beaufleur Jaaten Syric chikushou Jaaten Syric Only the author of the greatest (and most frequently misinterpreted) thread on ID ever! Chrisoya and I have made something of a career responding to oneliners in there... Really? The greatest? whee Are we including threads for ID? Because some of the half-assed, fallacy-riddled bullshit they spout can be funnier than your surgical dissection of the 'theory'... Hey, don't forget, I've dropped my two sense in there at times, until I got extremely tired of saying the same things over and over and over .... one of the reasons I've neglected ED for a few months now. I can only take so much ignorance. 'course you guys have your hard liquor .... heh .... Everyone needs there fuel for debate. Though if I wanted to stay up all night and debate I'd drink THIS!!:::

This isn't relevant, but I've recently had the desire to go to a pro-ID discussion and ask what the units of measurement for complexity are.

Would you mind asking how they come up with the statistics against evolution while you're there?

Gaia Name: Starlock Age: Born in '83. You smart people can do the math. Older than the avearge Gaia user, I'll put it that way. Education Level: Bachelors in Biology and Art, considering further structualized training Occupation: Currently in a conservation science/ecology related field Fields of Interest/Study: also took many psych courses in college, but as there was no psych minor at my school, I hold no minor. Studied and currently studying religion, with special focus in non-Abrahamic (esp. Neopagan) and comparitive religion. Also have a decent background in other Earth sciences. Have no formal training in philosophy, but I seem to have a knack for it and have done some personal inquiring in the subject. Currently Studying: working on getting a better understanding of the world religions, with a bit more emphasis on Eastern ones. I want to hit meteorology again sometime soon also, but with a full-time job, free time = limited. sad Other Hobbies: other than doing a butload of non-fiction reading, I also listen to podcasts regularly. At the moment, mostly science podcasts to keep me appraised of current going-ons. Also read fantasy/sci-fi novels and manga when I make excursions to book stores. I do art projects (mainly drawing) every so often. A bit too much time is spent playing computer and video games. Currently replaying Halo 2 on legendary as it's actually challenging enough to keep my attention (sadly, I lack Xbox live in my current residence setup).

(for PC) or Half-Life 2 (PC), those are hard games. Halo 2 is nothing. Also, have you ever heard of the author Kate Elliott? And finally, welcome. I'm the resident high-school smartass.

Play F.E.A.R on the hardest level, it's a challege. Halo's A.I is repetative and easy to track.

Jaaten Syric Would you mind asking how they come up with the statistics against evolution while you're there? I actually have to find one first. sweatdrop But, yes, if I ever do, I will ask them about that, and the statistics involving the existance of a deity. That's the problem with going to a school that's strong in the theoretical elements of math and science, though. No groups like that to insult. On the bright side, I just got a shirt that says, "That's all well and good in practice..." (flip to backside) "...but how does it work in theory?"

Oh, and I don't think that F.E.A.R. is on the Mac... and even if it was, my computer is too old to run a lot of this graphic-intense junk. I don't own my computer for games... that's what my console is for. Plus once you get out of college and into the real world you really don't have as much time for that kind of stuff anyway. xd
