Jessica watched Ace throw his 'witty' comments at Carter, not even finding it very amusing. Did Ace really have such a hard time making friends? It seemed a bit odd considering he had seemed like a charming boy. Oh well, maybe she had been wrong. However, even though his comment didn't make him laugh Katherine's thoughts sure did. In a fit of laughter Jessica looked over at her friend, not even really thinking as she spoke aloud in reply.
"How about no?" She said, still laughing. "You're just too obsessed with finding me a lover."

"Why I ought to. . . ." Ace mumbled, while raising his fist as a threat. Carter was a b*****d, and everyone but Jessica and Katherine knew it. And that was the first time Ace actually heard him speak to him. But no matter. Carter had absolutely no idea why he had made that comment in the first place. He thought that he was just trying to make himself look good in front of the girls. But Ace was really just trying to make Carter look bad. Truthfully (even if Ace doesn't admit it), Carter was right about Ace trying to make himself look good in front of the Jessica and Katherine.

"B-b-but I want you to be happy!" Katherine told her while flinging her arms around her as if to hug the life out of her.
Carter just gave him a bored look and turned to Jessica and Katherine who seemed to be trying to kill her with love, again."Katherine. Don't kill Jessica." He told her shaking his finger at her.
Katherine loosened up but didn't let go entirley. "So Jessica, is there anything to do around this school? You've been here longer then me and it seems a lot has happened already." Carter asked her while stretching his arms out a bit, ignoring the look Ace was giving him.

Ace felt even more insulted as he was ignored by Carter. Why was Carter like that? Always mysterious and always annoying. All he cared about was Katherine and Jessica. And now with Carter bored with Ace, fury haunted him. He growled at Carter with dismair, and flipped him off with his middle finger.

"Ouch. That hurt." Carter said in monotone as he pretended to take the insult and put it in his pocket. He had learned that from Katherine a long time ago, so he decided to be foolish and use it too. He really wasn't bothered by the fact that this guy didn't like him. The feeling was mutual, or at least normal. Carter never could recall making friends, other then the two girls that were in the room with him.

"Gosh you two! Get along!" Jessica announced, crossing her arms and glaring back and forth between the two, the blue orbs focusing on Carter after a while. "You should know better than to play little kid games, Carter." She told him pointedly, knowing Carter much better than Ace.
"If you two don't get along I'll just run off to be emo and you can just stay with Katherine."

Carter gave her and apologetic look and bowed his head, a little to over dramatically. "I'm so sorry Jessica. It won't ever happen again." He told her, crossing his fingers in front of him in that cute boyish way of his.
"Hey, if you're going off to be emo i'm coming with you! You know you can't leave me alone for more then like 10 minutes." Katherine told her, playfully sticking out her tounge.

Jessica, copying Katherine's action, stuck her tongue out at Carter as he prantically mocked her, before looking over to Katherine. "You so silly." She accused with a grin, patting the girl on her head. "I left you for a lot longer than 10 minutes when I was stuck with Ace earlier."

"And she was trying to push threw a pull door just to get to you. How sweet." Carter mocked flicking Katherine in the head.
Katherine backed up a couple of feet while rubbing her head. "What's with you people and my head? And you leave me alone Carter. At least Jessie loves me." She glared crossing her arms in front of her.
Carter rolled his eyes at her and shook his head. "You're so simple minded sometimes Kat."
"You're stupid all the time Cartine" She retorted, still glaring.

"Aw, Carter, I don't think you're stupid!" Jessica said with a smile, reaching out and hugging the boy who seemed to be far more snippy than usual. It was most likely due to Ace's presence. Carter was never a fan of Jessica being surrounded by other boys.

"Oh thanks. That means a lot coming from you." Carter replied while only slightly hugging Jessica, trying to hide the slight blush that grazed his cheeks.
"Yes she does, she just doesn't want to hurt your feelings." Katherine told him with a smirk.
"Be quiet you." Carter told her giving her the 'leave me alone' look.

Ace saw Carter's cheeks blush. "Well I think Carter's a hell of a lot stupider than Katherine . . . . " Ace mumbled while crossing his arms.

Carter was about to say something to Ace but was cut off by Katherine's glare. She looked so mad it even frightened him a bit.
She walked over to Ace and slapped him in the face. "You know what i'm really sick of? People calling me stupid. All my life that's all i've been. Stupid. My parents called me stupid, kids at school called me stupid and now people I hardly even know call me stupid." She spat clenching her fists. The insult had been towards Carter but Ace had been insulting her at the same time.
"I don't need this s**t. No one is getting along anyway." She muttered grabbing her bag. "I'll see you around Jessica." Katherine added walking out the door into the lounge without another word.
"Good job Ace. You made one of the happiest people I know pissed." Carter mumbled running his fingers threw his firery red hair.
