Approaching the Bonsly, the girl would find that it's body shined oddly. Turning she'd be able to at last clear see the moister was not from it's eyes but it's body. Sweat in the form of Fake Tears. Why the Bonsly seemed quite embarrassed by the display, it was even glowing a bright red! Wait...then why was it smiling....
Oh dear. It would seem the young girl had fallen into a trap. An adorable trap, but still a trap. Glowing brighter by the second, it was clear this Bonsly was about to blow! Up that is, and if Jin-Hua didn't hurry he'd be taking her with him!

As the boy traveled deep into the fog, there was a slight rustling heard. The fog became thicker, though if Tao looked closely, he'd be able to see a silhouette of a figure fairly close. He was wearing a cloak, covering both his clothes and face so the boy wouldn't be able to make out any distinguishing features. However it was at that moment he began to speak.
"Stop! Who would cross the Forest of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
What.... is your name?
What.....is your quest?
What........ is the air-speed velocity of an unladen Swellow?"
Longwei looked closely at the Bonsly to realize this was a trap when it started glowing and feeling the dangerous vibe radiating off it. He barked a warning to Jin-Hua then shoved her forward, trying to alert her to the danger!
Jin-Hua quickly recalled Longwei to his pokeball and then took off running, as fast as she could. She didn't want him to get hurt and was trying to prevent herself from anymore harm! This was the last time she was going to try and help a pokemon that seemingly was hurt or in danger!

Tao slowed to a stop when he saw the figure. He looked warily and his eyes widened when he heard it speak of death. Apparently, the forest was also a place of new ends just as it was for beginnings. He took a deep breath. Well, he supposed that it wasn't so bad yet seeing as the figure had yet to attack him. "My name is Tao and this is Meren, we are looking for the stone which produces evolutionary light and er, as for speeds, I guess that would depend on if the swellow is going up or down..."
Meren hid behind Tao at the sight of the figure. She peered at the hooded figure with suspicion.
Mudkip [F] Meren, Lv 2 Nature: Timid Bio: Meren was given to Tao just before being shipped off to Akumu academy. She hands a good amount of teamwork to Tao, as she is very obedient, but she never stands up for herself. Her introversion might have been caused by some sort of abuse prior to meeting Tao. ((So! Trainer injuries! Trainers can suffer injuries from various things on the island from a pokemon attack, or in this case the pokemon dropping him from high in the sky, to random events where rocks attempt to squish you. A trainer can have up to 5 injuries before they are knocked unconscious and suffer a penalty before being kicked off the island. ))
The figure seemingly vanished back into the fog and a loud shriek would pierce the silence of the forest. A Swellow would swoop down, use it's talons to grip the boy by the back of his clothes and pull him into the air (hopefully he either grabbed his Mudkip or recalled it to it's pokeball!)! The bird flew higher and higher until they were above the forest and up high in the sky! The two wouldn't be able to see through the clouds exactly where they were heading! As they were in the sky, the Swellow would abruptly release them. Dropping, dropping, the pair would land heavily on the ground. There was a loud thump and the ground was too hard to secure a soft landing.
+1 INJURY TO TAO!
1/5 TRAINER INJURIES!
As they looked around, it would seem that they had landed in a completely different area of the island! And that being said, they would have to start at the very beginning of this place to begin their journey!
Restless Volcano
A strange rocky land that always seems to be hot, no matter the time of day. The ground occasionally churns beneath the feet of any poor traveler who happens upon these shores. Keep an eye out whenever you take a step—you’re likely to take a fall down a particularly jagged rock slide, and you might not like what you find at the bottom. Still, as any good adventurer knows, it’s the roughest paths that brings the most rewards!... Sometimes. In the very least, it’s where you are now, so suck it up, roll up your pants, and try to avoid any lava.

Jin-hua's attempts to flee however would end in failure. Though she'd gotten out of the immediate blast zone she wouldn't be able to avoid the shockwave, or the 'shrapnel', which in this case meant she was being pelted with a dozen or so pieces of flying stone.

In the Garden of Monsters
Kiani watched as the poochyena dodged deeper into the darkness, she didn't want Lily going deep in there. "Don't get too deep in the darkness Lily. Use fire spin." Kiani commanded. Lily was obeying her commands beautifully and Kiani was loving her new partner. It was clear to Kiani that Lily would be her main partner in this journey.
The girl was nowhere near fast enough as a strong pulse of pain from her sprained ankle crippled her. She held up her hands to her face to protect it as many sharp rocks came hurtling towards her. By the time they were done, several shallow cuts were all over her arms! She released Longwei, glad that she had taken the hit instead of the Houndour. With that in mind, she was ready to continue on her way.
The Houndour barked in a reprimanding way. He would've gladly taken a hit for her and was mad that she had gotten hurt. Protecting him.. while it was his job to protect her. This time, as she took off walking, he was in front, ready to take on whatever dangers they encountered!
Tao tumbled like a ragdoll as he hit the ground. He gritted his teeth as his body was jarred by the impact. He hugged himself in pain and looked down to see Meren hugging his leg tightly. He decided to wait until the pain was gone before doing anything. Well, that was certainly an ironic turn of events. Questions about swellows and then attacked by the very same. He terminally decided he hated irony. He looked around smelling sulphur. Realizing they were dropped at the base of a volcano, Tao was glad they weren't dropped into the molten summit. He got up and looked about, his breath raggedy perhaps the hooded figure brought them here because there was an evolution stone about? He doubted the thought immensely and tried to refocus on what was around him. "Hey, Meren? You can let go now."
The mudkip snapped her clenched eyes open. She coughed and let go, mumbling an apologetic, ">Sorry...<"
The two began to walk accross the barren rocks. Somewhat carefully, of course, due to the recent events that just occurred

>I JUST THOUGHT YOU NEEDED SOME EXCERISE!< Maddie shouted back, flailing her hooves as she reared up. >LOOK AT YOU! LOOK AT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM! YOU NEED SOME CARDIO, CLIFFORD!<
>HATE.< It was all Vorpal could scream as he sent his shade out once again in a desperate Shadow Sneak attack. He just wanted this damned battle to end!.

Fire Spin connected! Poochyena takes 2 DMG! Fire Spin is no longer in effect!
The flames had worn out their welcome-- though he'd take one last hit from them, the Poochyena would find himself free of their bonds for the first time since this battle started. He might have still been injured, but he needed to take back the fight... with a roar, he flung himself bodily at the Litleo in a wholehearted Tackle!

In the Garden of Monsters
Kiani watched the angry poochyena charge from the darkness at Lily, he was going for a tackle and he wouldn't be pulling any punches. "Dodge it." Kiani commanded, worried about her little friend.

((18-1)-7)+(9-6) = 13 DMG! Lily is at 2 HP!
The Poochyena had flung himself harder than perhaps even he'd expected, slamming into the Litleo with all his body weight and frustration. He stumbled off her, dazed by pleased at how much damage he'd done. The girl'd either need to heal off that power, or risk her Pokemon getting KO'd... or worse, killed. Not that the Poochyena cared one way or another. With a cheery smirk, he dodged backwards, still smug despite his injuries.
Venturing further Jin-Hua would find that her luck was not improving. This time she'd find that baring her path was a wall made entirely of Pumpkins. She'd have to take a detour. True she could try to go over or through the wall, but there was no telling who or what lay on the other-side.
[-3 to your travel count unless you want to try going over the wall!]
">My name....isn't....clifford.....<" The Blitzle would manage to get out before toppling over, going for a roll in the mud. At long last it seemed Alice and her team had won this battle, and their opponent hadn't even known they were fighting!
