Paradox stayed with Katherine, through the battle of popularity outside. He had to leave soon, but he would stay until this disturbance rode itself out. He was also a bodygaurd, besides being a general.

All over the capital, people were dying suddenly from all sorts of death. One fell out of his window, when he leaned out to smell his flowers. The last thing he heard was an arrogant chuckle. Another man, walking down the street, remembered the strange taste of the water. Then his chest seized. The last thing he heard was an arrogant chuckle. On the other side of town, a wandering women was mugged, her throat slit. The last thing she heard was an arrogant chuckle. People were dying all over the place from unrelated causes, but dying none the less. One man knew it was coming, and prayed to the gods for it to stop. The last thing he heard was an Arrogany chuckle. The only commonality of the bodies, was that they all emanated a dark, putrid energy. It was unholy, and completly undetectable by the normal person.

"You think you can lie to the entire city? Citizens of Tesla died because of your Goddess. Even now people, he is using trickery against you. Much like the Queen, he is another monster. He already used his power to kill the people of Tesla and now him and Queen are going to do the same to you. Don't be fooled by a murderer." He told them, forcing his power out into the crowd like a massive wave.

A rich looking man walked through the crowd, shoving people out of the way. The crowd parted around him, like he was infected with something. He was apparently looking for something, and just happened to notice that the battle of powers going on around him. the man smiled. Unless, they directly targeted him, his own power protected him. It did. both Sekain's and Alastor's powers rode around his own aura. His aura reeked of death, destruction and mayhem, but didn't affect anybody else around him, unlike the two greater powers did. He could have laughed at Alaster's last statement. "Don't be fooled by a murderer. Good advise!" He laughed to himself. He saw the person he was looking for. It was one of the last on his list, and he always liked to get the last ones personally. A dagger slipped out of his sleeve, ready to strike this man. Ready to kill this man, and nobody would notice, held under such two such absolute powers.

Paradox nodded. "Would you like me to come with you?" The general asked. he would stay if she commanded, but he preferred that she had his protection.

Matachi slowly walked through the castle, it was so quiet except the sounds of his crutch clapping against the ground as he slowly walked. He came to the main hall where he planted himself on the steps near the throne, leaning back against the cool stone of the ground he let out a large sigh.

Katherine and Paradox came into sight she didn't so much as long at him. Her power couldn't fght aginst his he knew that well enough. So she took the blow, she paused in her steps when it hit her she looked slightly paler but she walked on. Once she was close enough she placed her hand out for her brother to take to help her up beside him.

A hush went over the rowdy crowd.

Paradox watched katherine turn pale. Alastor was doing something to her. Even though he couldn't feel any of the powers involved, he followed her, resolute, and tall. "This is very risky, Katherine." Paradox mumbled only loud enough for her to hear. From his back, he pulled off his fighting staff. he really didn't want to fight Alastor.

The killer saw Paradox in a glance, and payed no more attention to his master than he would a fly. All it meant is that he had to do it carefully. The dagger slipped around, and plunged into his target's heart, killing him instantly. The man fell to the ground, with a dagger sticking out of him, more than just dead.
