Amber pulled her hand back and smiled. "i was born on an uncharted island in the Atlantic ocean. everyone on the island were fox people. but then a ship came and picked alot of us up. my parnets went on with me as i was a baby. and then i moved here. so i lived just a little ways away from here in an apartment." Amber looked up at the wall. she looked at the clock. "i have to go!" she grabbed the book, put it back and grabbed her backpack. she then ran out of the library to the dorms((exit to dorm))

" Bye "
Shiia whispered softly after Amber had left, then she hit herself softly. " Damn it! I'm too shy to even talk..... " It was a problem. Then, why was she so used to Rizo and them? The whole forest fight had been brief, but for some reason she remembered it so clearly. The blood, the sword; tt was all so vivid. So, why is she still afraid? And even more so, what is she so afriad of?
She walked out of the library and headed off to the roof for some fresh air.

Walking in, Loria was a bit disappointed with the decor. She had imagined place filled with carve dark wood shelves, countless candles and ornate arm chairs. But the place is really a modern looking place, with molded plastic chairs and electric lighting. Oh well. Should have expected as much. This is no fairytale.
She browsed the titles of the books in her unique and grand style, much like a queen or empress. Finding the romance section, she picked a book from her new favourite genre. Summoning an armchair with some difficulty, she settled in her creation, making herself comfortable and picking her Chinese styled gown so they are arranged perfectly. Another habit I got from nowhere.
After reading the first few paragraphs of the romance novel, she felt a slight migraine settling in. I must be getting rusty. She thought, Conjuring back a chair shouldn't take so much energy. She gave up on the book, and elegantly placed it on the floor. I promised Galene I'll be back for dinner...oh well, I'll just think of some excuse later.Closing her eyes and folding her hands, looking ever so majestic, Loria planned to rest a little. But her small practice of magic worn her out more than even she had thought, and she fell asleep, still looking perfectly dignified and gracious.

Bright blue eyes wandered through the shelves of books as he entered into the library for the first time. He walked slowly. Trying to read the spines of each present book. His own interests lead him to the fictional section. Even further, his attention was caught by a shelf of greek mythology. Tales of wit and fantasy, he was swept away in. "Ah, at last...Hermes. I finally get to meet the guy behind the winged gold sandals." He giggled to himself in excitement. He sat down then and there where the rug brushed his legs, leaning on the next bookshelf.

Long locks of golden hair flipped behind Sepherene with each step she took. A willful girl she was--when she decided that she wanted to do something, she'd do it. Nothing could stop her from taking pleasure with this habit of hers of being curious about something and wanting to know more about it. Even as a little girl, she always grew curious in the world around her and pried around for answers, even if it meant breaking a thing or two on the way.
In this case, her interest was in a person.
Sepherene followed him...well, whoever he was, anyway. He left without leaving a name--rude, much. The girl followed him intently as he stepped into a room full of books wherever the eye turned.
"Oh, so this is the library," she marveled. Disappointment wiped off the smile of astonishment she wore proudly only for a few moments. Why did the library have to look so modern? She dreamed of going to a school with the libraries filled with wooden shelves, carpets upon the floor for one to lie down on and read countless tomes.
On the process of following the lad, she was distracted by the books in the library. Ah yes, she loved literature, the beautiful mystery of how words could sound so lyrical and lovely even without a melody, or how one could be swayed to tears at the mention of a short statement. As she looked around, recognizing several books, the girl remembered why she had come here in the first place.
"Shoot, I lost him," she said in a whisper.

The teenager closed his eyes simultaneously with the book he finished. "Not even 200 pages thick. How disappointing. Although his misadventures were quite the entertainment." He muttered reviewing the book himself. From an indian sit, he untangled his legs and stood up in one quick motion. Trident returned the book to where he found a gap between two others. He fixed his striped-scarf that was messed up from the long day of exploring the school and walked further into the striking new modern library.

There were barely any people in the library, another thing that Sepherene loved about the place. She could be by herself and enjoy her free time without having to worry about people staring at her, or people being within her personal bubble. She freaked out each time that happened, when there were too many people in that ten-meter radius bubble. Most of the time, it triggered her ability.
Her mother told her that she wouldn't feel comfortable with the power until after some time, when Sepherene tries using her abilities herself.
The girl walked down the aisles, still enamored by the number of books. From the epic tales of ancient heroes, to bone-chilling terror-filled horror, to mind-boggling mystery, to heartwarming true-to-life stories, and to heart-racing romance, all the stories she could ever want were there. Every title of the books around her came to mind without her having to pull them out of their shelves.
One book caught her attention, but it was at least three aisles away. A blue book, she somehow saw it, a thick book of exactly five hundred pages. The girl skipped aisles, keeping her site on that one book. "Ah, there it is," she said with a victorious tone, spotting the book quickly. She reached for it as an immediate response to locating it, unaware that the lad from the lounge earlier was in the same aisle.
Her ability to recognize details kicked in. She recognized the appearance of the person not too far away from her. A tinge of anxiety filled the girl as she turned her head. "Uh...H-Hi," she chuckled nervously.

Oh, look at that pretty girl over there!
Who? Oh, the one in the Mythology section?
Yeah, look...
"What...?" Loria slowly opened her bleary eyes, wondering who was talking. She felt a bit stiff after sleeping in such an uncomfortable position. Slowly, she rose from her armchair, which disappeared as soon as Loria was standing.
She's awake! Finally! You have no idea how stiff my spine is from lying like that on the ground for so long!
"Oh! The books are talking!" Loria exclaimed. She's recently started hearing "voices", but they turned out to be the paper and writing around her talking. Mythology section, huh? Perhaps I can get a book from there to tease Galene and Circe before they remember to be mad at me. She bent down to pick the unread book up, and replaced it on the shelf, silently bade it good bye. Following her natural intuition on books, she headed for the Mythology section.
She walked in a leisurely pace, not at all hurried by the thought that her aunts would be madder at her, the longer she's late. She soon saw the silhouette of two people in an aisle, and she cheerfully greeted them.
"Hi! My name is Loria, a new student here, pleased to meet you! Are you trying to find books on Greek Mythology too?"
Peering at the book the sky-blue eye boy was holding, she answered the book's silent greeting, and smiled at the boy. "If it's a book about Hermes you want, you should really have gotten this book." As she said it, an old leather covered tome soared to her. The title was A Complete Collection of Greek Mythology, 157 Edition. "It's not only about Hermes, there are many tales in which he was only mentioned that wasn't included in the other book. And this book is in chronological order, not in alphabetical, as your book is."
Loria smiled. The tome seemed to be a little less tattered, and very happy, when Loria praised it. She silently reassured the smaller book it is just as good as any, only that it's writer couldn't put enough information in it.

The appearance of a third individual into the scene frightened Sepherene. She felt the girl approach once within her field of vision. Sepherene desperately tried to ignore the girl--but not that kind of ignore. The blonde-haired lass desperately tried to purge her ability to see things around her, as long as they were ten meters away from her, or less. She hated being able to see every detail clearly even when her eyes were turned away from the people. Worse, she could tell when people were gossiping about her.
Why did she have to stand out?!
The girl came closer. Sepherene pretended to not know that the girl came along suddenly. She jumped a bit at the sight of the girl, a black-haired female with chocolate eyes, with a certain royal air to it. Sepherene gained the impression of meeting someone from Chinese royalty, something which she could only imagine happening in the books she read.
She wasn't going to repeat the same mistake she made in the student lounge.
"Er, maybe he is," she said a bit nervously as she pointed to the lad whose name was not yet a piece of known information to her. "I'm just looking for a good read."
Sepherene didn't lie--she loved to read. It was a trait that came from her father. Delving deep into a foreign world and discovering the wonders of what the human mind can create fascinated her. Taking the 500-page book, she flipped through the pages a bit...hmm...
Unconsciously, she caused another book to come to her, floating through the air swiftly as if flight was natural to it.

"A messenger of the Gods...wow..that is truly a privilege." He pondered on some more about his previous readings. His raven-colored hair was combed by his large pale hand. The teenager walked down the aisles of each genre, subject and author. Although no library can hold all the books in the world, Trident was content with the miscellaneous books that are found within the walls of the library.
Trident passed back down the bookshelf he sat in before only now there was a person who stood there. "Uh...H-Hi" He heard the person greet. Turning his head, he noticed it was the girl he met in the student lounge. She seemed to be in a lighter mood than from when they first met. "Hello, there." He smiled greeting her kindly. "What brings you here?" Trident asked.
Before he could hear out her answer, another girl walked in. "Hi! My name is Loria, a new student here, pleased to meet you! Are you trying to find books on Greek Mythology too?" She said in a happy tone. "If it's a book about Hermes you want, you should really have gotten this book." As she said it, an old leather covered tome soared to her. "Wow, thank you very much, Loria. I really appreciate it." He said while taking the book from her hands.

Sepherene nearly answered the boy when a gentle nudge from behind interrupted her. She turned around to see what it was, to see who or what had interrupted her so rudely.
"Eeeeek!" she squealed. Pretty loudly, actually. Who wouldn't scream when a book suddenly comes up to you from behind?
A resounding "SHH" came from every corner of the library. Immediately the girl covered her mouth. She glared at the book, floating as it was suspended in the air. Did she...do that? The book, she recognized it after recalling the other books her gift brought into sight. She thought of going to the tome and pulling it out of hiding to explore its words, but was merely a simple thought. To think, she thought, that I'd call on a book by accident...
She turned to the two and chuckled nervously. "I'm still bad in controlling these powers of mine," she admitted, almost a bit too bluntly. "By the way, I'm Sepherene Lucielle Chastierlaine, Sephene or Seph for short. And you?" she turned to the two, alternating glances between them. Her lucid blue eyes, once cross from the event at the student lounge, seemed to sparkle with the intent of wanting to know who these two people were.
A premonition told her that she'd be meeting them more often.

"Wow, thank you very much, Loria. I really appreciate it."
"You're very welcome." Loria smiled, she loved helping others. But at the moment, she was more curious of the pretty blond girl the books were talking about.
"You made a book move...can you control paper, too?" Gesturing toward the floating book, she found the book was surprised to be moved. Strange, I thought they move by themselves, when they really want to, or when I tell them to. Loria could sense this girl was uneasy from her body language, and wondered if she frightened her. Or perhaps it was the moving book. She remembered what she did when a book first moved for her, and stifled a giggle. It was definitely worse than shrieking in the library.
"I'm Loria Sky, at your service."

Surprised by Sepharene's squeal, Trident almost tripped back. "Woah!" He tried to steady himself with the large book still clutched in his arms. His eyes widened with amazement at the floating book. "So this is your power then...Interesting." He said aroused by the sudden floating book. He snapped back to reality as regards to the conversation they were having. "Oh, dear...I'm very sorry. Forgive my rudeness. I still haven't given you my name." He slapped his forehead out of punishment. "My name is Ace Trident Quell. You can call me whatever you want but a lot people would be pacified with Trident or Tride." He gestured a nod to go with his late introduction.

"Trident? Tride? How about Ace? It sounds, uh, cooler. And don't clutch the book too hard, it's old." Loria grinned. She felt the making of new friends is within reach..."Are you all new students? I have a feeling none of us has really been here long."

Trident or Tride... Sepherene liked the previous better. "I'm new, for one thing," Sepherene answered.
Loria didn't know how much relief it brought Sepherene when the Oriental beauty could relate to how Sepherene felt, even if it just meant controlling things. Thank goodness the people who shushed her were far from the mythology section. A crowd gathering around her, or a group of people whose attention is focused on her was far from pleasant to a girl with her own abilities--the ability to manipulate area.
That is, according to her mother.
"Loria Sky." Sepherene smiled. People would have to admit that she was cute despite her rather fearful appearance of power that a leader had. "What a lovely name, simple, easy to remember, but beautiful."
She turned her attention to the floating book. "I don't control things specifically," she said, taking hold of the tome and relieving it from the open air where it had been suspended in. "I'm not too sure of my powers myself, but Mother told me that I can manipulate the area around me within a ten-meter radius. She told me that the area I'm able to manipulate grows as I learn to control the power." She looked at the thick tome in her hands.
"Actually, I think I might have another power, something that Mother might be hiding from me," she spoke a bit nervously. Ever since Sepherene had known of her true heritage, she grew wary about it.
Imagine being the daughter of one of the most powerful Muses...
