Kaleb followed rather helplessly as Demyx pushed the makeshift boat ashore, and when Demyx trudged off he was torn in two directions. In any other situation he would likely stay with Bandages awhile to make sure she was safe, but if she was well enough to snap like that, she would probably be fine without his care.
He gave the angelic an almost despairing glance, before picking up his pace so he could catch up to his friend. Biting his lip and feeling more than a little useless, he reached out to touch the musician's shoulder. "Demyx..."

Bandages spread out her wings to let them dry faster. Her small body shivered, whether it was from the water being cold or from the expierance that had just happened, it wasn't quite clear to anyone but her. She would have been spiteful and yelled at them both, something like 'You were supposed to help me!' or 'I thought you were going to teach me how!', but now really didn't seem like the time. She didn't feel well now, Demyx looked sad, and Kaleb looked distraught. Curling her tail around her body trying to keep herself warm and calm she whimpered. Now she felt like apologizing, but they were the ones who had screwed up, not her. Saying anything now really seemed like a bad idea. The only thing she could think of doing was returning the desperate look to Kaleb and Demyx.

With a heavy sigh Demyx stopped, the hand on his shoulder an unwanted feeling at the moment.
"Kaleb...listen.....just.......go check on Bandages, alright?"
The sitarist shrugged Kaleb's hand away, walking forward a few more steps.
"Just...leave me alone, she needs more attention than I do anyway..."
Demyx gave a look over his shoulder that, despite how sad he looked, was evidence that he wouldn't be talked out of this decision. That finished, he continued his journey away from the two.

Kaleb bit his lip. He didn't want to go, he didn't want to leave Demyx so sad, but his friend had made it pretty clear that he wanted to be left alone. So instead of hugging his friend and trying to talk some sense into him, Kaleb just stood miserably as Demyx walked off.
With a heavy heart he headed back to where Bandages was sitting on the beach. "Why don't we go sit further up the beach?" he asked in a quiet, but not unkind tone. "It's probably warmer there."

Bandages picked herself up, hanging her head and following Kaleb further up on the beach. Once they got there she plopped herself down and burried herself halfway in the warm sand. "Do you think he'll be ok? I didn't want to sound mad at him but...I told you it would happen. And now it will take forever to get my wings dry again." Burrying her muzzle in the ground and streatching out her wings again she whined at Kaleb looking for some answers.

"Time time yes yes~ Ive observed the occurences and now i must make a deterrence. Not understanding how wet wings feel is a bliss, and now i shall make him understand... this i insist." Silent words where spoken to themself, there was no need for anyone to hear. The beach was open and spacey, but keeping to the tall sea grass's prooved to be a easy place to hide.
~A high pitched tone seemed to fill in and overpower the music playing on Demyx's headphones currently. Its so strong if he kept the headphones on, he would more then likely get a nasty headache.~

Ears flat and tears threatening to fall at any minute, Demyx was in a rather sorry state. He hadn't meant for any harm to come to the little angelic darnit! And he had rescued her as fast as he could... But...what if he had't been able to save her?
No.....he couldn't think like that. It was fine, really, and hopefully the little one would forgive him...eventually.
He didn't have much more time to dwell on it however, soon finding his normally happy music totally overpowered by a rather irritating high pitched noise. Biting back a yipe, the sitarist quickly clawed his headphones off his head and threw them to the ground. With the headphones went his color, his tan fur reverting back to white. Rubbing at his ears, still sensitive from the noise, Demyx blinked down at his headphones in confusion.
"What the?..."
It was a shame he never asked for a more specific account of what had happened to Nahira to change her, because if he had, he might have sensed what was coming.

Smirk adorning its face the shadey creature said nothing more and just snickered. Stupid creatures, whernt they?
With a flick of its tail the noise stopped on the headphones completly, and went dead silent. If they had been correct, the audio would plop the headphones back onto its head out of curiousity why the music had stopped. Task done, the creature twirled around in the large grasses and zoomed away. Being daytime Demyx would proberbly be able to see the grasses parting, Maybe even a tail?

Kaleb sat down beside her, and pulled his knees up to his scrawny chest. "I hope so, I don't like seeing him sad." He watched the waves for a bit, noting how they once again had resumed their usual pattern. He sighed before speaking again, in a tone that wasn't angry, or reproachful. "Of course you said your wings would get wet, but it was your decision to go in despite that." He smiled weakly. "I think you would have enjoyed your decision more if you weren't so certain it would end in failure."

Bandages whimpered at Kaleb again, he was right. "I don't want to go back in though. But I shouldn't have been mean, should I?"
Her ears perked. She felt something weird. No more name jokes. "Kaleb? Where'd Demyx go?"

It was a relief when the noise stopped, but it was also rather odd that his headphones ceased to make any noise at all. Still pretty confused, Demyx warily leaned down and retrieved his headphones. Mostly he was fearing hearing that noise again, though he honestly had other things to worry about.
The slight parting of the grasses caught his eye, and for a moment he allowed himself to study the area. Odd...was that...a tail moving around too? But then again they were on a beach, it could be any number of wild animal. And still, things were not clicking together in his mind. Besides, the tail was gone already and the grass was no longer moving. Time to move on....
Shaking his head, the sitarist set his headphones back in their usual place. Still no sound, weird...and his fur color didn't seem to want to come back immediately...even weirder... Demyx lifted a paw and tapped at his headphones a few times, seeing if that'd bring back the sound. It was a few more seconds before the worst pain he'd ever experienced wracked the body of the musician. So overpowered by the pain, Demyx managed to emit only one small whimper before collapsing to the ground. What the HELL was going on?! His entire body felt like it was on fire or something...hell this was worse than DYING! And the blonde never thought anything could be worse than that!
It was then that the fur color finally reappeared, the normal tan appearing, but his tail and ears turned...black? It was also probably a good thing he wasn't in his coat, because the massive wings suddenly growing from his back and the second tail would have really messed it up. Sometime during the course of the change Demyx screamed in pain. Now...Demyx was no stranger to danger, pain, or yelling for help...but this was way different than anything in the past. This was an absolute painfilled scream, most likely terrifying to anyone within earshot.
Minutes later the change was complete, the musician laying flat on his stomach on the sand, blood stained wings and tails laying limply. Everything HURT...he couldn't even think through the pain, and he needed help -now-. His tails and wings throbbed with pain, and the fur on his tails and ears felt tingley for some reason. which he'd later find out was the color change. Almost as an afterthought, a golden halo blinked into existance over the still body of Demyx.

Kaleb had barely opened his mouth to reply to Bandages when he heard the scream and felt a chill flood through his body. He shot to his feet and took off at a run in the direction he had last seen Demyx wandering, and in the direction from which the terrifying scream had come.
When he finally caught sight of his friend he skidded to a halt, and had called up his healing magic even before his skid stopped and his knees hit the sand. Both the sight of his friend in such a state, and that of the blood seeming to coat everything, hit him all at once and he scrunched his eyes closed as he struggled to avoid fainting.
"Demyx, you're going to be okay," he said in a near wail. Without opening his eyes he guided his magic to heal the newly created wounds. Although it would fix the damage and stop the bleeding, it couldn't fix what was new but not injured.

Bandages sprung to her feet and followed Kaleb quickly. When they found Demyx she was floored. Well...atleast now he'd know how she felt with her wings, a blessing and a burden.
She then looked at Kaleb. "W-why is he shining? What are you doing? People arn't supposed to shine!" Whining again she paded around to look at Demyx's face. She poked at his nose. "Get up get up, please get up?" she mewed at him pitifully.

"Mmrph....Kaleb? Bandages?"
Voice sounding rather groggy, Demyx slowly opened cloudy eyes to stare at the angelic poking at his nose. Get up? That was like...the last thing he wanted to do right now.
"No...no up...hurt..."
Yeah he wasn't making much sense right now, but his mind was still reeling from the pain so it was pretty hard to concentrate on anything else. Thankfully Kaleb was there to heal the wounds enough to stop the bleeding. That would surely help.
Demyx vaguely noticed that the music in his headphones was back...but it wasn't the same as before. He didn't have the strength to dwell on that right now though.

Once Kaleb was sure he had done all he could he forced himself to dispel the healing weave, although he didn't dare open his eyes. "D-Demyx, p-please say you are okay," the mage asked almost tearfully. "I-I'm so sorry for letting you leave! A-and I'm sorry I c-can't do more!" Kaleb blurted out almost right after, and bit his lip in an attempt to keep his emotions under better control.
