((lol Yuriko))

Cairo's left eyebrow twitched upward at their greeting towards him, not that it really mattered. By appearance Cairo looked human, hell he was human at one point... but the dark aura about him easily distinguished him from that category. His left eye (the only one visible, as the other was covered by a tilted black bandanna) surveyed the new figure carefully. The man amongst Yuriko and Quint (Rohaun), didn't look much more than an observer, but... beyond the vision of human eyes, Cairo could see the wear and tear his hands had been through. He guessed the man was probably someone to be feared amongst humans.

Cairo smirk suddenly vanished and returned to its normal bored, unamused expression. He had been asked one question he could never answer... seeing as he didn't know his own name. But he didn't want the human to think him as too rude of a being.

"Hmm... I don't have a name. But amongst your religious followings, I guess you would give me the title of, Devil. Or maybe the Grim Reaper... not that it really matters. Neither really depict an accurate visual aid as to who you see before you. Aside from myself, which among you will fight? I grow bored of this... conversing," he said plainly as he jumped once more and landed softly upon Yuriko's head. Even though he was standing on her head, he was virtually weightless as he looked down upon her from her melon. "So... you will be my opponent, correct?" he asked in the usual tone.

Finally.

Laughing to himself, Quint first smoothed his hair forward, a couple errant strands reaching high from his skull. Next that hand pointed at this arrogant person, I think I just caught my second wind. As his fingers curled into a fist, some knuckles popping as he did so, You call yourself a killer, but I have this thing where it's a huge hassle believing something without proof.

Mr. Rohaun looked from Yuriko, to Quint, Cairo, and then all three as a whole. "Ahem, I see my assistance is no longer needed in this area. I will just retreat back to my seat in the stands now, gentlemen, and lady," he told them before giving a courteous bow. And just like he said, Vincent began to walk back to his seat casually.

((lady and gentlemen... not that it matters. xD))

Cairo's left eye left Rohaun as he left and went back to Quint. The sly smirk he sported earlier slowly returned at Quint's courageous words.

"Fine... it's your funeral. Her worth in the world is has higher meaning then yours anyways," he said as he hopped from Yuriko's head to a position in front of Quint without the slightest bit of impact to Yuriko's melon.

Cairo bent his head left, then right to crack his neck then grasped his right wrist with his left hand. His left eye looked tensely towards Quint.

"Your life is now forfeit... I pray for your sake there is a such thing as god. For without one... you're not leaving here alive," he finished, waiting for his opponent to begin.

Quite the cocky one this Cairo was, spouting on about how Quint was a dead man walking, and some other jive mess, but Quint had stopped really listening a while ago, an idle finger wiping the inside of his pinna, or the visible part of the ear. This guy was sorta weird though. He seemed human from a glance, but one long look into that man's eyes would tell a different tale. Quint had no quarrel fighting this Cairo, but his instinct told him to be a bit more cautious than normal.

That wouldn't be a problem.

Catching the sight of the soon to come combat, Quint's bats released themselves from their perch, uncharacteristically moving towards their commander slowly, latching onto his arms for added power, legs to keep steady and swift, and chest for a blow benumbing base. Like each fight, there was a smooth inhale and exhale from Quint, happening around the time he sized his opponent up. It had been a while since Quint started a fight from close quarters, but he'd adjust, or be hit first, whichever.

He joked around for a moment anyway. Who knew, it could be..his last! Smirking, Quint put his arms up as if he didn't know, shrugging, I don't know, if I had a quarter for each time someone said, 'Tonight you die' or something similar, I'd have what...two bucks?

But, At that moment, his arms, smile, and demeanor dropped, Quint in the position he started the fight with Yuriko in: Wide base with his feet, crouched slightly, arms out equally to his legs. If I had that same quarter for each person that actually followed through with that threat, I'd be a broke b*****d.

Your move.

"Ugh. A measurement is just a measurement unless you're doing it with your legs..." Darocche's quiet voice echoed in the tunnel that he was trekking through. Beside him, his always-present robotic helper had its main lens exposed and a flashlight illuminating the straight and narrow path. Eventually, Darocche's eyes met a view that contrasted the dark, plain tunnel walls.

Heyyy! A light at the end-

Do NOT finish that little cliché. Just keep moving. I can feel some mighty powers up ahead. And since this is an arena, if any of them are fighting, it'll be worth watching.

Yeah yeah, okay. Just chill. Geez.

Darocche poked his head out of the tunnel's end, and peered around the vicinity. Yup, there was the ring in the center. Around the sides, there were many seats - Colosseum-style. All in all, there were one, two, three, four people. One of them sat in the stands, while three of them were in the ring. Of those three, two of the more powerful looking figures were getting ready for what promised to be quite a brawl. The other one...appeared to be that curvaceous girl that packed quite a hug.

Regular sensing won't be enough for this. I must see everything.

Sighing, Darocche closed his left eye for a moment. When he opened it, dark yellow replaced his usual black iris. Pulling his hat down some to hide this as best as he could, he made his way over to the person by the stands and took a seat beside him. His robot produced a conical base and rested by him.

"I read that this ring has a protection spell over it. By the looks of those two, I'm thinking that those'll be useful to have, hm?" He asked the stranger. His normal eye glanced over to him, while the yellow one stayed focused on the center.

Vincent looked at the newcomer and nodded. "But ofcourse, good sir. Without one, most of the spectator's would be wiped out, if I do say so myself," responded the well dressed man.

He leaned back in his seat more and watched the two challengers ready themselves. "This should be a could match. Quint is an excellent fighter. While this new one has something spectacular to offer for a show. I can feel it," he said mostly to himself.

"Erm. Where are my manners? I am Mr. Vincent Rohaun, new resident of this island. And what may I call you by, chap?" said the man as he held out his hand to Darocche.

yuriko snapped back into reality as soon as cairo stepped off her head. it had been as if a gray mist had fallen over her eyes and her muscles had gone numb. but now she was back.

noticeing that Quint and cairo wer squareing up, yuriko backed away
"seems this is your fight Quint" she said, slideing between the ropes " but i wont hesitate to jump in if you need help" she added with a small smile, before hopping out of the ring and makeing her way over to sit next to Vincent

" kick this guys a**" she said from the seat to quint giving him a wink

From each angle any camera or portable device could film Quint's reaction, all would report no activity, except for the one Cairo had. Except for any type of smile, Quint tightened his stare. It wasn't pride or overconfidence, but Yuriko had offered not only her abilities, but what could be her life by Cairo's definition should he fall, and even if the assistant wouldn't be needed, it gave Quint yet another reason not to lose.

((sorry for not replying any sooner... i've been having some fun w/ friends lately and my B-day wasn't that bad yesterday. ^w^))

Cairo's left eye turned over toward Yuriko who was offering her services should Quint fall. Cairo wasn't one to kill beings that weren't meant to die so soon... but he had eliminated few before their time was to come. His bored eye went back to Quint, he surveyed his stance... looking for the same weakness that helped Yuriko prevail.

"..."

His eye suddenly opened wide, blood-shot and he suddenly vanished (or he appeared to vanish) and reappeared face-to-face only an inch apart from Quint. And from below, Cairo's right hand thrust forward into Quint's abdomen to push him backward.

"Unless you have haste... your life will wither and waste, weird human. I should hope your pride is still of your kind... or will you need rescue from that burly female?" He uttered plainly, but genuinely.

Tsuin soon joined Vincent and Darocche after investigating a familiar aura that eminated from within the arena. He had heard their conversation about the protection spells set all around the arena.

"They placed several protection spells here for good reason. Last time I was spectating, my brother caused an explosion so large that it almost damaged the metal platin beneath the arena. I fear that Aonice was going to charge us for the repairs." With that, the blood demon looked upon the inhabitants of the arena. Yuriko, who he had seen at the Cafe. Quint, who he was already familiar with. And the other...a stranger with a seemingly familiar aura about him.

Who the hell....?

Cairo's eye strayed over towards the new entry, Tsuin, after his hand made contact. The man held a familiar aura, yet Cairo knew not who he was. Only one thing was for certain, after the match with Quint was concluded... he had definitely found someone truly worthy for his leisure time.

Vincent looked over at Tsuin and nodded at his presense. "Ah, we have a learned man. Well take yourself a seat, my good sir. This show is going to be suberb. Someone of Quint's caliber is surely a challenge for any foe. The newcomer should have his hands full once this lad gets his head in the game, and all the sort," spoke the well dressed man in a studious tone.

Mr. Rohaun sat up in his seat to help his view. He watched Yuriko take a seat next to him, giving her a small smile as a greeting. His attention then quickly went back to the battle that was about to take place.

Haste? Quint asked, forced back into the turnbuckle. Cairo's attack, while just a tap, was very informative, especially so since Quint wasn't hurt by it! This man not only had an 'Extreme Speed' technique, the tell much more than what he'd get from Roan, but a pretty foul aura about him, a stench of effortless death. Gonna poke me to death if I don't keep up? "Might I remind if you become..fractious..you may not be poked, but you'll certainly be dead."

Then at least give me some intel..
Well the moment we found strange was when he--Cairo--dropped in. That feeling was like a force down, and what's weirder is they seemed to flux towards him, in and out.
Roger, don't make a shadow. It wouldn't be hard to sense the sarcasm, if one could hear it.

And don't call Yuriko burly! Quint already had it mapped, mostly. With his right hand going hot from the fire summoned from within, he formed a small fireball, it glowing a soft daffodil, in his palm. When Quint felt enough energy had been stored, he swiftly dropped it from the hand, it kneed into the air above the competitors shortly after. Inside the flame? Methane. But a controlled amount so that when it finally burned, reacting with the oxygen around, the light seeping into each nook and cranny of the floors and stands, it would sustain its brightness for a while to come.

I'd say she likes the sun as much as Bleu. Quint figured if this Cairo could see if someone was more worthy of life, he already knew who they were, right?
