"And you know I can't live without her" he whispered softly to her. He turned and nodded to Black and Matachi excusing himself from the room before turning to leave

He gently broke free of her hand and looked around her, "You know she's the reason I'm here, she's the reason that I'm still in this realm, she's part of me, and you're obviously not comfortable with that. You're so uncomfortable it stops you from trusting me" he said softly and sorrowfully.

"Then why did you suspect me when you found out I was trading with Dracien? Why won't you tell me what Black knows? You thought I was raising an army against you, I know what Alastor did to you I did feel if, but that's not the source of the taint. You won't let me help because you're afraid I'm just knocking the obstacles out my way to you. That's what you think Katherine" he said his eyes meeting her for the first time since he left the room. "Alastor was made for your death not me, the whole world knows it" he continued calmly yet softly, in a tone just above whispering. It was strange becuase they were effectively arguing

"I have told you I don't want you involved. I won't tell anyone what Alastor did to me. Not even Matachi. Black found something wrong with me when I came back and someone almost killed me. I trust you as a person but i do not trust you when she is involved with anything. You almost had be back then and you had your chance and you picked her not me." She took a breath and glanced around again. "If we beat Alastor it will come down to me and you. You know that." Katherine's last words were like a pleading sound she didn't want that she didn't want him as a enemy. "Tell me it won't be and I will believe it I will trust you but i don't think you can."

Black gave a frustrated sigh and looked down, scratching his chin. The easiest way to have done this would have been to using an empty syringe."Okay then..." He said and looked down to his leg. "Do you think you can take another shot of the pain killer? It might help you."

Katherine felt confusion touch her and then tears when he spoke about her aura and such. Was she some gross thing now? Is that what he had ment? "No Sek I need a brother or friend, or whatever you could be to me. I don't understand your fear of the gods you wanted to be with Asami thats your way. You could have anything there yet you are picking death. She is not doing you any favors." She was pulling away backing up she had to get away from him. For his words brought to much back to her. To much of Alastor back to her.

He gently took her hand and pulled her towards him holding both of her hands in both of his. "Katherine, I apologise, I meant nothing by what I said, I could feel what he had done, the pain he caused you. It is reflected in the taint of your powers." he sighed wishing he could fix it. He loked back up ot her from the floor. "Has it not occured to you that death may be the only way to truly be free? as long as I'm here mother will have input, if I'm with the god's I'll be kept prisoner by them." his voice was even more gentle than before.
