"Well, it's hard to say exactly, but there have certainly been precedents of Muggleborns having wizarding family - usually because they're the descendants of Squibs," Phobius answered with a small shrug.
Confusa began to explain about the other animals - Deva, Hedwig, Soren, Diego, and Mitis. She then added as an afterthought that her not-quite-human's mother had a familiar as well named Midnight, but that particular animal generally kept to herself, so they weren't likely to come across her.

Phobius quirked an eyebrow, noting her dazed expression and the bags she was carrying. "I assume the results of your trip to Gringotts were unexpected, then?" he asked dryly, idly noting mentally that Aran had apparently gone back to his shop.

Harry stared blankly a moment as his brain registered that his girlfriend was descended from (or at least related to) two of the most infamous people in Wizarding Britain's history. After a moment, he managed to recover from his shock as he rather quickly accepted it; to his loving, open-minded brain, Katherine was still Katherine, end of discussion. Phobius, on the other hand...
Eris waved her hand in front of Phobius's gobsmacked face and glazed-over eyes in amusement; the amusement only increased when she realized he wasn't responding. A quick poke to the forehead caused the boy to topple over with a thud, confirming what Eris had already figured out: Phobius, the boy infamous for his unshakeable near-apathy (barring Dumbledore and a few other things), had just fainted... standing up... with his eyes open. She laughed before glancing over at Katherine, amusement written all over her face. "When he comes to, expect him to start offering everything short of his firstborn kid in exchange for some of your ancestors' knowledge," she warned good-humoredly. It was understandable, really; Gray or Dark, Morgana was still practically the mother of Dark Arts, and Salazar was a genius potions master - both subjects Phobius was interested in.

Confusa agreed that yes, her not-quite-human could be rather amusing sometimes.
Harry didn't quite get why he would be affected by this (other than the initial surprise, obviously), but he certainly wasn't complaining as he kissed her back, blushing a little as he enjoyed the kiss.
Phobius stirred due to the kiss, immediately starting to give Hermione one of his way-too-good-for-his-age french kisses.
Eris just looked rather amused as she watched the hormonal snogfest.

"I wouldn't say no to some notes," Phobius volunteered. "Admittedly, I'm not going to be giving you my firstborn child in return... would you like my soul, perhaps? I wasn't using it anyway."
Eris sighed. "Phobius, what have I told you about selling your soul?"
"Make sure it is for a worthy cause, that the person I'm selling it to won't use it for purposes that clash with my own, and that I demand a properly written contract with no loopholes except those that can only be used to my advantage," Phobius recited obediently.
Harry gave him a weird look, but decided not to comment on the dubious morality that that sort of advice indicated.
Confusa gave several suggestions, most of which could be summed up as "don't anger the not-quite-human or the animal-human, don't upset the scar-human since that would anger the others, and don't get too close to the two-legs-fire-thing in case he sets you on fire by accident".

Phobius actually sulked for a moment before recovering.
Harry perked up at that and quickly got just as excited as his girlfriend, obviously eager to see the brooms in question (and possibly fly on them if he could).

Phobius and Harry similarly wand-waved their trunks downstairs, Harry actually looking a little disappointed; he'd rather enjoyed his time at Phobius's house.

Harry nodded, then paused as he realized a small problem. "...Er, what do I do with Diego? Snakes aren't exactly on the approved list, and I think someone would notice me bringing in a great big boa constrictor," he noted.
Diego, who had learned English in their time together and overheard that little comment, slithered over and poked his master indignantly with the tip of his tail. ~Are you calling me fat?~
Phobius rolled his eyes in amusement, checking his things real quick to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything.
