"Cool, means that we have a mutual favorite!" He laughed, jokingly. "In all seriousness, if I have to chose a favorite person, I'd have to say it was you..." He ate his icecream slowly, not wanting to rush it, and he wasn't blushing, he had meant what he said in all honesty.
"Hey? You have a favorite book quote?"

Kethara looks over at him before closing the fridge, well he didn't run. So that was good in her eyes. Resting her back against the fridge she looks down at her feet thinking for a moment. Looking up she smiles "I have a two quotes I like actually." biting her bottom lip she thinks for a moment then nods "A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval. Mark Twain spokes these words. He also stated courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear." pushing off the fridge looks away for a moment.
"I have always lived by those words, but right now I'm uncomfortable in my own skin. And not because of you, because I'm scared I might chase away the first person I have ever truely liked then just a friend." she closed her eyes shaking her head "I did not just say that. Okay I think I better leave before I make a fool of myself." she slips past him making her way towards the door.

Lucius stood, icecream forgotten, and he moved to follow. "Hey... Wait..." His eyes were wide, there was fear in them, but none the less he charged forwards, figurativly of course; on a course of action that might could doom him to a long line of regret.
He felt it was a risk worth taking. Closing the gap between them he reached out and took hold of her hand. "Did you stop to think that it would be that easy to chase me off? Sure, some of the things you have done and said have scared me, and have shaken me up pretty bad, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like them to happen again..." He admitted, blushing a little now.
"I am flattered, no, more than flattered... Honored, that someone of your... aesthetic would be interested in prusuing a relationship with a cloistered, bookish, weak person as myself. Someone who, when faced with potential physical contact, curls up and hides himself in corners, behind large leatherbound tomes and tries to calm himself by seeking the fantasy of words on pages." He slowly let go of her hand. "I can honestly say that you are the first person I have ever found that I can stand for more than a few minutes and have a conversation that is outside of my family, and that is saying a lot. You are talking to the guy who spends a good ninty percent of his time in the library, reading books, because he has no friends. I would very much love to call you friend..." He looked away for a moment and took a deep breath. "And maybe, perhaps, one day, when... I am... cured of my ailment, something more..." He turned back and looked at her. "But not yet..." He sighed. "I'm just not ready for... that heavy a relationship... but I do want to spend time with you, be near you..." He chuckled weakly. "Could we perhaps... be very-very-very good friends?" His eyes were searching, wanting.
Just let her have his foot in the door, please! She had to understand that saying this much, opening himself up to her this much was killing him, was putting him in a position that he was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with, and that he was going out on a very long, very shaky limb here. He liked her, this much was true. He thought she was pretty, this too was an immutable fact.
"Let's go sit down..." He said motioning for the couch. "And talk a little longer, there is still much that we can talk about and the evening is still young..." He chuckled. "Then perhaps I can walk you home, and we can decided when we'd like to hang out again? Oh, and for reference..."
He took a deep breath, and then began to recite, "To this war of every man against every man, this also is consequent: that nothing can be unjust. The notions of right and wrong, justice and injustice, have there no place. Where there is no common power, there is no law; where no law, no injusitce. That is my favorite book quotation, from Thomas Hobbes."
He then bowed his head, and waited to see what would come of all this. He hoped she would stay and talk, he wanted to get to know her, he wanted her to help him... This would take time, and it would probably torture the both of them insanely, but in the end he felt, it would be worth the hard work, and massive effort, if it got him to be less of a hermit.

Turning when she felt his hand on her she looks up at him. The fear was showing very clear in her eyes. Looking away she listens to what he had to say her eyes falling close. She felt stupid for even thinking she scare him off. But then she also thought she was to straight forward for him.
Glancing back at him a small smile forms before she nods stepping back towards him. She knew it might have scared him, but she would deal with it later. Wrapping her arms around his neck she pulls herself close to him embracing him in a hug. "Thank you...and yes I want to talk, all night if you like."

Lucius smiled and moved over to the couch, after returning the hug. Though it made his alarm bells ring out. He chuckled weakly and sat down, leaning on the arm of it, looking over to her. "So... what to talk about?"

Taking a seat across from him she relaxes laying her head on her arm which was on the back of the couch, her feet tucked under her before she looks back at him. Her hair hid her face alittle "Beside reading what else do you like to do? I like swimming, or rock climbing. I think the best thing though is star gazing. Its fun to seat on a ledge and look up counting the stars." shaking her head she giggles alittle.
She rested her free hand in her lap. She didn't move it, she was allowing him to decide what would happen. If he wanted to hold her hand she wouldn't stop him. But she wasn't going to make a move either.

Lucius smiled and nodded his head, "Well... I like to erm..." He looked up at the roof and then sighed. "I guess I only like to read... I can't swim..."
Please oh please let her not ask about that!

Kethara nods then shakes her head "Alright so swimming is out. Maybe star gazing then, we can always to that the next time we meet. It would be fun, plus you forget everything going on around you. At least I do when I'm looking up at the stars." pausing she brushes her hair from her face.
Frowning she shakes her head before pulling it out of its braid. Combing her fingers through her hair she looks up at him "How about your favorite season? Mines fall believe it or not. Its fun to play in the leaves after they fell off the trees." she glance down as she continues to comn the hair out.

"Winter, more inside time," Lucius chuckled. "I can just stay inside and read if it gets too cold outside, or I can sit outside if It's a nice day," He smiles and looks up at the roof. "I would like to look at stars... Maybe next time..."
He hoped she would take control of the conversation a bit more... he was running low on ideas, and he sucked at it in his mind.

Nodding she smiles "Winter okay, but only because you can make snow angels. Then of course snowball fights are fun. I like winter because you can curl up with someone by the fire, or so I've read in books. I've never actually done it before. But I want to, curl up reading a christmas story while eatting cookies. That would be rather fun." with a shrug she lefts her hair alone before she rested her head on her arm once more.
"If you had to pick anything you could do, no fear what would it be?" her wings move slightly before going still again. Her hand was following the swirl pattern on her leg.

"Open myself up fully to someone," Lucius admited with a laugh. "The day that happens I think I will be albe to die happy," He sighed and closed his eyes, his hands resting on his knees. He was starting to get tired, and his shoulder was hurting a LOT now.

"Yeah..." He says nodding, he felt like total crud, he took her hand and kept holding it when he stood, feeling woozy as he stood.
Stupid bite! It was sapping his strength, he'd be lucky to get out of bed tomorrow is what he felt like. He'd save the being sick for when he got home. He pointed towards the door. "To Loki Nei!"

Seeing how he was acting Kethara frowns. Biting her bottom lip she gives up trying to give him space, wrapping her arm arouns his waist she place his other arm over her shoulders "Alright lets get you home before you pass out on me. Just lean on me, I promise you I'll get you home in one piece."
She holds him close as she makes her way towards the door. If he wanted to be let go she would do so. But as of right now she only had him in mind and that he made it home safe.

Lucius put a lot of weight agasint her, but he wasn't very heavy, he ate healthy but didn't have a lot of muscle or fat on him. He chuckled weakly. "Gah, I see that mother-fu... that guy again, I'm gonna bloody smash his face in sooo bad..." He grumbled, not feeling good at all.
Thankfully it would not take them long to get to his house, as it rested in the forest.
