Good for you.
My statement before had little to do with the actual criticism of my poem, and more to do with your statement "Maybe I should start a thread teaching you guys about methods for writing poetry and shtuff....like iambic pentameter...."
Good for you, you know this stuff, but some people like writing for the joy of expression, and don't need to learn writing terms to experience that. So just lay low, and try to be respectful of the fact that not everybody finds joy in the academics of everything. I liked this guild because it had a laid back feel to it- like a bunch of friends sitting around sharing their poems over coffee. No pressure. It's the first one I've found like that.

lol, sorry. I was kidding about that. I just noticed that a lot of poems seemed like they were spoofs off lyrics from popular singers. Some poems are not necessarily in this guild. Basically, it just annoys me if people don't know the basics of writing. I know what you mean by expression, since I started playing around with words to show my emotions in elementary school, but I feel that some academic stuff wouldn't hurt.

Hello again. How is everyone tonight? (My computer just did something really strange)
Anyways, I decided to post something different, I hope nobody minds. It's the first of four "How- To" articles I wrote a while back. I'm looking for more ideas, so if anybody thinks they have one that would be good, please send it to me- I would appreciate it very much!! 3nodding

How To Clean The Toilet
Cleaning the toilet bowl has to be one of the most UNinspiring and boring actions enacted by the human race. No doubt, it's necessary, but it is a pain. However, a few simple steps and this normally dismal task need not be so painful.
1.) Dress comfortably- You're cleaning a toilet, not attending a fashion show, nobody who cares is gonna see you. And, once again, you're cleaning a TOILET: it doesn't care if you wear that ratty old t-shirt
2.) Use a toilet brush- I'm sure this is a given, but for those of you who are exceptionally naive, don't use a rag. A toilet brush is a highly useful and important tool in decreasing the discomfort of toilet cleaning.
3.) Use toilet bowl/bathroom cleaner- Once again, this should be a given. Ajax, Old Dutch, there's tonnes. Choose one. Soap just doesn't cut it. (I DO NOT know this from personal experience, I assure you. Speculation only.
4.) Keep your hair tied back if it's long- self explanatory
5.)Put on some lively music- You may as well have some fun. Sing along, dance around, use the toilet brush as a mic...(once again, no personal experience on my behalf. Mere suggestion.)
6.) Use your imagination- are you cleaning a TOILET or....FIGHTING A VICIOUS TOILET PAPER EATING SWAMP MONSTER?!?!
(Alright, it's strange, but I thought it was kinda funny... sweatdrop )

lol, it IS funny! I always wanted to know how to clean a toilet! DIE YOU MONSTERS OF THE TOILET ABYSS!!!! blaugh sweatdrop

LOL, my friend wanted me to put all of them in a book (I'd have to write quite a few more, of course!!)
I put my second one in my journal (they take up so much space on here... biggrin )
It is called "How to tell if you have an alternate personality"
(I used it on myself smile ) lol

hmmmm. I think my alternate personality is caused by Skittles. I do crazy stuff when high on Skittles. Like dancing around like crazy. And laughing like a maniac. My friend yelled dirty Japanese words at her boyfriend and told him to open his legs, and then crawled under his legs....to the other side. And then laughed and fell over.
No, you don't want to see my alternate personality....
Actually, I think all my personalities all are present at the same time, which causes an early onset of Alzheimer's....
I really scare my teachers. They always say, "What happened to her? At the beginning of the year, she was so PRISTINE. Now....I have no idea who she is!!! xp "
My alternate beings/personalities are great for screwing around with my teachers' minds.... heart

lol, that's funny! I remember the first time I ever went over to my friend's house, her little brother put a Cheerios box in the middle of the kitchen and danced around it and over it...it was bizarre...that was a way back in grade 4...I feel old eek

lol, that's what my friend did too, except for her boyfriend. And then she asked me if I wanted to dance with her.... sweatdrop

Here's my theory on how life is:
1. You're born
2. You grow up
3. You get old
4. You get older....
5. You die.
LoL, that's what another friend said to me when she realized that she was 14 not 13...........

Okay, people. We seriously need more people to join the contest! If no one joins...I won't go there. But I was asked to start the fanfiction section of the contest, but why should I if no one is entering the rest of the contest?
