Well there was no turning back now. Here Reed was walking with a man he just met to see the town. Well no use in being dramatic. It wasn't bad. It was a nice day, and the guy truly was doing Reed a favor. He hadn't gotten a chance to really meet anyone yet. Only had been here for a couple days. Most of which included walking around aimlessly or unpacking stuff at the house. It actually felt good to be out of the house. He could see why Alt wouldn't want to come home. It seemed like a pleasant place after all. Though her really wish that kid was their at the house to watch Erika. He trusted the lady but Erika...
She was worth worrying about. But hopefully she wouldn't be to bad. For now Reed should just enjoy the walk and get a feel for the town. It wouldn't be bad to get a few connections with the locals. He didn't plan on moving anytime soon, so he might as well become part of the community. While the two men walked, Reed turned his head to the other. He assumed he was a farmer, why else would he have brought turnips? Let alone seeds. He liked that though, something about a job that makes you work hard was enticing. But that was besides the point, "So where we headed Mr. Turner?"

Ah, to be outside! Under the sun as a french spring wind blew! This was the real life! He would never understand all those people who spent all their times inside the house doing nothing but watching television. Seriously, the only time him or Talna actually used their 4-Chanel television was to check the weather network to know if they should put the chicken back inside their coop or let them roam free in the fields "Well, mister Page, our firt stop is right here!" The farmer said, stretching his arms to point at their surounding... not that there was anything to see really... "Those are them streets! Ya'll need to know them to get ta where ya'll want to go!" That was true! Knowing your way around town was more important that knowing what building was what. The streets, after all, led to everywhere. "Obviously, if ya go south from 'ere, ya'll get to the residential district, where ya'll live! The School is there since this is where most of 'em folk lives too." Some like to live in the back of the foods for a reason he couldn't really understand and the other lived close, or near, their shop.
"If ya'll head east, ya'll find 'em shopping district. There's a cafe if ya one of 'em late night folk, a bakery for 'em sweettooth and even a clinic if yersick. Oh! And a Vet! They upgraded not long ago to a pet store too! If ya keep going, ya'll get yerself to the bar and club, but if I were ya, I wouldn't go there. They have strippers." Whores! All of them! Women of little virtues! Little she-snakes wating to bit a man nd inject their venom in them, slowly killing them! Oh, may the goddess have mercy on 'em all. "And if ya'll keep going even more, ya'll see the Harbour if you need to go back to ta mainland, but ya knew that already, didn'tcha?" How else would he have arrived to the island than by boat?
Turner looked at Reed, smiling at him, trying to make sure that the man understood what he was saying. It wasn't hard, but one could get lost easily if one wasn't paying attention. "If ya'll head north, ya'll get yerself to the fields. That's were all of 'em farms are! But there's also the church, ya'll should pay yer respect to ta Goddess every now and then." It was well known that being a good follower gave you many good things in life! Just like how Gaston had gotten himself 3 kids without ever touching his wife... Unless the kids weren't from him at all, but that would just break the magic, wouldn't it?"That path also lead to the forest and the mountain. Ya'll should be careful. Dangerous animals lives there at night." How many people had died from being mauled in the last three years? Five? something like that.
"Finally, if ya head west, ya'll get yerself to the public place. That's were ya'll found the town square were all 'em festivals are being held. Ya should check them out, ya never know who ya might meet there!" A young lady, perhaps? "This is also whee ya'll find the General stores for any of your purchases, as well as the Town Hall if ya ever need to see da mayor or the town representative. Gladice is such a sweetheart. Did you knew that she was me wife's mother's mother's sister? Ya should meet her." Everyone ended up meeting Gladice one day or another, anyway. Just like everyone would one day facepalm at the mention of the mayor. "This is also where the Police Station is, but ya shouldn't have to go there very often. Oh! There's a library too! Ya' writing 'em books, aren't cha?" How did he knew? Talna was part of the Group of gossiping housewives! She knw everything!

Reed listened along patiently while Turner told him the layout of the town. It was pretty simple. One way took you to the community areas. One way took you to the shops. One way took you to the church and woods. And one way took you home. Nothing to stressful about the town itself. Plus he had already been to the east side of town. Hiding a small snicker as the man mentioned the bar. It was a bit to late for that. Besides, Reed didn't mind those kind of women. It was all a matter of morals.
After the speech of directions Turner's comment to Reed's career got him involved back into the conversation. A library huh? Reed was very fond of libraries because he couldn't afford to buy many books. And over the years reading had become his sole form of entertainment. It was nice that the town had a place where he could go and get books. As for writing them... Reed did his best. He had a book out that was doing fairly well. But nothing to mention in a conversation. Most of his money came from the editorial work he did. "I guess you could say that. I am in the middle of one after all." Reed's no work was far from finished.
Part of the reason he moved was for inspiration. So hopefully this town would give him something to write about. Reed then turned to Turner to talk about another topic that interested him, "You seem to know the people around here, right Mr. Turner? Is there any families I should stay away from? I don't want any negative influences on my family." Reed himself was bad enough.

Was there any family that he should stay away from? Well that frat-house like near his place was full of strippers, murderers and drug addict, but they weren't a real family so he couldn't count them. Which left the next best (worst?) family of 4 (five?). "Well, ya 'em lot in the forest. The Traiylors, they're called. Bunch of crazies, all of them! Thieves, druggies and just plain crazies. Ya'll should stand away of 'em all as possible. Like Mamma always said: It's not because the fox is cute that he won't eat all of yer chicken." Seems like Mamma had a lot of chicken references today. That was unusual. Oh well, one of these says.
They had already walked a good five minutes in the public place direction. Next stop would be the library, since the man was a writter and had so obviosuly paid attention when Turner had been talking about it. Maybe they could even meet a cute little librarian there! Would Reed be interested in Mary a librarian? Well, that was a question that would need to wait for an answer, because Ann someone was about to interrupt them by the mean of a mechanical mouse!
Mecha-Mouse VI, as it was now called, a rather large, robotic mouse aproched them. Turner stopped walking and talking, only to look it for a second, when a trap door on the top of the little robot open, letting a small hammer out, held by a mechanical hand and slamming dirrectly on the farmer's foot. "Rottenturnip!" He exclaimed in pain, as he kicked the mouse away. Soon enough Ann Lotte came rushing toward them, comming out of no where.
"Who did that? I know it's one of you two, BAM! Who broke MechaMouse? Tell me so I cam BANG KANG CLUK SLAM Him! No pitty! You two know how hard it was to build it? REALY? ANY IDEA?" The small, but fiesty girl crossed her arms in front of her chest, staring at the two men and waiting for an answer.

"I see..." Reed responded. It's not like he planned to go out to the forest anytime soon anyway. And if they were really as bad as the man said, he would probably never see them in town anyway. Though at the same time he shouldn't believe everything Tuner told him. But then again, Turner seemed like a good guy. Reed at least found his sayings to be interesting. He liked that folk way of talking. And the man's phrases were particularly entertaining. As Reed thought of all this though he began to blank out again. That was until he heard a sudden yell and a number of... Sound Effects?
When he snapped back to it, Reed was looking at a rather large... Metal mouse? And a rather loud... Little girl? He thought, she was short at least. And it took him a second to register what the girl had said to him. MechaMouse? Wait, this kid built... That? Reed was pretty confused, but the best thing to do was at least calm down the situation. The girl might have been loud, but she didn't look to threatening. "Now now, Let's not get into anything" He said putting his hands up in a 'calming' gesture, "It was out of self-defense after all. Okay, Little Miss?"

Turner was to busy swearing in his head to pay any attention to what the small girl had to say. He would have done more than just swearing in his head, but that was not how mamma had raised him. He would have to wash his tongue with black soap when he would return to his home for having actually swore out loud and then go to the church to pray for five hours for the goddess forgiveness. Bringing her a basket of turnips as offering wouldn't be too much either. He simply raised his eyes toward Lotte, trying to act as nice as he could, even if he didn't feel like it. At all.
Which the girl didn't care. She had no idea which one of the two males had actually kicked her mouse, but since Reed had been the one doing the talking, it had to be him! Failed!Logic for the win! "Self Defence? SELF DEFENCE? KABANG! What is there to defend yourself against? It's just a mouse!" She told him as she picked her MechaMouse and shoved it into the man's face. See? SEE! BAM! MOUSE! Nothign to defend yourself about. I'm telling you! If it's broken, I'm suying you for all your money!" She frowned at them and walked away, stopped, turned around, ran back to Reed, kicked him in the shin and then walked away again.
//Exit Lotte.
Seems like staying Silent had been the best thing Turner could have done right now. He looked Reed over, hopping that she hadn't hurt him too much, but really, it couldn't have hurted more than the hammer he had gotten on his foot. "Are y'alright? T'was Ann Lotte. The town's local inventor. She lives with her sister in them woods too. Ya should go there if ya ever wants anything mechanical or electronic built for ya. She's a fiesty girl, that's for sure. If you like them fiesty, ya'll could get together, no?" Of course, it was well known that if a girl hit you and accused you or destroying her thigns, it could still lead to love! That was the magic of Harvest Moon! Every girl, as bitchy as they get, could still endup with you if you knew what to give them and where their diary was located. Which reminded Turner... "If ya ever wonder what she's thinking of you, she keeps her personal notes in her workshop!" He blinked at the man. He was all for encouraging love with a bachelorette! Which was why they were now heading toward their second one~

Reed stayed silent for awhile. What had just happened was... Wait, what did just happen? Some loud brat just came up to him about something he didn't even do. And even more she had the nerve to kick him? Reed gridded his teeth together while he felt the muscles in his hands clench up. But, it was fine... Reed grabbed the cigarettes in his pocket and lit one, a little smoke would calm his nerves. "I hope you don't mind Mr. Turner" He said as he put the cigarette to his mouth. It was the right choice to bring them along. And hopefully the walk to the library was long enough to enjoy one or two. After Reed calmed down he was able to reply to the man. "She sure was an angel" He responded with painfully obvious sarcasm. Besides whats that about liking them 'feisty'. There was no way that girl was more than thirteen. Whatever... It was no use thinking about. It's not like the Page's owned anything electronic besides the things in the kitchen and the lights in the house. Though he felt he might run into her sooner or later anyway. This town felt like a lot of people will show up at any time. "Well lets just get on with the tour," Reed finally said as he began to walk with Turner to the next stop. -Exit Reed and Turner-

The velvet fabric tickled Yuri's knees as she walked. One would argue that late spring was much too warm to wear something as heavy as velvet, but try explaining that to her father, who wore a formal suit on even the warmest days. But something about being so close to the water, it was cool even when it was supposed to be heating up, and the little girl barely noticed that the outfit her father had laid out for was much too warm for this weather. She was too busy trying to ignore the scratchiness of the collar and the sleeves, and the pinch of her mary-janes as she stepped along the pavement.
She had only been on this island for a short while, but already, she found herself alone. It seemed that her father had just had enough time to unpack before he was whisked off to some foreign country. It was some place in Europe this time. And so the preteen was left to herself in an unfamiliar place. And so she did what any child would do if she had time to spare -- she explored.
Yuri had spent the morning looking around the house. Then, she ventured outside to explore the backyard. Now, she was making her way around town. Maybe she'd find the school which she'd attend come fall. But really, so far, it was mostly indistinguishable buildings. A sleep town like this, she noticed, didn't really seem like it was intended for a child. There was one playground, but she ignored it. She was eleven now, she was much too old to be spending time in a place like that. And so she clasped her hands behind her back, her dark brown curls tickling her cheek, as she marched along the pavement in her uncomfortable shoes.

It was hot... Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. "HOT!" Summer was definitely around the corner. And one small sized boy gritted his teeth at the thought. Bright blaring sun, warm gentle breezes, and the smell of rain in the air. It was sickening to the boy. To him it was scorching, relentless, humid, and all around disgusting. Three days and the kid already hated this place. Though the anger was probably misplaced. What he really hated was the heat, but the town seemed an easier target. It was easy to complain about a place you just moved to. Even easier to find faults in it. Like how there were no places to hang out, every square inch seemed like farm land, and there were no large open walls to use. "This place sucks..." The boy mumbled as he leaned on the handlebars of his bike while traveling along the streets of the town. Earlier that day, this fine young man had been relaxing in the sanctuary of his air-conditioned house. Seeing how they had just moved in, it would have been normal for the family to still be unpacking. However, the boys parent's had everything done in the first day. Leaving him to laze about the house the past two days. With his parents finally fed up with his sloth like attitude, they decided it was best for him to go explore town. What a horrible decision. This place was so boring that the boy could barely enjoy riding his bike. He continued to peddle from road to road in hopes of finding something bearable to do. But, that seemed impossible. That seemed to be the case until the boy spotted something quite interesting. A girl, his age probably, walking down the street as if she was in pain. She certainly didn't look comfortable. I mean look at her clothes, they were winter clothes without a doubt. She had to be monster to be able to bear this kind of heat in those kinds of clothes. Riding up behind her, the boy scanned her up and down. She looked... She looked like one of those hopeless girls who have their parents do all their thinking for them. No independence. The boy almost decided to just ride past her and forget he even saw he. Yet, he knew that this would probably be the only source of entertainment he would get today. He rode up in front of her and stopped the bike a few yards ahead of her so that she would stop. "Hey! Girl," The boy spoke in a rough tone, staring at her fiercely, "What's fun around here?"

Yuri continued to walk, even though her littlest toe on her left foot was going numb, and the sharp backs of her shoes were beginning to rub against her heel. The pantyhose she was wearing had done an adequate job of protecting her skin from the consequences of a new pair of shoes, but now not even the smooth thread could stop it. She unclasped her hands and paused to run a small finger along the back of her shoe, where it was rubbing against her foot, as if by touching it, she could smooth out the offending section. She stood there, balancing on one foot, her hair falling into her face, for a long moment, before giving up. Maybe one of these days, she'd ask her dad if she could start buying her own clothes... No, she couldn't do that to him. She'd feel too bad.
She had just straightened up when someone on a bicycle rode past. At first, she didn't think much of it, except for it being one of the first people she had seen since coming to the island, and so she began to walk once more. And then she noticed that he had stopped. It was a boy on the bicycle, who looked to be a year or two younger than herself. Yuri looked at him curiously. Upon calling for a 'girl', she glanced around, in case there were someone else there, but there wasn't, so he had to be referring to her. She was a little perplexed. What a rude way of addressing a stranger! Especially when he was noticeably younger! "What, me?" she questioned, pointing to herself, though she needed no confirmation. "I just moved here. I don't know. You should try asking someone else?" she shrugged. Was it a test? Or was he new to the island, too? Either way, she had no idea how to answer his question.

After hearing the girl's response the boy clicked his tongue against his teeth making a 'Tch' noise. "What a let down" He spoke with an exasperated sigh. Was there really no way to find something to do on this island? Well he might have been jumping to conclusions since this was the first person he had asked. However, she was new to the island like him. It was rare for multiple people to move to the same place at the same time. It definitely surprised the boy since he heard his parent's say that the island wasn't really that popular. Which lead the boy to think why they had even moved here in the first place. But, no use crying over split milk! Was that the expression to use here? Eh, it was good enough. The boy refocused his mind on the girl in front of him. She was new, "So we're the same." He kicked down the kick stand and stepped off the bike. He took two steps closer to the girl and planted his feet firmly into the ground. "I just moved here as well, so we're the same" He spoke not as rough as before, but still a powerful tone(for a 9 year old that it), "Whats your name?"

At the sound of his reply, Yuri's eyebrows furrowed, and her head jerked sideways for a moment. For a kid, he really had an abrasive way about him, didn't he? It made him seem like he was older than he really was. At least, compared to quiet Yuri, who absentmindedly patted down her hair. She didn't want to look messy, just in case her dad saw. He always scolded her if her hair was messy. Wavy hair messed up so easily, afterall. "You just moved here? That's so weird," she commented vaguely. Well, not really. It was almost summer, so it made sense for families who were to move to wait until school was over. At least, that's what her dad had done. "I'm Yuri. Yuri Allen. I'm eleven years old, and I moved here from Seattle," she replied, breaking into a smile. She crossed one arm behind her back, gripping the ribbon that wound around her waist and ended in a bow behind her, and held out her hand for a handshake. She had picked up some good habits from her father. "What's yours? I haven't seen any other kids here yet." If she could have a playmate, that would be nice. It got lonely in that big, empty house.

The boys hand went out and gripped the girl's strongly. And with a big wide grin, and his other hand pointing to himself with his thumb he introduced himself, "June!" First impressions were always important. And the young boy always had to make a powerful one. He always had to be The best of the best and the strongest of anyone he met. But... June let go of the girls hand and moved up to her, raising onto his toes so that he could look at her face to face. This girl was tall! His teeth began to grind together again and his eyes narrowed in another fierce look. He hated tall people. More than anything in the world. He fell back onto his heels after a couple seconds of being so close he could feel her breath. June then backed up a bit and crossed his arms. Turning his torso to the side, he put on a grumpier look. "I haven't met anyone either..." This was his first time leaving the house after all, "And since your the first person I've met so far." His voice grew back to a demanding tone as he turned back to her and pointed right to her face, "Your gonna' keep me company for the day!"

"...'June'? Your name is June?" Yuri questioned, her smile turning quaint. "That's so cute," she commented, unable to keep her smile from widening into a grin. Not that she was one to talk when it came to unusual names, but it struck her as odd for someone to name their son something so... feminine. When he let go of her hand, she returned to fold them neatly in front of herself, a habit her father was always quick to enforce, but she had to be incredibly conscious of maintaining. With her thoughts pulled away for a moment, she was startled to glance back to find him strangely close. Her gray eyes grew wide, but then she noticed how much he strained to reach her level. She was easily half a foot taller, maybe not quite a foot, but somewhere in between. Just seeing the look on his face amused the girl, and she held back laughter. It was rude to laugh in someone's face like that, but he just looked so irritated... Eventually she had to resort to clapping a hand over her mouth as a small chuckle escaped.
Whatever humorous mood she had been placed into, it didn't last for long. The boy soon jabbed a finger in her face and announced she was going to keep him company. "Me? Why?" she questioned, lowering her hands. She didn't seem like the kind of person who would get along with a boy like him, but she was pleased by the thought of making a new friend already. She didn't have many back where she was from, afterall. "...But okay. My dad's not home, so I have nothing to do," she admitted with a smile. She wasn't sure what it entailed, keeping him company, but he was an interesting kid to watch.

From the second this girl opened her mouth again, June was already agitated. On some level he knew his name was girly. And he had grown to accept that fact. Yet, somehow the way she said it was cute irritated him. Not to mention that when he was staring at her, although rude, she almost laughed in his face. Now that's rude! But, the anger fled when she agreed to hang out with him. After all, normally people would be put off by his... Aggressive demeanor. "Then..." June began as if he was about to suggest what they should do. He crossed his arms and tilted his head, raking his brain for ideas. Though he had no idea what to do on this island... There was nothing. This island had no particularly interesting spots for older kids. Which brought June's mind back to the whole "this island sucks" idea. That is until he remembered seeing something on the boat here. That's right there was a cool looking place to explore! A wide grin encompassed his face and he pointed his finger out once again, but this time to a random direction(Which he believed where it was). "The lighthouse!" He exclaimed as if it were some grand answer to a hard riddle.
