Fey of Silver Light
Janis paled. "Hey, wait. You said I could easily turn back bef--" she started to protest again. However Cornelius sneezed all over her in that exact moment. She froze and any appetite she might have had disappeared. If fact she gagged. The stick muscus was ALL over her. How had he even gathered all this in that body?
This is what you get, Janis, for your inability to keep your nose out of things that don't concern you. she scolded herself.
She would have said more to Cornelius but she was too afraid to get the stuff in her mouth. It was hard enough to breath. So instead she sent him a glare that explained that she was NOT grateful for being sneezed on.

"Sorry..." Cornelius muttered before he let out a slight chuckle. He turned away swiftly and marched out of the house quickly wanting to leave before somehow Janis found a way to protest without speaking. She was covered in his snot and he assumed from her eyes she hated it.

Janis stood slowly, after he left. It made a disgusting squishing sound. She shuddered and walked to the sink. There was no way she was leaving this on. She went to the sink to wash as much as possible off.
Much to her dismay. It didn't wash anything off. She shuddered again and banged her fist on the counter. She was going to kill him.
So Janis was stuck here for at least half an hour until this dried. Yup, he was dead. She sat back down at the table, afraid to get anymore mucus anywhere.

After stepping outside he transformed into his draconian form and flew off towards his cave. Thirty minutes of flying brought him to it just outside Fensworth. The cave was about 80 feet high and more than big enough to fit him and a couple other dragons inside. He walked inside carefully sniffing around for traps the humans may have left and was lucky to find one. After looking around he found many of his things had not been touched as much as he'd feared. He grabbed a bookcase in his house with his fore hoof since he didn't have claws, he wasn't that kind of dragon and somehow managed to cradle it next to his chest. He was glad he was only 50 feet in length. Otherwise getting in and out of the cave would have been harder with the book case. He managed though and was back at Janis's house in the next thirty minutes.

Janis had picked the last of the dried mucus off of her skin. Her hair was hopeless and her clothes could be burned. But her kitchen was a nightmare. She groaned at the thought of cleaning it.
She'd waited half an hour for this to dry, only getting up to rake out her food. She was starting to regret that as her stomach rumbled. There wasn't as much coming off as she'd thought there'd be. She hated to think it had soaked in. Even if it was good luck it was still gross.
Now Janis was in the tub letting the hot water soak into her skin and scrubbing up thoroughly with a rough loofa. She wanted to be absolutely spotless and maybe knock off the skin scrubbing from the list. Her skin was already a slightly irritated pink.
"Down by Kilarny's green pastures we did stray. The moon and the stars, they were shinin'~." she hummed softed to herself as she bathed.

Cornelius put the book case down in the front yard and quickly transformed back into his human form to avoid the suspicion of people walking by Janis's home. He saw none and lifted the book case with ease up the steps of her home and into the house. When he stepped inside he heard the sounds of humming and saw that a door was closed.

"Aw," Cornelius thought sweetly as he put the bookcase down next to a corner of the house, "Janis must be bathing. I better not disturb her since she's mad at me and probably doing her best to become a dragon like me."

Janis scrubbed her feet hard. She couldn't believe how much skin built up there. She shouldn't have neglected taking care of them for so long. After ward she just let herself soak for awhile.
After awhile she got out. She pulled on a soft cotten dress that wouldn't irritate her now sensitive skin. She sighed in a depressed way. Her kitchen... time to clean it.
Janis's stomach growled loudly. Another thing to add to her list. Lunch.

Cornelius watched Janis come out of the bath room in a towel and admired how much she seemed to glow now that her skin was super clean. He heard a growl come from her stomach and said, "Are you hungry? If so then you don't need to worry you can actually eat some meat raw if you'd like. I also brought the book case I had at my former house here." He pointed to the corner where he placed and then walked over to it and put the book he'd been carrying with him for a while on it.

Janis looked at him and then the shelf and smiled sweetly. "Wow. It's a nice shelf. It's about time I got more furniture." she commented calmly, stepping up beside him.
Her hand flew up and she smacked him upside the head. "That is for sneezing on me without warning." she did it again. "And THAT is for making a mess of my kitchen." She nodded with a satified humph and smiled. She wasn't one to hold onto anger of long.
"I don't think I'm ready to eat raw meat yet." she told him in response to his earlier suggestion. She'd hit her gross limit. "I do have a few questions. At first you said I'd be able to turn back easily after becoming a dragon. But now you say I'll be one forever." she said quietly, looking troubled. "Which is true?"

Cornelius realized that he had said that and answered, "The first one is true. Unless you somehow become pregnant. Any female turned into a dragon has about a week or two to decide whether to stay human or dragon. In their dragon form they'll have to learn how to sit on eggs. In their human form it's almost like a normal pregnancy, but there are some notable changes later on. You don't intend to become like this though I know."

Janis looked around her house and shook her head. "Cornelius? Have you ever felt completely lost?" she asked out of the blue. "I know, I shouldn't be asking but... I've felt like that most of my life. This opprotunity you've given me is one more chance to... to not feel that way." she confessed.
She immediately turned red and covered her mouth. Had she really just said that to him? What was she thinking!
"I-I-I shouldn't have said that." she stuttered.

Cornelius rubbed his cheek and still felt the burn from her slap when she hit him.

"I have left completely lost..." Cornelius stated as he glanced at her and saw the red on her cheeks it was comforting she was a bit open to him. She seemed like a closed up chest at time. "My father and mother died when the humans attacked my cave. I just went there now and somehow all my stuff's still there, but they're-they're gone and they're not coming back." He accidentally let some tears fall from his eyes and showed more emotions than normal.

"That's why... I'm out looking in the world for a partner or wife since I'm scared to be the only dragon left in the world. I'm glad you've taken this upon yourself, but no matter what happens don't let what happens bother you." he stated.

Janis looked up at him. Seeing him cry hurt her too. She reached up almost unconciously to wipe them from his cheek with her thumb.
"I won't. I promise." she said softly, studying his face. She wasn't exactly sure what she was looking for. "You're lucky, you know that? You had a wonderful family and ones who loved you. They maybe gone now, but at least they are still with you." She smiled. "So you are never completely alone."
She looked around the room. She was uncomfortable being so open. Too long had she closed herself off from most people and put on the smiling mask.
"I'd better get to cleaning." she mumbled and went to gather hot water and rags from the kitchen.

Cornelius followed her to the kitchen after hearing their words, they were quite inspiring, and stood there kind of dumbfounded since he'd never done any cleaning in the kitchen. He was a young dragon and dragons didn't really have to clean their areas too much, or well, it didn't take as much effort as a human's place would. He wanted to transform and help out but realized how stupid that was instantly.

Janis put the bucket on the floor and knelt down. He looked up at Cornelius and raised a questioning eyebrow. "If you want to help, just grab a rag." she stated.
She dipped her own rag in the hand water, flinching a little as it burned her still slightly sensitive skin. She used to rag to wipe up as much of the dried mucus as possible before rinsing it again.

Cornelius grabbed a rag from the bucket and bent down to the floor. He swept it's wet surface across the wooden floor boards and silently helped Janis clean up the mess he caused. He was truly sorry for it by this point and time.
