"Magic is what I call it. Paula calls it hard work." Jessica started taking out all the photos nd kniknacks and trophies setting them all over the desk wihout a thought. She'd get them all out then would position them. There were eight trophies in all. Two for lacross, one for basketball, one for the science fair, one for soccer, one for swimming, one for cross country and one for a dog show. "I still couldn't bring a lot of things but I can live" She said, setting down the last snowglobe.

"Ah...so...you have a person to do this stuff for you?" Tom said, making the bed as neatly as possible. Meanwhile Dr.Alexander walked in a bit of a huff to one of the smaller buildings, they sat in a cluster. Alexander sighed as he entered into the Literature and Arts building, "Were getting new staff...god help us...first stop, Ms. Fifield" His voice was harsh and bitter, filled with unknown hate.

Today was the day; the day Eireen could finally begin the job she longed for. As much as she had yearned for it, there was still an uncertainty; would she be able to successfully teach the students the state requirements? Could she influence the students and spike their hidden interests in the arts?
As she sat there in the empty classroom she buried her head slightly in her arms, taking it all in. She was a bit overwhelmed by the responsibilities she would have to undertake, as well as some of the risks. Yet beneath it all stood one positive thought; she could help change a students future. Maybe one would become an art teacher as well or possibly an artist?
Chuckling slightly at the absurdity of her thoughts she picked up her head, surveying the classroom. Like any other classroom, it was a bit dull. Old posters of previous lessons hung on the walls, several desks and tables stood scattered; the usual. She could already tell that re-doing the room to her standards was going to be a bit of a challenge, especially with the budget she was given; she would have to invest wisely.
Luckily there was one bonus to the room, there were some sets of large windows which could allow sunlight into the dreary chamber. Looking out she felt a wave of warmth engulf her, sending shivers up the back of her spine. "This is going to be an interesting year," she said quietly, closing her eyes to rest for a moment; unaware that she was about to meet another teacher. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Alexander came in with a woush of the door, his long flowing hair fallowing the artificial wind. His eyes were unforgiving, slightly sheathed by his glass's, a small glint of the sun of the rim of his glass's. "Mrs. Fifeld?" He spoke shortly and harsh as he closed the door quickly and walked towards her. His lab coat passed along with stray desks as he made himself a path.

Squinting in the rays of sunshine she looked up slightly to see another teacher in the doorway of her classroom. Startled, she quickly rose from her seat and stood up, blushing from embarrassment. She wasn't expecting company so soon.
Nevertheless, she was curious as to why he visited her. "Yes?" she asked quickly, looking up and surveying her new guest. Judging from his lab coat he appeared to be the science teacher; why would he want to speak to her though? She would have assumed it was a friendly greeting but the tone in his voice told her otherwise; it felt more like a confrontation. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

"Everything but school work really." Jessic wouldn't mention the rich part for as long as possible. She stated aranging the things on her desk the way she liked. Trophies catching most of the attention then the photos placed in a neat pile. The knickknacks just in the places needed to be filled.

Tom eyebrows raised up "Really now?" The pieces were falling into place about how she acted, he finished up the bed, folding in the sheets. "Done...Want me to start on something else?" he smiled a bit. Alexander register the blush of the art teacher with a slightly softer voice "Welcome to Sparkton" He takes out an almost skeletal hand come form his coat pocket, he held it out for a shake but kept talking " Your new here, and the other, more seasoned teachers, are glad that you are here" His voice was an sad attempt at sounding kind

"Let me finish this then we could get the posters up." Jessica said, smiling a bit. Maybe Tom would really stick around. She hadnt spentc this much time with a guy since the break up. After fiddling a bit with everything on her desk she turned back to Tom, looking him over a bit to finally see his features. Strangly enough she hadnt really looked at him yet.

Tom sad on the bed, waiting for Jessica to finishing, he was smiling just a bit. He was a bit of a nerdy looking kid, but a cute, nonthreatening nerd. "Ready?"

"If the posters don't scare you then yes!" Jessic had to admit the Hostile posters werebkinda scary. The movies were horrific in a good way. Nothing like a good bone chiller. Tom was kinda cute but that only passed in her mind for a second. The voice wouldn't shut up. "I get it I can't open up to him can you just shut up?!" Was her thought. Her face sjowed nothing of the inner turmoil except for her eyes. She could catch a Great White, bwhy couldn't she make a friend?

Feeling a little more at ease, her posture relaxed at the sudden change in his voice. Maybe he was a bit too excited at first? Or perhaps those years of teaching had given him a more assertive voice then she was used to?
"Thank you, I'm honored to have received the job," Eireen responded with a slight smile as she accepted his handshake. A bit fidgety from talking to someone she quickly added to relieve the tension, "with jobs so hard to come by these days I was almost certain I wouldn't be able to find one." Letting go of his hand she made a gesture to the room around her, "Odd how things turn out." ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Tom smiled "Lets hope so" he took the Saw poster. "Where do you want this one to go?" Tom asked as he mowed Jessica over in his mind trying to figure out more about her, he looked in her eyes, something strange was in there. Alexander then sighed a bit hating the moment "Well, i'm here to tell you about some of the norms of Sparkton...The science teachers have meetings on the weekend in the gardens, its held only by science teachers, sorry" He tilted his glass's back to his eye height "Sparkton is bit of a hermit, never comes out of the office, don't be to worried about him" His voice when back to a harsh and angry tone.

"How about your room so you can leave me alone" Was the inner voices answer. Jessicas was a lot nicer "Probably right there please."She pointed to the wall near the closet door. Reminder of harsh suprises every morning!

Unsure of how the last statement was relevant she rose her eyebrow slightly, puzzled. It was kind of him to tell her the useful information but the way he said the last part was odd. Perhaps he had some personal animosity toward Mr. Sparkton? Or was he bored of her already?
Frowning slightly she looked up to him, thinking of the right thing to say. He was definitely a perplexing character, even a bit pompous. The way he mentioned of the meeting for science teachers only made her think that he felt superior to her; that she was beneath him due to her field of teaching. Now a bit irritated she responded back shortly, "I'll be sure to keep your information in mind."
Getting that off her chest for now looked she down slightly, avoiding eye contact. She knew it would be appropriate to ask him her own questions but she had so many she wasn't sure where to start. Luckily a certain question kept prodding her; he mentioned that Mr. Sparkton never came out of his office. She always thought it was part of the headmaster's job to visit classrooms, observe teaching methods, review instructional objectives, and examine learning materials. If he was cooped up inside his office all day he wouldn't be able to successfully operate in his field of work.
Collecting her thoughts she shifted her eyes back over to him, "I understand Mr. Sparkton must be busy managing the school and such, but isn't it part of his job to set the academic tone and work actively with teachers to develop and maintain high curriculum standards?" ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
