With his legs over the edge of the bed now, Caesar felt the carpet underneath his feet and watched as he kicked back and forth in a scissor motion. "Hey Adler...why do you hate Decius so much?"

"Make no mistake Adler, I am not trying to hurt you like you assumed before, you just have the bad habit of walking away when you refuse to talk. I risked my life for this reason, I at least deserve to know the reason you almost got a saw buried into your chest." The shadows did not grip tightly, nor did they appear hostile. They're only goal was to restrain to keep Adler from walking away without giving an answer. "Why are we after him Adler? What was so damn important?"

I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight." ______________________________________________________________________ Caesar gave the man a pained look as if he had somehow been betrayed before the shadows released Fields and Caesar got up from the bed and stormed out of the room. "Fine! If you won't tell me the truth then I am going out to the Karaoke Bar, don't wait up!" Caesar had not forgotten his theory about their fight being over a woman and the thought that Adler still wanted to kill Decius only hurt the demon more. Why would he still be after the man even when he was with Caesar? Was it because he still wanted the woman or whatever back and Caesar was just a temporary form of entertainment for him? How could he not doubt the man when he kept so many secrets from him?

Fields staggered when he was released, and he managed to balance his stance by the time Caesar began to storm off. "Caesar!" he yelled and tried to chase after him, but by the time he reached the doorway the demon was gone. The doctor clenched his jaw and lightly his his door frame while cursing under his breath. What was that reaction about? Did Caesar already know all about his past and just wanted to hear it from him? Dr. Fields sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. How was he going to fix it this time?

I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight." ______________________________________________________________________ Caesar followed the doctor in the home, his eyes fighting the urge to close for him to rest. As time passed, the sting in his gut became stronger, his body starting to feel the pain to its fullest. The after-effects of the drugs were making him feel heavy and very weak. "I think I learned my lesson on accepting drinks from a stranger...never again." Pulling away from the man, Caesar let his body fall onto the soft cushions of the couch. He groans as he clutches his stomach with one arm while throwing the other over his eyes. "That a*****e has one hell of a kick...well, had if Decius killed him with that hit....he definitely did not go easy on him." Pulling his arm away from his eyes, Caesar turned to Fields, concern in his eyes. "He's really serious about getting us Adler. He wants to pick me apart and you...well I would imagine he plans to end you, whether it is mentally or physically I don't know."

"Ein think for vunce ein am grateful Decius went after you." Fields chuckled dryly as he sat down on the chair next to the couch. His hands nervously rubbed sweat off onto his knees while his eyes, strained from a sleepless night, focused on the demon. "If it vasn't for him, that stranger might have gotten you before ein could find you." He didn't seem too bothered by Caesar's theory of what Decius wanted to do with them. "Bah. Ein vould imagine that he is interested in you because you are not human. He has und obsession vith the paranormal. As for me, vell... ve have history." he nodded distantly. His heart was beating wildly in his chest. This talk about him and Decius only made him want to tell Caesar the truth now, but damn was he nervous. "Do you need anyzing?" he asked, hoping to give himself time with small tasks. "Peaches? Vater? Vould medicine vork for you?"

Right now, he had his fill of peach flavored drinks, water would make him feel worse and medicine was still running through his veins already. If he wanted anything right now, it was to just rest. Sighing softly, Caesar relaxed against the cushions of the couch before his violet eyes returned to Adler and he shook his head. "I am fine, I just want to relax for a little while. But I would feel so much better if you would lie down with me? I feel like I just want to be near you right now after what had happened." Looking away with the same pink cheeks, the demon shrugged. "But you don't have to if you don't want to..."

Softly, he laughed to himself before sitting up and moving so that the back of his head was resting on Adler's lap. "I will never get tired of how awkward you get when there are moments like this. You are insatiable and confident in bed but are the complete opposite with the romantics. I find it rather cute." Reaching up, Caesar poked lightly at Adler's cheek with a smile. "If it'll help, I just want to forget all about the fight we had and my encounter with Decius, okay? We're doing too well to fight now and I'll be damned...again, if I let Decius effect our lives constantly."

He would have been fine if the man had not told him, the demon already had a pretty good idea of what it was about. "Its about a woman right? He took someone important to you?" As much as he hated to admit it, it would make more sense other than Fields randomly attacking Decius just because. If he had taken someone important, then it would definitely be a reason to hunt him down. "Wait...Decius has a son doesn't he? If he has a son, does that mean that he...is the mother..." Shaking his head, Caesar turned to Adler and made a waving motion with his hand. He would only hurt his brain if he thought about it too much. "Never mind, go ahead.
