Helki cried out when he collapsed and quickly moved to his side. She could smell the blood and lowered her head to his, rumbling low and quietly in her throat at him. She nudged him gently before laying down beside him. She wasn't sure what to do as she laid her head down and watched him.

Heavenly Snow Helki cried out when he collapsed and quickly moved to his side. She could smell the blood and lowered her head to his, rumbling low and quietly in her throat at him. She nudged him gently before laying down beside him. She wasn't sure what to do as she laid her head down and watched him. Xalcorsh's breathing was heavy, and his brow beaded with sweat, apparently the creatures claws were poisoned, and it was effecting him. He opened his eyes and pointed to the forest. "Find. . .plant. . ." he winced and took a deep breath "blue flowers. . .purple leaves. . .is near. . .fallen logs. . ." he finished speaking and his eyes closed as he focused on conserving his energy.

She snorted and got to her feet, she shook herself off and trotted away in the direction he pointed. Over and over in her mind she repeated, "Blue flowers, purple leaves, fallen logs, blue flowers, purple leaves, fallen logs." She turned her head this way and that as she moved through the underbrush. It didn't take long for Helki to find the fallen logs. She looked over them and between two she found what she was looking for. Carefully Helki picked them and placed them in her mouth before returning to Xalcorsh's side. She nosed him gently and placed the plant on the ground.

Heavenly Snow She snorted and got to her feet, she shook herself off and trotted away in the direction he pointed. She looked over them and between two she found what she was looking for. Carefully Helki picked them and placed them in her mouth before returning to Xalcorsh's side. She nosed him gently and placed the plant on the ground. Xalcorsh stirred and reached for the plants, gripping them tightly then eating them with an expression of distaste. "Normally. . .I. ..would make. . .a poultice. . .but no fire.. .no time." He said between spasms as the poison flowed through his veins and the hastily consumed antidote began to counter it.

She snorted in reply and shook her head. She backed up and looked around, checking her surroundings. So far it was clear and she didn't feel like something bad was going to happen. Her feathers rustled as she shifted her wings and settled them back into place.

Heavenly Snow She snorted in reply and shook her head. She backed up and looked around, checking her surroundings. So far it was clear and she didn't feel like something bad was going to happen. Her feathers rustled as she shifted her wings and settled them back into place. Xalcorsh was unconscious for the better part of an hour before he stirred, opening his eyes and attempting to stand, his back was healing already, but he was weak from the effects of the poison and could only barely stand, constantly looking as if he was about to topple over. "We can't stay. . ." he croaked in a horse voice, his eyes looking around warily.

In the shadow of a tree, Helki laid looking incredibly regal and elegant, her eyes watched him unwaveringly, but her ears clearly took note of her surroundings. She didn't respond to him as he struggled to stand and move. The sun was high in the sky and the birds had been twittering their songs for some time now. A low rumble sounded in her throat, her tail flicking with predatory leisure.

Heavenly Snow In the shadow of a tree, Helki laid looking incredibly regal and elegant, her eyes watched him unwaveringly, but her ears clearly took note of her surroundings. She didn't respond to him as he struggled to stand and move. The sun was high in the sky and the birds had been twittering their songs for some time now. A low rumble sounded in her throat, her tail flicking with predatory leisure. He winced as he took a step towards her and began to pant heavily, the poison had sapped most of his strength, but he ignored it and at least made it to the tree where she was. "Though, perhaps, resting would be the wisest choice. That poison was more potent than I thought."

Her eyebrows, for lack of a better word, raised at his comment. She gave a sharp puff of air out her nose and allowed her gaze to leave him at last. Suddenly she stilled and her head bobbed like a cat have sighted something. She moved to a crouch before suddenly exploding into action, taking off into the trees. A cry of alarm sounded through the trees and then all was silent. It was some time before sounds of Helki coming back was heard. But sounded as if she was dragging something. And she was when she reappeared.

Xalcorsh was resting with his back against a tree, and he opened his eyes when Helki returned, glancing to see what she had caught, but otherwise not moving much as he was in truth, to exhausted to do so.

Helki laid down with her kill not far from Xalcorsh. It was a deer-like creature, prey, and Helki had caught it with ease. She looked quite pleased with herself and she tore into the carcass, rumbling lowly with killer delight at filling her stomach. Her pupils dilated to huge saucers.

Heavenly Snow Helki laid down with her kill not far from Xalcorsh. It was a deer-like creature, prey, and Helki had caught it with ease. She looked quite pleased with herself and she tore into the carcass, rumbling lowly with killer delight at filling her stomach. Her pupils dilated to huge saucers. Xalcorsh merely nodded, and slept while she ate, taking the time to rest further, he knew that he would need the rest of the day to recover his strength, but he at least wanted to be able to move away from the now destroyed town.

Helki ate her fill leaving nothing but a few bones, fur, and the hooves behind. She licked at herself, grooming the fur as best she could now, but it still was stained with the blood of the animal. She got up and moved over to him, her head was really low and she nuzzled him. She moved to be beside him and lowered her front half down.
"Get on."

Heavenly Snow Helki ate her fill leaving nothing but a few bones, fur, and the hooves behind. She licked at herself, grooming the fur as best she could now, but it still was stained with the blood of the animal. She got up and moved over to him, her head was really low and she nuzzled him. She moved to be beside him and lowered her front half down.
"Get on." He nodded gratefully, and climbed on, trying to find a comfortable position without hindering her movement and then relaxing on her back. "Thank you. . ." he said as she started to move, "I suggest finding a cave or somewhere we can stay for a while."

She trotted away from the remains of the village back on their journey. Slowly she worked up into a comfortable trot, not having been ridden before, it was odd but she over came it.
"I will try and find a place for you to rest. But first...I shall cover some lost ground."
Her trot turned into a faster and faster pace, making sure that he did not fall off.
