Adam nodded as if aware of Haydon's condition. "Yes." he agreed. "She is not human, but you already knew that didn't you." he said before continuing. "All I can tell you right now is that when she was born-" he hesitated at the word 'born' because it didn't exactly happen that way. Adam flinched at the gruesome memory. "When she was brought into this world, her powers were suppressed, along with the true nature of her race. She was basically turned human. This was done so no one could find her, she would be hidden." there were huge holes left in this story, but Adam didn't have time to fill them in. "What Haydon really is, her true nature." he paused for a moment. "I wasn't meant to be caged." he explained with a slight shake of his head. "The reason for her sleepless nights, her nightmares? Her exhaustion? Its because she's fighting to break out of the cage she was imprisoned to at birth. And her power has grown. It is growing." he corrected himself. "You don't cage a beast, because when it breaks out, it comes with a rage much to great." he explained, it was obvious that this subject was very sensitive to him, he appeared to be beyond upset about it. "I cannot tell you anymore. If you want answers you'll have to go to Meg." he said. "I will take you to her later if you wish." he offered before he sensed a presence enter the school. "She's here." he said before dashing off the roof, Meg at the school was never a good sign.

Meg entered the infirmary as the school nurse explained Haydon's condition. "I see...Why don't you wait outside for me dear?" the woman did not question it, she left the room as Meg closed the door securely so no one could look in. "Ahh. Haydon, I knew I'd be coming here because of you one day." she said as she looked down at a green looking Haydon who was curled up on a bed. Haydon looked at the small female and knew her well. "Meg." she greeted in a shaky voice. Meg was Haydon's doctor. Meg came closer and noticed that the girl had begun to sweat as if she was running a marathon and her cheeks were flush with a dangerous fever. Meg quickly made Haydon sit up the best she could and made her drink something, similar to what she had given Adam this morning. "You two are so much alike." she mumbled like an amused mother before she sensed Adam coming down to the infirmary.

Meg watched as Ariyo came in and went straight to Haydon's side, then she turned to see that Adam was not looking well himself. A frown came to the fairy's, the boy's condition was due to something much different from Haydon's. "Their getting closer." Adam nodded before Meg's attention was back to Ariyo as he asked what he could do for Haydon. Haydon closed her eyes just before Ariyo came in, some how she knew he was coming. When she herd his voice she grunted a little. "You can start by stop calling me 'Miss'." she grumbled when he asked how he could help. Meg gave a laugh before addressing the boy. "Right now we need to get her to my house so I can work without human intrusion." she told him before walking out of the room to inform the office that Haydon, Ariyo, and Adam were coming with her. When she came back in she looked a little hesitantly at Haydon, knowing that she was not going to like what she was about to suggest. "She'll need to be carried." Haydon reacted instantly by quickly moving away from the others and huddling in the corner of the bed. "No one's going to touch me." she growled lowly. Meg gave a sigh before shooing Adam out of the room, telling him to go get things ready at the house before turning back to Haydon and Ariyo. She knew the boy could possibly be they only one to convince her to change her mind, other than Bryan but Meg didn't think Bryan should know about this event. "Could you get her to reconsider?" she asked Ariyo before moving to the door. "I'll be waiting outside." she said, Meg knew that Haydon would only be resistant if she was in the room, if Ariyo was with Haydon one on one she might be more cooperative. Haydon watched as the others left before her eyes were on Ariyo. "don't touch me." she warned. Her face was damp and flushed and there were dark rings under her tired green eyes, which never left Ariyo as she took shaky breaths.

Haydon froze at the boy's touch and almost jerked away but suddenly found some sort of comfort or calming sensation come over her. When Ariyo moved to pick her up she attempted to get away with a protesting yell but it was a weak attempt. Then the blanket over her head made her pause with a frightened gasp, the close space beneath the fabric and the darkness made her heart beat franticly as she began to shake a little. Quickly Haydon found the fabric of Ariyo's shirt and gripped it with iron hands as if it was the only thing that would save her from the dark world beneath the blanket. When he spoke again, his voice calmed her, she wasn't alone, this wasn't one of her nightmares, she was going to be ok. It wasn't till after calming down that Haydon realized something else was clutched in her hand other than the material of Ariyo's shirt. Just beneath the cloth was something small that hung on a chain, her grip on the object loosened when she realized that it was warm and pulsating rapidly. Hearing Ariyo speak to the others, her fingers gripped around the object once again, finding its warmth comforting and calming. The small dark space under the blanket scared Haydon a little, she didn't like being closed in. She didn't like being caged. The thought made Haydon's head hurt and a her heart felt tight, like she couldn't breath.

Meg smiled as Ariyo came out with Haydon, her head covered with the corner of a blanket. She didn't think the girl liked that to much, Haydon never liked being in small or close spaces and Meg knew why. She nodded. "Fine." she said before leading the way out of the school. Adam looked at the blanket over Haydon's head with a startled expression before following his foster mother out of the school.

Haydon kept a tight hold on Ariyo's strange necklace under his shirt even after the blanket was removed from her face. Her head felt like it was on fire but as soon as she began to breath the fresh air and she was no longer in darkness, Haydon could feel the coolness of the outdoors deviate her temperature. She took in slow and deep breaths until she felt better, then sudden peck of a kiss to the top of her head made a funny felling creep up on her, she wasn't sure if it was a good feeling or not. Hearing Ariyo's attempts at comforting her, Haydon looked up. "Ariyo." she said as they turned down the street that Meg and Adam lived on. Her face damp with sweat and flush from her fever, her eyes clear and focused. She waited for his reply before she would continue.

Haydon made a face when he began to dab at her face with the blanket but she didn't look away from him, then for some reason her mind changed and her green eyes broke away form his face. "You talk to much." she said instead and rested her head against the hand that clutched his chain. For some reason she couldn't let go of the small object. Meg finally lead the way up to the house and held the door open for the other three. "Come children." she said in a teasing tone as if mimicking an impatient mother. Her eyes stayed on Haydon for a moment as they passed, Haydon also looked back at Meg, she suddenly not only felt but knew that the small doctor was keeping some sort of secret from her. Haydon was to tired to suddenly burst out at the woman so instead she just closed her eyes as if she were going to fall asleep. Adam then told Ariyo to follow him to the guest room upstairs.

Eyes still closed Haydon was to tired to restrain a small smile from her face. "I don't know what your talking about." she murmured sleepily before she was placed on a soft surface, she could only guess it was a bed. She pretended not to know what Ariyo was talking about but in truth she did know and her unhidden smile gave that away rather easily. Adam watched Ariyo lay next to Haydon before he went to retrieve Meg, a moment later the woman came through the door with a helpless expression. "I fear the only thing that will help her at the moment is some sleep." she informed with a glance at the sleepy Haydon. "It seems she doesn't need to be told." Meg smiled before looking back at Ariyo. "You don't need to stay." she suggested but thought she knew he would anyway. As soon as Haydon felt Ariyo lay next to her she quickly released her iron grip over his shirt and the object beneath it before slightly moving away. As soon as she did this, the comfort and calmness he had given her seemed to slip away and she gripped at the blankets just as she had done to his shirt. Her heart beat got faster and she curled into a tight ball. At first she was trying to fight off the lingering urge to sleep but she seemed to be slipping anyway. "I'll go make something to give her after she's rested for a while." Meg said before disappearing downstairs again with Adam.

Haydon wasn't going to fight with Ariyo, partly because when she was pulled back to him she began to clam down once again. Her breathing became slow and even as her heart slowed to a steady beat. Half asleep now, Haydon rolled over to faced Ariyo, it took some effort to open her sleepy eyes. "Have we ever met before?" she asked quietly, the boy was so familiar to her and she was just realizing it now, when she was dead tired and slightly out of it. Haydon wasn't aware of half of what was coming out of her mouth. "I feel like I've known you forever." she mumbled with a yawn before her eyes slowly blinked shut again. Soon she fell asleep not caring that Ariyo was right there, not now. But later when she came to her senses she most likely wouldn't approve of this whole even, not one bit. In her sleep, Haydon rested her head over the spot where Ariyo's charm was near his chest.
