"I suppose so," Alti replied using his usual three-word-response that could be seen as agreement or just as... statement - which pretty much meant nothing - which was why he used it. "Umm... just, what is the prince here like?" he asked, frowning slightly. It wasn't as if he was worried he wouldn't be liked, it was more like he didn't want to meet someone extrenious or overly annoying...

Mie-tanuki Rosaline smiled and nodded. "That sounds... nice," he murmured. It would be good to get outside into the sun... Where he lived was not the brightest part of the Death Kingdom and it was much safer to stay inside than out. But he did not allow his mind to rest on those thoughts just in case any of them showed on his face. It would, innevitably, cause the other to ask him what was wrong, and it was not good to draw attention to oneself. On the other hand, he simply didn't wish the other to ask about him - it was always hard to lie to people, especially when they seemed kind and this one was certainly nice enough. "I've never really been around the palace any more than when I bring my dresses up, so it would be nice to see outside," he explained with a soft, slightly embarrassed smile. Muertian nodded and chuckled, "It's settled, then." His hand gently placed pressure behind Rosaline's elbow and he gestured to the open archway through which he had originally entered the hall.
"Shall we?" he asked, "I'll give you a tour."

".. 'Stella'? Am I your wife or a street performer?" he asked in a sarcastically dull voice. The name wasn't common among the Ice Kingdom, or at least not within the court. He noted he had disagreed with almost everything Sayael had suggested. Either he and the Prince of Darkness had very different outlooks on things or he was just being too damn spiteful over having to dress up. "Stella doesn't even sound elegant."

"Fine, then. You can be Ellenor. I'm sure that would be a much more suitable name for a prude," Sayael retorted, sticking his tongue back out at the other. They had been riding a while and were now out of sight of the palace. There were woods comming up on one side and they could just barely make out the outline of the city on a rise of hill. "Here, we need to fix our disguises before we come to the city.... The woods should be good," he said, pointing over at the trees.
**
Rosaline smiled and nodded. "That would be nice. I hope I'm not taking up too much of your time." They reached the outside quickly. Rosaline's feet stepped softly onto the grass and as sunlight met his skin, his smile immidiately brightened. He stepped fully into the light, his face tilting upward towards the sky. He wanted to soak up all the sun he could while he was here.... The scent of roses had followed him, but it was less strong here, out in the open with more space to fill.

"Well I never," Dax scoffed in an attempted womanly voice with the 'prude' comment. With mention of the upcoming city, he finally looked up into the direction they were heading. He hadn't even realized they had gotten so far already. He turned an eye back over his shoulder to see if he could catch a final glimpse of his home, but they were beyond sight of it. "You don't have the dress handy at the moment.. Guess that means I don't have to wear anything of the sort yet!" Maybe he was just trying to get out of dressing up so soon.

"Actually, I do. It's in one of my bags... But I'm going to suppose that you're going to be a pain and veto it, so I might have to summon one. Although that would be a bit of a waste. Anyway, you need to get dressed before we come too close to the city," he murmured. "The people do occasionally go on hunts through the forest, so the farther away, the better. I'll change at the same time as well."

Muertian glanced over the seemingly refreshed dressmaker in mild interest. Perhaps 'she' just liked sunlight a whole lot... had she been smiling like that before?
"So.. this is the Main Courtyard," he informed lightly, looking around to indicate the full area. "We actually have 13 gardens and courtyards. The North, South, East, West, and Main courtyards probably being of the largest and most public. Then there's The Glen-- that's the girls' courtyard. Primarily wildflowers and cherub-themed fountains," Muertian let out a laugh, "It's a bit too girly for me, but I'll show it to you. You may like it. Anyway, as long as the girls aren't there, we can walk through. They usually deny me entry because I'm a boy."
He gestured for Rosaline to begin walking with him through the Main Courtyard. A large, beautifully carved, stone fountain was at the center of it and 4 large diamond-shaped grassy areas extended from the fountain in the 4 directions of a compass like arrows.
"The Water Garden is my favorite garden. It extends from down by my brother's quarters up to mine. It's very peaceful and a good place to read. And it's quite large as well-- so I don't really have to run into my brother very often," the prince spoke of his brother with a subtle distaste, "Then there's 6 small, intimate courtyards and gardens as well. From biggest to smallest and most private... The Butterfly Garden, The Nymph 'Nook', The Rose Garden, The Queen's Courtyard, Sybill's Secret, and-- " Muertian's uninterrupted information session suddenly cut off and the boy froze.

Veto it? He'd only veto it if he disliked the thing.. which was a definite possibility coming from Dax. "You know, it's not usually considered normal for boys to carry dresses around with them," he said, veering his horse closer to the woods. "Unless, of course, they have some sort of secret 'side job' they're not telling anyone about. You're not hiding anything of that sort from me, are you?" The Ice Prince gave Sayael a mockingly suspicious look.

Rosaline listened intently, again feeling a stab of guilt as the other mentioned not being allowed into the woman's garden, but he still couldn't tell the other. If he did, it might lead him into relenquishing more information than he could really afford for. He frowned slightly - from his brother's quarters to his own and large enough for them not to meet? Then he must be someone important... but the possibility of Muertian being a prince never occured to Rosaline - perhaps in part because he didn't wish to know it. He looked up as the other stopped abruptly, wondering what had made him stop.

"Of course I don't. I telleported my bags here last night, after I knew you would be coming. All it took was a little extra effort to get the dress in too," he said with a shrug. "Anyway, I'd never pass as a girl without a lot of help from magic." He grinned, running a long-fingered hand through brown hair that was just a little longer than was normal, the charm tinkling slightly as it was moved. "I'm not exactly the prettiest guy out there."

"Luckily for you.. That means you won't have other guys asking you to put on a dress and be your wife." Trees began to come into view on the opposite side, almost engulfing them completely in the forest's concealing shade. "I'm beginning to think you want to see me in frilly lady clothes," Dax said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, great! I'm travelling with a perverted prince."

"I do, but that's not my motive. It's just a bonus," he said, grinning widely. "Come on. Okay, look, if this ever happens again, next time I'll be the woman; I promise. Is that good enough for you?" He looked around - they should change soon, as they were getting closer. "And I'm not a pervert," he said, pouting. "How could you think that of me?"

"Fine I take that part back.. For now," Dax said, rolling his eyes at the pout from the other boy. He couldn't stop the grin that curled his lip, however. "You can never put too much trust in a guy who owns a dress." Bringing his horse to a halt, the blonde dismounted and placed Jacqueline's reigns over a small stud coming out of a nearby tree. He wasn't worried she would actually run off. "And yes.. You being the woman next time would be enough for me." He couldn't help but wonder if there ever would be a 'next time'. If there was, it'd be worth it to see Sayael in his place, though. "Alright.. Give me the dress."

Sayael dismounted easily and searched around in one of the saddle bags until he found what he was looking for - a long, curving sort of dress made out of a pale blue material. "And it's not mine, by the way. It's my half-sister's. She won't miss it, anyway, it's not made of her favorite fabric, so she won't care about it." He handed the dress over to Dax, noting that the color was suited to the other's complection.

Taking the offered dress from Sayael, Dax held it out in front of himself for inspection. It was a beautifully made piece of clothing to be sure, but the only problem was trying to imagine himself in it. "Well, I'm glad you don't mind stealing your sister's things for the sake of me looking the part," he commented, laying it neatly across Jacqueline's saddle while he stripped off his shirt. In turn, he stuffed it in one of his own saddlebags. "What will you be wearing?"
