to contain her tears. "You'll..." Her voice came out hoarse and soft. She shook her head as she hugged him tighter. "You'll come back... right...?"

She held her breath and closed her eyes as he left her room. As he left, a tear escaped from her eye. "...Damn it..." She whispered, "Damn it all to hell..."

Marcus kissed her forehead "I'll be fine. stop crying. I'm Death himself, remember? This war is with a small Empire and Sean, Ginkiba and Nero are coming with me. We well all be fine! We are dealing with a bunch of pansies."

Marcus held her close. "I wish I could stay. This war well be short. I promise. And When it is finished I shall come back to you a better man. May even a sexier one."
He added a little joke to make he smile.
That is the one thing he wanted to see befor he left
