It's so strange to see her do that... just putting on a brave face like that. Black thought to himself when he saw her again. "They're prepping him for surgery. Though we won't be able to begin until tomorrow." He told her, since it would probably take in the morning until later in the day, he would need to start at an earlier time. The morning was the best.
He felt something from her that he did before, then placed his hand on her lower stomach. Black could feel what emotion Alastor put behind that stab and it made him shiver. After he was done, he brought her back in. "What would you like to do?"

"I need to check over the work that was done while I was gone." She never said where, and she seemed to ignore his little shiver he wasn't liveing with it. He wasn't dealing he didn't have to. This made her feel confused at the moment she pushed the thoughts back. She smiled again.

"It's all done, Katherine. Double checked and triple checked by myself. Just, don't work too hard. I think we should just enjoy what we have off for the day." Black told her, trying to at least get her a drink to calm her nerves.

Katherine took it but she didn't drink it she wanted to work. Work ment not thinking. She needed Matachi, she needed him okay. She looked over to Black. "I think its best to work I need something to keep my mind off of things.." Off of what might happen if Alastor shows up before Matachi and I are fully better. She thought of something then. "Where is Paradox?" She hadn't seen him since she had gotten back and she wanted to sendd him far until Alastor wasn't a threat, he didn't need to be tangled into it.

"I don't know where he is. How could we lose track of a guy that big?" Black asked, looking around himself. He didn't even know if the guy slept or if he just waited. "I'll help you with work."

"When he gets back if I am not around tell him I am going to put him with a couple of Matachi's men to find Mel. Once they have found her you will be in charge of her, and her senctanceing. Maybe Paradox can figure out who she is working for." She said simply thinking that Paradox could easily hadnle the job and if Alastor showed up it would keep him elsewhere. "Other than that Matachi's men will report to me until he gets better."

"Which reminds me. Once the surgery is done, he's going to need to stay in bed for at least a day and keep from doing any strenuous activities for a few weeks." Black told her before he moved on. "As for Paradox, I'll let him know what you want." He looked to the stairs and then back to her. "Don't worry about anything, Katherine. It will all be under control."

Katherine looked at him she knew he was trying to comfort her. Trying to make it seem like everything was going to be taken care of. That she needed to relax. Relaxing was the last thing on her mind. She had hundreds of things right now. "We will keep it okay but something is really bothering and i don't want anyone here swept up with it. I am not stupid right now is the perfact time we could be attacked by anything."

Matachi woke in some serious pain he didn't know exactly where he was at first which made him panic abit in his breath. is ankle throbbed and he dared not to move anything, so he just laid still not moving one muscle at all. Sweat ran down his face as he just stared upwards scared to do anything at the moment.

One of Black's assitants soon came to tell them he was awake. Katherine was the first headed the way once she got there she smoothed out his hair as always and gave him a olight kiss. "Are you feeling okay? They say they will fix you all up tomarrow until then I can make a stronger batch of the opium tea drinks?"

Matachi nods his head as he looks at Katherine "I'm sorry Katherine..." He said softly it was apparent he was still beating himself up about everything, he felt so bad so stupid for not being able to kill Alastor. He didn't know what to do now, he felt lame, like he would be stuck to this bed forever or not be able to do anything anymore.

Black was about to tell her something when one of his assistants came down. He nodded to them and headed down with Katherine. Still cringing at the sight of his ankle. Without too much effort, he pulled Katherine away from him to tend to him. "I'm really sorry you two, though I really need to be in to do this." He said before looking to Katherine. "No more of the tea. I can't have it in his system when I give him the anesthetic tomorrow. From there he'll be out most of the day."
From there, Black pulled out a syringe full of clear liquid. Without hesitation, he poked it in and injected the liquid. Matachi would feel the muscle relaxant working quickly. Then he pulled away and watched the tendon. That must have hurt like hell. "Still feeling it?"

Katherine had opened her moutht to say something. Something comforting. Then she was pushed out of the way which scared her made her think something was wrong. She watched then both waiting, keeping silent in case Black needed her to.

Matachi nodded his head after taking the shot "Every second I feel some sore of pain.." he says as he looks over softly moving a nurse who doesn't fight back, he reaches out to Katherine taking her hand "She doesn't get pushed out of the way, please Black.." he begged to Black...something he never did but he really needed her there.
