I don't remember which thread we were talking about Pretear on, but since I had been on youtube to see if perhaps there was TAS (or filler type stuff of a related nature) I'm just gunna ramble here.
Anyhow there are no updates, but the first thing on "recommended for me" was: Pretear, episode 1, English dub. Coincidences are funny huh? I'm thinking about watching it, however my internet has been glitchy so I might get frustrated and give up.

Oh wow, that is quite a coincidence. XD Or perhaps I'm actually sneaking onto your Youtube account and looking at Pretear stuff so it makes it into your recommended videos, and then you are tempted to watch it? ninja But no, really, you should.

Well, as I only have 3 friends on Youtube, and I don't think you're one of them, that would be quite the stretch...but maybe. ninja
Anyhow my internet has been even glitchier than ever, I don't know why it's pissing me off!! I've been wanting to watch Naruto, yes yes, it's awful, but I like a lot of characters so I wanna know stuff without being told. This means watching. Darn fanarts getting me into the fluffy ridiculousness!!!
Guess I'll have to try later, I mean forums work because I can just type while I'm kicked off and hit submit in between spells (just need to make sure to c/p everything just in case), but videos are impossible. Bah!

Hahaha, ok ok, good one! I shall bow down to that.
Ah, but I won't deny the things I like, as awful and fluff filled and recap heavy as they may be... stressed .

Sweet, I owned. XD That's pretty rare for me. I actually don't hate Naruto as much as I make myself out to. I tried reading/watching it before it was known in the states and appeared everywhere you turned that involved anime. I liked it well enough; wasn't one of my favorites, but was something I'd consider finishing, unlike Inu Yasha. But then... it came to the states... and the fans... the fans... *shudders* They're just... everywhere... I got so sick of the fandom, and how mean the fans were and saying YUU*GI*OU is for retards and such... I just decided I didn't like Naruto enough to begin with to not bash it now. XD;; I know, I'm horrible, but it kind of ruined itself for me by being too flippin popular.

I got put off Naruto for similar reasons. Nothing against it, but my friends were raving about it loads (this was before it got dubbed, so it did seem non-mainstream and cool and all that nonsense and this probably put me off anime a little because I didn't know about it and thought it was all similar >>). We sat down and watched it and my reaction was... that's it? Wasn't bad, but wasn't as awesome as they'd been making out it was. Hype backlash, oyeah. Of course, had I been able to concentrate over the squeeing, it may have been a better experience.
But I tend to be drawn moth, flame, to things that are silly, so w/e.

@Kits - it's sad how popularity ruins things from some people. I'm glad I got through Twilight before it became big, because both the fandom and antifandom are REALLY friggin annoying. I mean geez, it's one thing to like your series and want to talk about, but it's not a political campaign here. Quit the preaching!
Yea Naruto isn't brilliant, but it's light and fluffy and it's something I can easily get in the mood for. Just wish it wasn't so friggin long! Other than my brother though - whose not the talk about anything type - I don't know any fans. Or even many people familiar with it. So nobody can really put me off it. I think that's one of the nice thing also about getting into anime later in life, most of the people I know are just too old to be ridiculous.
Although as far as Twilight goes apparently ridiculous doesn't have an age limit ~_~.
@Mogey - Yay silly! I can get that way too sometimes, I totally understand.
Yea I don't know anyone into or not into Naruto, so for me it was just, well I see merchandise everyone, and omg there is awesome fanart, soooo let's give it a try. Awesome fanart can make me do just about anything ^_~.

@Morgey: Yeah, I definitely don't see where the complete and utter obsession for Naruto comes from. XD It's just... okay. Like it seems like an average anime to me.
@JK: I know... I really wish I was above such things, letting popularity ruin something for me, but sadly, I'm not. ~_~;; Naruto is light and fluffy? XD I thought after the first little parts (pretty much what I read up to... maybe volume five?) it got all dark and angsty? Or maybe fans are just over-emphasizing that as well. A few of my friends like Naruto, but none of them are really obsessed with it. I met a lot of obnoxious Narutards in high school though. And many many more online.

@Kits - remember I'm only 74 episodes in - and it's full of fluff so I'm not sure how it correlates with the manga at all. I think it's fluffy, I mean sure you have death and some bad guys and stuff, it's just, there aren't any really strong attachments anywhere, save for the main characters. Even characters you like, it's just, oh well. I think you need way more character depth to be dark and angsty, and yea you can tell you'll get it with the main characters later, but it's not even close to there where I am. I don't know how I'll feel when it's dark and angsty, it'll depend I guess.

OMG!!! Karma I saw your name on a thread besides the rp and almost had a heart attack, hahahahaha, YAY!!!
It's mostly potatoes and ninjas anyhow, you are cool, just talk about whatever! Or you could talk about TAS, have you seen any of TAS yet? You should...or you should go like watch filler videos, like how Yuugi is wack, that would be awesome!!!
