Entry: As Malachi pondered words for the assignment, he chewed on his pencil some. Should they be words about himself? About others? Just in general? He couldn't quite decide, but he started to spell out words as they came to mind.
He wasn't really sure if these were good enough, but he sure did try. Getting up, Malachi went to turn it in

She ran to the front of the classroom and turned in her assignment before booking it out of that boring place.

Lavi tapped his tiny little claws against the desk as he stared at his name on the paper before him. He didn't want to select the expected words, and he wanted them to mean something, even if it was just to himself. But how could he make that work?
Lavi examined his words on more time before nodding, then hopped ot his feet and went to hand it in.

Entry:Emmet, while he didn't mind Language Arts, wasn't too sure about this assignment. Sure, it was easy enough, pick words that shared the same first letter as each of the letters of his name, but his short name was full of repeating letters. At least it didn't have double T's too. He drummed his claws on his cheek as he set pencil to paper. Hmm.
Setting his pencil down, the Imp skimmed his paper. Huh, not too bad. He supposed it would do in a pinch and he was somewhat pleased that his assignment sort of made a sentence. With that, he got up and went to turn in his assignment.

Prompt Answer:A short story? That had happened to her? Sure, she could do that. And she knew exactly what she would write about.
I came home one day from school to find that there was someone sitting at our kitchen table. I didn't recognize them, but I could see from the back of them that they were a mutant--a child of October. They had just one wing, and it was a small one on their left side. I walked to the table and asked them who they were. They turned to look at me and I could see that they had no eyes. At all. Not even eyesockets. The skin dimpled a little where the center of the eyes should be, but there was nothing there but smooth skin. I admit, I was freaked out at first, but then he started to talk. He introduced himself, calling himself Histeol. He told me that he was my brother now.
I was skeptical at first, but not for long--Mom's wanted another child for so long now. She claims it's to keep me company, but I know it's for her benefit. And the boy seemed so nice, even if his appearance was startling. But I knew what that was like--my own appearance is startling as well. So I took his hand and lead him upstairs. "Come on," I said. "I'll show you to your room, and then I have some old stuffed animals that I think you'd like."
That was just a month ago, but I can definitely say that I love my little brother, and he's made our house so much happier and brighter. I can't wait to get to know him better as he grows up.
There, that should be enough. She wrote her name on the top of the paper and turned it in.
Prompt Answer:A significant event? From her own life? Eidil didn't know what event that could possibly be! She was too young to have had a big life event! Well, not recently, anyway...
The little Demon girl held her mother's hand tightly as they walked into a cool, dark room. The room was full of people, all jostling for space, but the little Demon's mother was able to edge her through to the front of the crowd. They had gathered around an open space around an Imp. The Imp was dressed in khaki clothing and held in their claws a tiny little creature. The creature moved its head around, gazing around the room. Its ears were enormous, its front legs splayed. Only they weren't front legs--they were wings! The Imp was talking about this little creature in a low voice, explaining to the zoo guests what it was and how it could see with those big ears. They talked about how the creature would fly around with perfect precision. Then it held out the creature to the little Demon girl to pet. She reached out a trembling blue hand to touch the creature in the Imp's hand. Its fur was soft and warm; its wings were covered in a fine layer of velvet. And when it looked up at her with those glossy black eyes, she knew she had discovered her favorite animal: the humble bat.
That was an important day. Eidil smiled at the fond memory and turned in the paper to Miss Lyra with a curtsey.

She enjoyed the class, and the task at hand sounded like it would be a delight! She wanted to use words that touched on her interests or at least meant things to her.
After finishing the final letter, she rocked back in her seat to reread her work. Satisfied with her efforts, she uncoiled her tail before rising to her feet and padding her way up to front of the class to turn in her paper to Miss Lyra.

~The first time that Dad took Maeva and I to a park to teach us how to play soccer was a pleasant day. The sun was shinning brightly, though there were a few clouds in the sky that where a puffy white, and there was a bit of a breeze coming through the trees.
We had set up in the soccer field and Dad had dropped the ball in the grass in front of us. He had patiently explained the rules for us, going back over the rules a few times if we had questions, and then showed us a few ways how to kick the ball.
Before he would let us try to kick though, he had us run around the field for a few laps and then he told us to do it again with kicking the air in front of us at random times. He claimed this would help us get a bit more used to running and kicking a ball at the same time. And you know, he was right. Always practice any sport with out equipment first, it helps you mentally prepare.~

When he was finished, he spotted a classmate had already done their work and he gave them a friendly smile and a wave.
When she was done, Nikora had sat back in her seat and beamed proudly at the filled in paper. Like she thought, piece of cake! She looked up after a moment and spotted a classmate waving and she smiled and waved back.

Wasn't sure who you meant, Nikora or Arya so I just picked one <3

The fallen scooted his chair a little closer to his classmate. He figured that since they were both done with the assignment, he could try to get to know her better. He wrote something down, then tried to casually (read: somewhat obviously) pass her the note.
Hi! You're pretty! Can we be friends?
Natsuko-neko
I would have been happy with either of your bbys <3 but Charmstar is especially happy that you picked Nikora.
Entry: The little chimera was quite proud of her vocabulary, though math was her real forte. Still, she knew a handful of big girl words, and some of them were even complimentary. She also had a rather high opinion of herself.

Amory paused, squinting at the space she had left blank. The other words had come to her easily enough, but finding one that started with R while also being either truthful or flattering was proving to be a challenge. Radical was just silly—something Oz would say. Rambunctious? Restless? Rainproof? All were technically true, but they hardly described her personally. She sat remarkably still, pencil in hand, for at least fifteen minutes, but nothing came to her. It was frustrating. She was frustrated. Alas, frustrated did not begin with R either.
With a scowl and a sigh she watched as freshling after freshling got up to hand in their work. They probably had stupid things on their papers like sunny or nice. Amory debated crumpling up her work, but after another fitful five minutes, she scribbled something in the space, hopped off of her chair, and smacked her paper onto the top of the pile. Her work was done. She wasn't looking back.
