I often wonder what the difference is between rolling 5, 8-sided dice, and generating a random number between 5-40.. *Shrug*
it probably has to do with the fact that you have better chances of hitting the numbers in the middle...

Kusaragi I often wonder what the difference is between rolling 5, 8-sided dice, and generating a random number between 5-40.. *Shrug* it probably has to do with the fact that you have better chances of hitting the numbers in the middle... There's a huge difference. In a random number generator, you have 1/40 chance of getting 40. In 5 rolls of 8-sided die, you have 1/8^5 chance of getting 40.
