It was definantly from Zack. After he died Cloud aquired it.

About seeing Zack and Clouds scene...theres a short anime video on it...I forget what its called but its Zack and Clouds short storyline...another way of seeing it is, of course, by playing the game all over again ^^

in ff7 cloud took it from zack after he was shot. In Ac the movie takes place 2 years after the game so he kept all of his swords from the game. Thus giving him all the weapons in the movie. The one thing i want is the sword that he can put three together that would probably be the best thing on the game and maybe the coolest one.

The one thing i want is the sword that he can put three together that would probably be the best thing on the game and maybe the coolest one. The First Tsurugi is a completely new sword. It is made up of the 6 swords we see Cloud use throughout the movie. The main sword he uses, the Base Sword of the Tsurugi, is able to take on the other 5 pieces to create the final sword we see Cloud using against Sephiroth. That complete sword is the First Tsurugi. None of the swords seen in the movie except fot the Buster Sword marking Zacks grave were seen in the game.

wut a simple question he got it from zack after he was shot and took his sword and stabbed sephiroth. and as for the movie the first tsurugi is 6 swords (the sword he used against sephiroth)

lol thats a good pint but to be honest with you i didnt really read to much into the game i just enjoyed it. but how do you know that how he defo got it? confused

Theres an ingame extra scene that you can trigger after getting Cloud back. You just visit the Shinra Mansions basement again, and you see the whole Zack and Cloud scene.

That sword is like a idol to me! dudes, that sword is like a blessing for Cloud! it look bettr on zack but what the heck!

I'm gonna clear this up. I don't know if someone has said this or not because I didn't actually take the time to look at everyone's posts, but yeah. Anyways, Cloud got his sword from Zack. He got it when Zack and Cloud decided to break out of their mako tanks because didn't agree with what SOLDIER did to people. Cloud took in too much mako and was basically poisoned by it (his mind was all out of whack). (By the way, Cloud never made it into SOLDIER like he said he was going to and Zack was a 1st class SOLDIER). They hitched a ride on a truck and, when Zack and Cloud got out of the truck, they started walking and SOLDIER members tracked them down right outside of Midgar. They shot Zack until he died and decided to leave Cloud for dead since he was poisoned with mako. Cloud took Zack's sword and his uniform because he was ashamed that he didn't make it into SOLDIER and decided to lie to everyone and tell them that he did. For everyone that didn't understand what I just said, then you either didn't play the game to its fullest potential or you just didn't play the game at all. If you didn't play the game at all, then I pity you.

Where Cloud got his sword is told in the Cloud Strife: His Life thread thats an announcement. And its been said so...many...times...cant we just drop it already or is this thread just THAT addicting?

during the (actual) flashback in nibelhem, cloud also takes the sword from zack and attacks sephiroth
