As the bison takes off she watches as the temple starts to grow smaller, the bison taking to the shores and flying about until Taikai or Taizen points out the frozen boat. Eventually she turned around to find Musei..right there. Very lightly she nudges the wrapped items towards him.

"These are for you Musei..I figured you could use them.."

He would find the longer one to be a airbender's staff and the other was a array of clothing. (You choose what they look like I too lazy!) On top of the clothing was his coat that he had offered for her to use, cleaned and carefully patched up.

After she offered the items to him she pulled her knapsack between her legs, bending her legs to wrap lightly about the bulk of her knapsack. With her knees up she placed her elbow on them. Just staring at her arm with a blank look.

Musei grabbed the pack, an odd look of surprise on his face. He shifted to sit cross-legged, setting the pack on the mock table he had made of himself. First was his coat. He smiled, putting it back on, rolling the sleeves back up and buttoning the front closed once more. Again he appeared foreboding and harder to talk to.

The second was an old staff. He grabbed ahold of it and ran his other hand across it's surface. It wasn't smooth, but it wouldn't splinter and had no bark. It looked almost antique, and it was beautiful.

He finally got to the third packet, and smiled. It was another pair of clothes, lighter than what he was used to. He wrapped them again, smiling. He slid a little closer to Niima and tapped her shoulder. Her un-broken one, he could tell. "N-Niima? I...don't know how to thank you." He blushed, continuing. It was odd to thank someone, at least it was for him. "And I hope my coat was of some use to you." He smiled, clutching the staff with both hands in his lap. This...this is the nicest anyone has ever been to me...

A light nod was offered to Musei as he thanked her..or attempted to. He was flustered because she helped him? She hint of a smile crept to her lips and unwrapped her arm from her legs, hugging the youth with a soft embrace.

"Your most welcome Musei. We have to watch out for each other after all..Plus you need the staff for airbending. I noticed you didn't have one so I had to get you one."

Her arm slid away from the quick embrace and it went back to hugging her legs. "Yes, and thank you again for your help Musei. It was very sweet and kind gesture. Your coat kept me warm while I napped."

Taizen was prepared for the lift off of the bison this time, he wasn't on the thing simply because someones life was in danger, and with a firm hold, he felt assured he wouldn't fall over the saddle and into oblivion. Taikai waved Niima's apology for not having been able to make the trip easier away. "The Air Bison is still appreciated Niima. Everything you have done for us is just as appreciated, and we hope that somehow we can benefit you." This was expanding upon the earlier statement, when they had bowed. He nudged Taizen when Niima wasn't looking. A cue for him to say,or do something. Taizen still wasn't sure how to talk to her, so he opted for an alternative that involved more action, and the only talking he'd have to do was asking questions. "Niima, your arm... Can I mend it now...?"

Taizen's features held worry, though not all of it was for Niima's arm. He gestured towards one of the skins of water he carried with him. It was filled to half, and he hadn't time to refill it, while the other flask had held the remnants of wine, of which had been emptied long ago, and since then, had not been refilled. Taizen wasn't sure at the moment of his Healing powers, they swayed with the emotions ofhis and others, combined with the will to heal. Niima at the moment felt defeated. He wasn't helping the matter, but perhaps Musei was enough reason for her. With a smooth gesture, coupled with the feeling of worry, the water in the skin flew out lazily, and landed compactly in a ball on his hand. He offered it to her.

"There." Taikai pointed out a patch of land near the coast. Though it was close to the Ocean, much of it wasfrozen over. There didn't seem to be any Wildlife above the surface. The waterbender's had hidden they're boat in there? The area was almost completely covered in sheet's of snow, and ice. To freeze the boat and hide it... There was a phrase like that, hiding a tree in a forest...?

Musei blinked, and for lack of a better word froze up. He had no idea how to respond to that, and chose merely not to. He just reserved himself to looking down at the staff and the bundle of clothes. He figured he might as well change into them once they landed, just to see how they looked on him.

Under his breath, barely audible, he muttered 'You're welcome', and then turned to face the open air, looking straight down at the ground. It was a long fall, and he didn't want to experience that at any cost. He turned once more, looking back at Takai. "So is this what you do? Traveling the world?" He looked out once more, taking a gander at the frozen lake, continuing to talk to the older gentleman. "Must be beautiful, wonderful, exciting?"
PostPosted: Sun Jun 17, 2007 12:51 pm

She didn't know how to respond to Taikai's words. She just kind of bobbed her head in respond, her eyes focused on the lines of her hand. Benefit her? Well their company was beneficial. Her head slowly started to droop but rose quickly when she heard Taizen. Lightly her head bobs again.

"Yes, Taizen." Simple. Short. To the point. She wasn't going to resist the attempt to heal her anymore. She had said after her talk with Master Dyn, after all. Plus, though she doubted it, they might need her assistance with the boat. She would of moved the arm to him if it wasn't for the fact that it hurt like no tomorrow. Instead she used her good hand to lift her broken arm and rest it on the bend of her knees so that Taizen wouldn't have to get too close to her.

She listened to Musei in his words of excitement. During her travels it was not so much beautiful. She quietly hoped that the youth's views would be different. She hoped his life would be much more pleasant..and she'd make sure it would be somewhat safe.

Her head tilted as the bison suddenly yanked into a half circle and started gliding groundwards toward where Taikai pointed. A graceful landing was made and one of the airbenders informed them that they would stay until they had set sail.

Musei yelled an energetic 'wohoo' as he slid off of the Air Bison's back onto the cold, hard earth below. He stuffed the packet of clothes into his jacket, and set the staff on the ground.

Taking in a deep breath of air, he exhaled just as deeply while taking in the scenery. He took a tentative step on the iced lake, deeming it frozen through enough to slide on. And he did just that. He jumped onto the ice, sliding a few feet farther and grinned. He began a mock-skater motion as he slid back and forth near the shore.

"So where's the ship?" He asked, spinning around in a circle like a young child.

Turning her gaze she watches Musei, almost smiling at the youth's curiosity. If she wasn't mourning she would of found him absolutely adorable. Using her good hand she pointed to the mass that Taikai had spoke of earlier.

"It's frozen over so our dear water bending comrades will have to thaw it out before anything else can be done."

Her hand lowered as she leaned slightly back against the wall of the saddle, her eyes remaining ever watchful on Musei. Part of her was avoiding looking at Taikai or Taizen, attempting to hide what was bothering her.

Taizen nodded slowly, was he expecting that reaction? Of course he was, didn’t mean it still didn’t hurt him. Taizen reached out with his extra hand and placed it on Niima’s shoulder, however, the hand bending the ball of water reached out for her palm. He took it tenderly, though he seemed to be unable to comprehend the use of emotions in day-to-day uses, in bending- in healing that is – Emotions were beneficial. The water that had been in Taizen’s hand slinked up from Niima’s palm and to her shoulder, where he had placed his other hand. It quickly dispersed itself around her whole arm like a bandage. Taizen sighed, preparing himself.

He closed his eyes and concentrated on the healing process… On Niima…The water began to glow, as was expected as he poured energy into the bending, poured energy into Niima. But energy wasnot the only thing needed, he felt like a storm inside, he was used to it by now, but it was not pleasant. How could he concentrate on her emotions when his were bashing his insides like a hurricane? He still tried of course. He couldn’t be half-hearted with Niima, as he poured his energy into her, he felt Niima’s own energy. He felt her… Weariness, along with the emotion will to continue. Knowing that Niima still wanted to heal herself-though it was a secondary thing to her- was soothing to Taizen, creating a time of peace within Taizen. It was selfish, if you were to look at it from some ones perspective. He gained calm from healing her. Was he just using her to quelm his storm?

Taizen poured his relief into Niima, it was accidental, and it wasn’t warm like the emotion he was denying he’d felt, when he’d healed her after Kurai’s fight. But it was rather… Strong, fast, and cool; like drinking water on a hot summer day. Of course, Taizen did not know he’d poured that emotion into her, he’d originally intended for that warm feeling. Although it seemed it was as elusive as that beast that would have killed Fulgar. Each person could have a different way to respond to that, but… he opened his eyes with surprise and the water evaporated before his eyes. And, of course; what would Taizen be if not a fool for his bending, he slowly pulled back his hands, and then back to the arm, so fast? He’d healed her already? It was no where near as long as the last time… Though it was only one place he was healing, but he hadn’t even placed an emotion! Or.. so he thought… Bending was very unpredictable. He could have sworn he’d healed her. But he couldn’t peer through flesh, so as far as he knew, it was still broken, or it had mended itself faulty, perhaps the next time Niima bended in battle, it would act up… Perhaps Niima did not receive the same relief he had in the healing.

Once the healing was 'finished', Taizen could see that they had landed, and tentatively stood up, grabbed his stuff, and then jumpeddown the from the bison, Taikai was doing thesame, though a bit slowler. Once Taikai was on theground Taizen was about to headtowards the block of ice- oblivious to Musei's danger, and/or joy - to look back to Niima, he held back a sigh, and heldout a hand forNiima's usein her climb down the beast.

MeanwhileTaikai was chuckling, either at Taizen's attempt at chivalry, or at Musei's energeticn-ess. He walked purposefully towards a big lump of snow in the lake. Taikai sighed, and took a deep breath, raising his arms, widening his stance, making his back straight and bringing his arms up to shoulder height. He moved fluently for an old man, and for one rheumatism at that. But Waterbending discouraged Rheumatism, even helped dealwith it. But it was not yet cured. So, with his fluent movements, though hidden by discipline, Taikai turned his left foot to point out to sea, his hips turning with them, he benthis left knee, and kept his right straight. Pointing towards the lump of snow. He resumedhis normal position, before raising his arms again to shoulder height. He turned his body, head locked on it's target. His left arm rose, and hisright arm shot out. There was a sharp release of breath, and the Lump of snow was shot back, as though it were blown by wind, revealing a boat that looked asthough it were meant for transporting goods along thecoast, rather than for sea-voyage. Though, it did seem large enough to carry at the least four people. Taikai sighed, and stretched abit. It was still frozen, he'd just removed the snow from it. He and Taizen would have to break it free.

Musei finished his happy-hunting escapade, using the staff like a pole to slide himself next to everyone, he finally made tentative steps towards the shore. Of course, ice was kinder to the slider than the walker; and Musei wound up flat on his arse.

He quickly propped himself back up and made it back to dry land, standing next to Takai. He watched as Takai blew the snow off the ship, and a twinkle of wonder ran through his eyes. The wonder of if he could do the same eventually.

"Takai, sir? Are you sure that thing is still water-worthy?"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:47 pm

Taikai sighed and looked down to the young airbender. "Ah, yes. The wood of this ship was very expensive, and it was coated with special oil to keep itfrom cracking, even in extreme cold." The man looked like he was explaining some very important secret that only his descendant deserved to hear. "Wood is a valuable resource in the north pole. We must trade for every piece we have. More oft than not, a 'ship' is nothing more than a bunch of planks tied together with seaweed. We were lucky, only people high on the social ladder get a boat of this size." The man pat the frozen boat tenderly, he'd obviously fought for his right to be 'high' in the social ladder. Though his birth right was still obscure. "Everyother ship bigger than this is made for war." There were fishing ships as well, but they were usually barely more than the'planks of wood tied with seaweed' and were only more because it needed something hollow to carry fish in. A waterbender can fish on abunch of planks alone, but a waterbender would have to be able to carry a bit of the ocean, in orderto take fish back.

Niima hadn't meant to be so..flat when she had told Taizen he could heal. She just didn't know what to say. Her eyes lowered to watch Taizen's hands do their magic..okay...bending but it was still amazing to her. His sigh made her feel guilty. Guilty for asking him to heal her. Guilty for keeping the secret of Guardian's death from him. Guilty from treating him so..cold. But then again he was the one withdrawing from her..

She watched the water glow with mild interest, her mind working on how she was going to explain to Taizen..everything..For some strange reason she had the want to poke at the glowing water. Like it was some glowing snake coiled about her arm and if she poked it, the liquid interior would shift and dance about. Ah but no. She was a good girl and just sat and watched.

The fight with Kurai and the earthbender where two different things. She had been alright to fight with Kurai. She didn't quite mind that Taizen offered her up for the fight. Not so much that Kurai attempted to break the airbender but eh..little details right? Now the earthbender was a different story. She had been forced, unwanted, into that battle. But..she had given her word to do it and she was never one to go back on her word, even if it had meant her death. And there could of been one mistake during that fight..one fatal and she could of bit the dust..Luckily she was too damn determined to stay alive. If she wasn't so determined to remain alive..she might not of made it this far as is.

She broke from her mindless peddles when the strange sensation pretty much snapped her from her thoughts. That..was a strange. It hadn't been like last time he had healed her. This was almost like..refreshing? Relief... But not her own. Shared? Her brows knitted in confusion as she tried to weed out what it was, watching Taizen all but freak as the water evaporated. Was something wrong? Did he mess up? Was her arm healed crooked? Her fingers curled slowly then relaxed, trying to rid the stiffness. It seemed healed..and okay..so why did he look concerned? Or was that worry? Definitely confusion..

For the time being she said nothing, flexing her hand slowly as Taizen stood and dismounted the beast. Her attention turned to the two airbenders who where now in awe at what they had just witnessed. She smiled weakly and bid them farewell. Picking up her knapsack, which oddly still felt way heavy, she stood. She sluggishly moved towards the edge and started to dismount, slowing as she witnessed Taikai reveal the boat. Her eyes lowered to find Taizen had his hand outstretched towards her. He was...offering to help her down? Part of her automatically wanted to snap at that..Sure NOW you want to help me..Where were you when I needed you! Instead she reached out, lightly taking his hand as she finished her descend. With Musei getting a lecture from Taikai she decided to use this moment to speak privately with Taizen.

"Thank you..Taizen. And I am sorry if I've seemed cold lately. I am just not use to having to battle against my will. Especially when I've just finished one that nearly killed me and hadn't yet to heal and rest.." Her hand left his slowly, raising to readjust the knapsack on her shoulder. Her eyes lowered to the snowy ground. She wasn't even attempting to blame him for that battle with the earthbender. No. That was someone else. That name didn't need to be spoken at that particular moment. "And..right now I am just..mourning over Guardian's death.." She left it at that, deciding to move over so Taizen could help Taikai, her explanation completed..

Musei furrowed his brows as thought. Being raised in the forest, surrounded by endless trees, he couldn't think of someone having a shortage of them. "Really? Rare? Where I come from you could make...hundreds of those ships and barely make an effect. Is the North Pole really...that barren?"

His mind couldn't comprehend it. The most open space he'd ever seen was a small meadow in the middle of a forest. Hardly enough space to build a house. Of course there was the Temples, but those weren't open. They were surrounded by things.
