Actually, on Librarium online it was said with assurity, though this is still not dogmatic, that Rangers would be upgradable to pathfinders.

Andreis Yes, it would be a move against their own fiction for GW to make a wraithlord have an armor value, they simply are not vehicles. This would be outrageous, but I heard that Wraithgaurd are getting Toughness 6. surprised I doubt that rumor the msot out of all the ones I have heard, but that would like.. WOW. They would be a must have for me. Talk about resilient. I'm hoping specifically that you can make an HQ be a Wraithguard, since it fits with a wonderful conversiion I've been working on...

That would be kinda odd. Wraithguard arejust warriors brought to life, equivilant to zombies. It would make more sense to have a wraithlord as an hq, a very large hq, that can attract an obscene amount of firepower.

They still think like living beings, it's just that they have a different perception, seeing the warp instead of physical world. It is possible for a farseer to enter a wraithguard body and interact somehwat normally. If you say the wraithguard are zombies, than so are the eldar titans and the Inifinity Circuits.

Wraithguards are controlled by Soulstones, which carry the soul of an Eldar warrior, including Farseers. I can easily see why a Farseer would be brought back, and why a Wraithguard size suit would be more practical than a Wraithlord.

Council meeting in the court.
"Where is Aekalem?"
-BLAM! Crashes through doorway. Wraithvoice echoing through the hall from the massive construct-
"I got held up in customs!"
-council-
eek
Neither one would really make MUCH sense. Apparently spirit stones do eventually die as the soul and it's psychic energy slowly drain away, so they serve as a power source and conscious... I wish I could remember where I heard that... Wraith Guard are ACTUALLY quite large. I am not positive, but they stand at height or taller than space marines.
And no... the forgeworld Revnant titan has an eldar pilot. Unless they are wrong... But eh, I will trust them for the moment. GW and FW has been wrong in the past. ((Effing Chaos terminator lord with effing Kai gun impossibility))

Spirit Stones are used as temperorary vessels for times of combat or until the soul can be added to the Infinity Circuit. A soul is never permanently added into one. They do not fade over time, the eldar would be to paranoid to use them if they were. Spirit stones are pure physic energy made during the fall and the creation of the Ocular Terribus. Eldar Titans are powered by lesser versions of the infinity circuit.

Pardon me if I step in at the wrong moment, its been a long while since I've been to the guild.
I've been reading the last page of discussion on the infinity circuit, wraith technology and such and am very curious to learn where all this information is gathered from. Very little of it is said in the codex and even less in the rulebook.
Would this come perhaps from the novels? I have read very few as of yet.

An excelent sorce of such basic Eldar fluff is the second ed. codex. Plus you can oggle the old wraithlord rules.

Hmm, thank you for the information. Although I highly doubt I'll manage to find a copy of the 2nd edition codex, I'll have to ask around and see what the guys at my club have in storage.
In the mean time, I'm curious to know, what are the general opinions of the new eldar coming out?
Personally I think its 50/50, some of its sounds and looks good but other things really bother me. Examples of this being the new look for the warwalkers and wraithlord (damn they look mean) and the new aspect warriors (2nd edition again... wtf Mr Goodwin?!?!).
From what I've seen, I may invest in some new walkers to add to my collection and perhaps the new direavengers simply to convert the models into something (I like the options and exarch armour). However all the other aspects I refuse to touch. Although the detailing on the scorpians looks nice the stances are just so under expectations and as for the rest.. second edition gone way out of line. Especially the massive head Reapers and the very masculine suggestive Exarch missile launcher....
When it comes to applying the new codex to my current Eldar army I see these changes taking place: Buying the codex and perhaps adding the autarch to my list. Aside from that, my 3rd edition Banshee's and Reapers are staying with me, my second edition scorpians (the real 2nd ed not the new copies) will stay in reserve and my good old Rangers will not be replaced, they've been with me too long to replace.
I'm a typical Eldar, stubborn and full of himself. ^_^

Speaking of Dark Reapers: Is it me, or do the new models have a slightly 'comical' look to the helmets? I'm thinking of creating a Biel-Tan Swordwind Eldar list, which will have several Dark Reaper units.

Personally, I like the throw back to the 2nd edition models. Those were my favorites. And I love the new wraithlord like a brother that doesn't piss me off.
