 It freaks them out because I am a freak of nature Saiga. Kat said a smile playing on her lips. She heard the sound of laughter and watched as a man appeared. She saw the instant reflex of Saiga reaching for his weapon. She smiled inwardly and placed a clawed hand on his shoulder. She looked at the newcomer, the tip of her tail twitching. My name is Katsumi. Who might you be?

"I'm from... Daiurn. That is the light branch, " he said and demonstrated a small lightning sparkle appearing when he snapped his fingers. He grinned, and had a lively sparkle in his eyes.
Then he looked at the halfling girl with curiously. She was not like the dragons that he had seen. Normally dragons had a dragon form and a human form. This female didn't seem to posses that ability, so Rie thought that it was obvious that she was some sort of dirty mixture.
"So, you have dragon blood in you, right? Right?" the boy asked her.

After a slight pause, he glanced back at the boy with yellow eyes, the one he didn't like. "That is right, yeah? That's one of those things people still ask each other? Y'know, I don't really know any of the slang that happens anymore or anything. Hell, I don't even know if the slang I used even ever existed here, to be honest..." He shrugged, glancing between everybody. "Excuse the whole... I dunno. I'm a bit rusty with the 'human...'" He paused, remembering the dragon woman behind him. "Ahem, the whole 'interaction' thing. It's been a while since I talked to people," he reasoned, glancing between all of them. "So... What's everybody's names?"

Kat glared at him. He was obnoxious and rude. Her grip tightened on Saiga's shoulder, her claws slightly digging into his skin. She nodded her head with a quick jerk. Correct. My mother is a fire dragon.

x↯x "I seeee~ How interesting. You see, I've seen lots of dragons before, but you, lady, seem to be very unique!" he said and investigated the halfling and the kitsune with his eyes. This woman was a freak.
In fact, he was an ancient dragon himself, just like the Nocturn leader. That, however, was none of these people's business, so they did not need to know. These people were unable to understand such things anyways. They were unable to sense these fine details.
And it's not like it that mattered right now, anyways.
Then someone appeared, and disturbed their conversation. A surprise? No. This was not a surprise. He likes surprises, you see.
Rie laughed. The laughter was very relaxed and casual this time.
"Hehehe~ Where did you come from? And since you asked, I'm kinda bored. Really bored. Ah, and the name's Rie," he explained to Alex and smiled at him, too.

 Saiga could tell Kat was growing irritated with this man and looked up at her. He looked back at the boy and placed his hand on his katana again. "your branch is trained to hunt down mine...how am I supposed to trust you Rie...?"he asked, raising his guard again. Saigas eyes grew redder as a faint growl escaped him.

Kat turned her head looking at the newcomer. She liked him instantly. He had a smartass-ness about him. She cocked her head to the side trying to figure out where he had come from. My name is Katsumi, it is a pleasure to meet you, what is your name? She asked the new comer sweetly, curling her tail around her feet. She released Saiga's shoulder and relaxed visibly.

Saiga felt Kat relax, but he himself remained tensed since she hadn't told him to relax. He watched the man cautiously, not taking his eyes off him.

"Me? Hunt you? Don't worry, I'm not like that! I'm not even listening to the Daiurn leader! Let's say that I'm almost like his worst enemy right now," he assured and patted Saiga's head gently.
In fact, he was telling the honest truth.

Because telling the truth was the best way to lie.

Just like Saiga has a master, Rie has a master too. And now the boy was wondering how would his master react if he would see a creature like Katsumi.

Kat lowered her head down so she could whisper in Saiga's ear. Relax Kitsune, he means us no harm She whispered gently, wrapping her tail around one of his legs in a caressing gesture. She looked at Rie and cocked her head to the side. If you don't mind my asking. Exactly what are you?

Kat's eyes widened in surprise. You. You're a dragon? She scoffed. You must be one of the dragons my mother told me about. The true dragons who chose to live as humans. I have never met one before. It truly is an honor to meet you Sir. Kat said, her tone changing as she bowed her head in respect.

Saiga looked at Kat as she told him to relax. He sighed and allowed his hand to drop from his katana. He bowed respectfully to Rie. "I apologize for my actions, I didn't know you were against the teachings of the Dairun leader. Its a pleasure to meet you Rie"he said. It was hard for him to trust Rie, but since Kat had told him to relax, he had to obey. There was only one thing he hadn't told Kat about the contract, if he disobeyed her, the seal would punish him severely. Saigas ears perked up as Rie mentioned he was a dragon. He looked at Kat and tilted his head.

It was not actually a big secret, but still only rare individuals knew about it. The other thing that only a few knew that the Original dragons were the pure elements in their raw form.
Hazen Yami, the Nocturn leader, was "Darkness".
Rie, the boy standing here, was "Thunderstorm".
And Rie's master, who he respects over all, was something even mightier.
"My master will be so pleased, when he hears that I made friends," he said and laughed a bit.
Indeed, by respecting him, one respected his master too. He was as loyal to his master as he could - he would never take any credit. It all belonged to his master.

Kat's eyes widened and her ears perked. She glanced at Saiga. Master? She said questioningly. She adjusted her stance, standing closer to Saiga. Her senses were on full alert, there was something.. wrong.. about the way he said master. She let her thoughts fly back through her memories, trying to recall anything she was taught. Her mother's voice popped into her head. Some of the pure dragons, if born into an elemental family they will enlist their services to a higher power, becoming their assistant. The assistant are just as lethal and cunning as the masters. Always be on your guard.
