At that point, we can stop the killing, or at least let a younger version of Faust VIII fix his older self before he dies. You noticed that our Faust disappeared? That's because he doesn't exist. There was the sound of a dog barking. Two young people ran by, laughing happily and chattering in animating German. They were obviously newlyweds.
