Xumbra, I'm not denying the fact that he had some good ideas. I mean, even a broken clock is right twice a day but it's the things that made everyone else look around and go: "Uhm, that's not right at all."
The same thing happened with Pol Pot, Reverend Jones, and Slobodan Milosevic. It's sad that even after all these decades that people haven't caught on that if you don't kill a mass of people then you probably could stay as a dictator/ruler. I mean, Castro (as far as we know) has gotten a handle on killing groups of people'll get you screwed.

Hitler is a nutcase, but I don't think his mind was completely screwed the wrong way.

Yeah, I guess you can take that into consideration as well. Since when we did the Holocaust in English 2 this year, like we have in previous years, it struck that interest cord in my head again. I actually didn't mind paying attention and I actually liked English for that time period.

Oh, that reminds me of my English teacher, who had to grade some essays. The opening paragraph went something like this: "Everyone has goals; even Hitler had goals."
Yeaaah...this was when our teacher told us to never put Hitler in a thesis statement because it would sound bad to the (biased) people reading it.
