The Pansear watched as the Mudkip's barrier fizzled out and dissolved. Perfect! This was the best time to attack! He jumped forward aiming to try once again to hit with a Low Kick!
The kick square on Meren's head. She reeled back a bit from the attack. She shook her head and was about to attack again when...
"Alright, Meren! That's enough!"Tao exclaimed with a shaky breath and pulled an empty pokeball from his sweater. He fumbled about and pushed the button on it and threw it. Hopefully his hand hadn't been too shaky that the ball would go off course. He almost lost his balance after the throw. If he survived this mission, he swore he would try and get into better shape. And hopefully not be dropped from heights either, while he was at it.

She hands a good amount of teamwork to Tao, as she is very obedient, but she never stands up for herself. Her introversion might have been caused by some sort of abuse prior to meeting Tao. It was a slow trip, just like it had been the first time, and Hiro was not going to complain. He had been defeated last time, but he swore to himself that this time would be vastly different. He would not be going home the loser, but instead with picture in hand.
Thus, he watched for the shore as their boat got closer and closer to the shores.

[Meren gained 14 EXP! 49/75 EXP! ] Despite Tao's shaky throw, the ball managed to hit the Pansear on his shoulder. Sucked in by the red light, the pokemon let loose an angry shriek. The pokeball landed on the ground rocking back and forth frantically. Finally, the ball stopped moving and the center of the pokeball went from red to white. It would seem they had caught their first pokemon on the island! That being said, they were free to move forward!
It seemed that a swamp lay in his path. Peyton picked up his pace, hopefully to get through his as quickly as his feet would take him. He was just some pedestrian trying to just get through, take a picture, and leave. Nothing less, nothing more. "Let's hope there isn't anything trying to kill me." he scoffed silently as he progressed. It would be ironic if he met his end on the Island of Beginnings- though when he returned it would be the actual start of his journey. A rebirth or whatever.

Nothing. Awesome. Peyton hoped it would stay that way until later. He would worry about catching something after taking the picture if he could afford to. For now all he wanted to focus on was making progress to the inner part of the island. He was tempted to send Tekken out, but he couldn't trust him not to brawl with every wild Pokemon he laid his eyes on. At least for now, hopefully he'd learn to chill out after a mission or three. Putting his hand in his pocket, he felt for one of the empty Pokeballs that he now had. What kind of wildlife could be found here? Honestly, he hoped to find some kind of ghost type.

Tao proceeded his way to the red-and-white sphere and picked it up. "Well, what to call you...." He paused and rubbed his neck looking about in thought. There was a silent pause until a glint appeared in Tao's eye.
"I'll call thee, Mawashi!"
">What kind of name is that!?<" the mudkip certainly had something to say about its master's naming schemes. Though, they were was decidely better names than "Sarah" or "John" in her opinion. Still there was a new team member in the group. She wasn't sure how she felt about that.
Tao glanced at Mudkip, "Well, I suppose we should get moving and find that stone..." The group began to head up the mountain. In Tao's mind this was probably a bad idea, but that seemed to be the only way to go at the moment...
(Alright, I went ahead and put the template in my list of pokemon...Small question, the exp to level up for level 2 is 75? Just want to make sure before I put it in is all. Unless I jumped the gun....)

((Technically when going to and forth the Island, you are to wait for one of the mods at the Pokemon Center to provide you with a ride to the Island of New Beginnings. Upon trying to leave this place, you'll have to wait until we provide you with a ride and then you can leave.))
[Hiro arrived at Foggy Forest!

Foggy Forest
As you step off the boat, the sunshine and bright nature of the ocean ends as you enter the woods. Instead shadows loom overhead casting all sorts of forms and shapes throughout the way. Staying on the brown grassy trail would be wise. Odd as it may be, a thick fog begins to creep up rising from the ground to make sight almost impossible. You must trudge along hoping not to get lost. Silence marks the forest except for the sounds as the leaves and sticks crackle beneath your feet. Beware what could be lurking and what illusions this place may hold. The forest holds secrets and you could be its next victim.
Reaching the next step in her journey, Jin-Hua would come across a scene to bizarre to be true. It was one she'd spotted twice before this day, and with each new encounter it grew more and more unbelievable. Multicolored lights shot into the are as Baltoy fired off Signalbeams, others of their number creating an odd sort of music while yet more Baltoy spun across the ground in what could only be described as breakdancing. Worse yet, somewhere along the line they'd acquired glowsticks....and one could only wonder why the floor was covered in mist. Somehow what had begun as one Baltoy getting his boogie on had turned into a full blown rave.

(Oh sorry about that redface)
Stepping out of the boat, Hiro would see a different area this time. Not the heat of the volcano, but the coolness of the forest ...and the shading of mist. He wasn't sure what to make of it, but one thing was for sure ...this was going to be a different experience with different Pokemon to capture and make his own.
There was no complaints there.
"Well let's see if this place will be a challenge for the world's greatest trainer."
He would tell himself even as he walks through the trees.
Hiro would continue to walk slowly ....as the grasses parted at his feet. His hands lock behind his head as he watches the grasses for anything, and he tried to figure out if this place would be a paradise for Blight or a nightmare.
He already figured the moisture in the air wouldn't be a favorite for Despair.
"So, I guess unless the pokemon is a flying type, because, I doubt a fire type would make it's home here ....Blight is probably the best sort of pokemon for the job."
He told himself as he continued his walk through the fog.

In the Garden of Monsters
As Alice began reaching the edge of the meadow, she'd abruptly hear a high pitched whinny, accompanied closely by the crashing of thunder. Though really wasn't everything in this place? Off in the distance the young trainer would be able to see yet another Blitzle racing towards her....before tripping rather suddenly and rolling face first down a hill. At the bottom however it would spring to it's hooves, just like a certain other member of it's species...
">Hoooooooooooney~!<" The Electric-type suddenly shouted in a high pitched, feminine voice as she bounced closer ">Sweety! What have I said about going to the far end of the meadow? And who are these....Oh! Oooooooh!<" Electricity sparked around her body as her eyes suddenly began to twinkle ">You found a trainer! Oh....*sniff*....my little baby girl is all grown up...*sniff*....<" The Blitzle was practically on the verge of tears for a moment before perking back up ">You be a good girl now! Make sure to listen to your trainer! Don't wander off down any dark alleys or take Rare Candy from pokes you don't know! And be sure to dress warm when it snows! You know how your nose runs! And...OH!<" The Blittzle abruptly ran off, eyes wide. When she returned it would be with a mouth filled with grass which she promptly attempted to pass to Maddie ">And here's a lunch dear. Be sure to eat it properly!<"
Dropping the grass on the ground, amidst all the other grass already there, the Blitzle would run off before turning around ">By sweety! Mommy looooooves yoooooou!<"

((Is all good. And noooooow...))
>So... hungry...<
All Hiro would be able to hear was a loud, hissing whisper... but if he was curious, he wouldn't be left wondering for long. Out of a tree fell a Cherubi, which landed hard on Hiro's back. It scrambled forward onto Hiro's shoulder, so close that the boy would be able to see it's unusually sharp canine teeth. He smiled right at the boy. >So... hungry... must have... BLOOD!< The Cherubi would lurch forward, gumming at Hiro's shoulder and attempting to get a bite on his neck... presumably to drink his tasty blood!
The natural reaction when something jumps on you is the shriek and slap it off. The natural reaction that Hiro had was to shriek and slap at the area where the thing had latched on.
The embarrassment wasn't even a thought as Hiro hopped around batting at his neck trying to dislodge whatever the hell had drop on him. He had been looking at the grass previously ...now he wished he had been looking more so at the trees than at his feet.
"GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!"
His voice echoed in the fog.

Alice tensed as the Blitzle rushed towards them-- was she just a literal magnet for them? Lankford HAD mentioned she still had some metal alloys in her body... maybe Maddie's electric attack back near the beginning of the meadow had changed her body's magnetic alignment? Or something?... she was overthinking it. She reached over, wrapping her hand around Vorpal's hilt and waiting--
>MAMA!< Maddie bounded past Alice, headless of the potential danger. Of course, she knew what the situation was... for once. >Look what I found, Mama! Two pretty metal things!< She listened happily as the older Blitzle worried over her, nodding agreeably at everything she'd said. >I will, I promise,< she tired to assert, but she'd come by her noisiness and enthusiasm naturally-- besides, there was nothing wrong with letting a parent be pleased, especially given she was leaving. She'd happily accept the grass, and gave a cheerful whinny. >Love you too, Mama!< she called, swallowing the grass in one bite.
"... well okay then?" None of that had made any sense to Alice, but at least nothing terrible had happened. (Vorpal, meanwhile, had wrapped his banner around his blade... despite being dead, he was still weak to adorable things, and somehow, he was blushing. DAMN YOU LANKFORD MADDIE.) The robot girl reached out and patted Maddie on her haunches. "I'm glad you got to see your... friend? Still. Ready to go?" When the Blitzle whinnied cheerfully in what she assumed was assent, Alice continued forward, curious to see what would come next.
