Looks at Hartley..
" Oh not to many people.. just me, my mom, Diana, Chris, Ferdinad- he's an expert chef, Achilles, Donna, her boyfriend Roy, his daughter Lian, and I was wanted to invite you guys, Wallace, and Billy. It'll be fun."
Cassie smiled at looked at Teddy.
" I understand.. you know you could bring your mom to if you want. Unless you think she would be uncomfortable?"

Yeah...Cassie already told he was a giant jerk and useless. That kinda bums me out. The way people wanted him back so bad I thought maybe he was cool.

" As long as you don't say anything hurtful I'm sure Achilles can behave himself. Besides... knowing him he'll be to busy eating to hurt anyone and after he's done he'll probably be so lethargic that he'll fall asleep on the couch."
Cassie smiled and put Hartley's hand in her own.
" I'm inviting you guys to spend Thanksgiving with me and my family because I consider you family. After all there's the family you are born into and the family you choose."

Hartley felt Teddy staring ice beams into him, and promptly misinterpreted the entire context.

Teddy's mouth flattened out into a tight line, and if his eyes were laser beams, they would have been searing into Hartley's flesh right then and there. "What the hell do you have against Wallace?" And on that note, Teddy went into his dorm room. "I'll ask him if he wants to go when he wakes up Cassie. I'm sure he will. If Achilles is going, I'd be down with meeting him to ask him about the football team. Also, if Billy can't go, I'll try to find a way to kidnap him. I'll just tuck him in my back pocket for safe keeping."
Teddy grinned at Cassie, waved to Powell, and then closed the door.

Cassie wondered if it had something to do with Hartley's parents. She remembered him once mentioning to her that he had issues with them. Must be serious ones too... Poor Hartley.

*Hmph. Joining the football team? Chris needed an ally at this Thanksgiving if Teddy was going. Achilles would be useless because A) he would eating and B) he's not going to jack up Teddy being a fellow football player.
Chris turned to look at Hartley. Cassie liked him. And he didn't like the football players. He would work.*
Hartley. If you do not come to Cassie's, then I will get a Hartley-sized sack, place you inside, and fly you there.

"Gaaaah..."
Hartley slumped his shoulders.
"I don't have anything against Wallace!" He shouted at the closed door. "I just don't want to be there RUINING his life some more!"
Hartley walked in a circle in the hallway and made himself come to a stop. Keep it normal, he told himself mentally.
"Pizza, that would be great. Just fine."

Teddy peeked his head out the doorway. "Then maybe avoiding him like he's the plague isn't a good way to show it." Once more Teddy closed the door.
