Cherry's smile darkened, as did her eyes as she turned to look at Cory dead in the eye. Her own pink eyes swam with chakra. "I wouldn't take that risk, friend." She paused briefly. "If it did work, I wouldn't forgive myself. And if you managed to land a hit on me, I most likely wouldn't be able to get up." Her smile extended slightly as she tried to erase the wound she believes inflicted on Cory's pride.

Cory Lei Sannin | Leaf  "Then why did you challenge me like that?" he asked, the energetic Tendril-Doll running hin place comically as it grunted a few times. It's mask glowed golden-rod, signifying that it was infused with Raiton chakra. And-- if Cherry knew that Fuuton over-powered Raiton-- that she could easily win against his Doll.

"My apologies." Cherry spoke. "I didn't realise you'd take my observation as a challenge. I am... rather weak. My eyes are my only strength. I only know three wind jutsus. I also know the acadamy basics but... I am barely adequate at them." She explained.

Cory Lei Sannin | Leaf "Fine then" he retorted, his Doll sitting down in the sand and playing with various grains.
"We will add a little kick to your arsenal: Wind Explosion"
He started to perform handsigns slowly for Cherry to see, as a small ball of wind materialized in his hand. It was about the size of a baseball, just big enough to cause some damage, but small enough to do too much.
"This little bugger is pretty much just an explosive tag in the shape of a rasengan, except much more handy... I never used Rasengan much."
He took the ball, and threw it at the sand twenty meters away. It whistled through the air, and hit the sand, creating a large explosion of sand. Thankfully, it was too far to create any significant damage.

"Rasengan?" Cherry repeated. "I'm unfamiliar with that technique." She said but didn't wait for a reply before she started going through the hand signs. She was slow at first, trying to remember the signs in sequence and getting her hands to form the shapes as she went through them mentally. She needed to repeat a few imes before she felt confident enough to pick up her speed a bit, again continuing until she was at a fast but suitable pace for her to use that didn't cause her fingers to fumble or slip up. Next, Cherry looked down at her left hand, flexing it slightly before running chakra into it, right up into her fingertips before concentrating it back into her palm. How had the wind blown in Cory's hand? It wasn't circling completely in one direction, that wouldn't explain the force of the blast. Cherry closed her eyes, focusing the chakra in her hand, gathering up into the wind, partly releasing from her hand in one direction, partly in another. Cherry wouldn't be able to see if she was doing the right thing until she tried the jutsu.
Cherry refocused the chakra back into her hand as she ran through the hand signs. The chakra was pulled from her hand by the technique but Cherry focused on it parting from her hand in two separate directions. It took a few moments before the wind began stirring in her hand, smaller in size than Cory's own. Her pink eyes remained fixed on the wind until it only churned how she directed it, in two different directions without clashing. She nearly lost it twice before she got hold of how. Cherry glanced up at Cory before lightly throwing the ball away from herself. It just touched the sound before exploading, sending sand everywhere. Cherry flet the sand scrape at her legs from the force.

Cory Lei Sannin | Leaf "Using wind" he explained, performing handsigns slowly. "This jutsu allows you to move faster, and will give you the edge in battle"
He jumped lowly, wind swirling beneath his feet to create a clear globe of swirling, chakra-infused wind. He was sitting on the ball of wind, and had it carry him about 50m in one direction and back in a matter of seconds.
"This will help you greatly if you plan to use it for an elongated period of time. However, if you need to get out a quick scrape, this is NOT the jutsu you would use"

"Elongated use. I understand. Looks fun." She observed, smile still in place the entire time. Cherry flexed her fingers and breathed in, going through the hand signs she had seen carefully at first. As she went through them repeated, she was beginning to find it easier to learn the hand signs for wind jutsus, her hands recognising the similarities. Cherry continued with them until she could get through them easily enough. Next Cherry concentrated, thinking in how the chakra would need to be used. She wouldn't be able to test it out in her hand, as the ball would have to be sat on and large enough for her to do so comfortably. Cherry prepared a good amount of chakra within herself and went through the hand signs, feeling it pull the chakra she had ready in the technique. Cherry concentrated the chakra round as she had done with the previous technique but the wind going in a single direction, not wanting it to be explosive. At first it was unstable and she needed to use more chakra to keep it going until she could manage. Tentatively, Cherry leaned forward and placed her weight on the ball. It didn't move. Carefully, she sat on it and only felt it deflate slightly under her unfocused concentration. After a second or two, she had herself - and the ball - back under her control. Cherry was now sitting comfortably on the ball of wind, looking at Cory, her smiling having never faded throughout the experience now glowing brightly on her face.

Cory Lei Sannin | Leaf He started clapping slowly, as his giant Doll lumbered over to him, and seemed to be sucked into Cory's mouth. The tendrils dis-connected themselves, and floated into Cory's oral cavity, and the mask suddenly appeared fastened to his back.
"Nice job, Cherry." he stated, smiling. "You have a lot of potential"

Cherry nodded. "Thank you." She said honestly, feeling better than she had in a long while. "Really, this is great." She suddenly tilted her head to the side. "Are you leaving?" She asked suddenly.

Dante walked up along the beach path as he came across Cherry and Cory. He paused for a moment not looking at either but he smiled slightly. "Sorry for my rudeness immortal one, I was a bit busy. I'll be back in my office if you want to continue talking. Cherry, your sensei has arrived. When he's ready you'll be seeing him" He said as he wondered towards his office

Cherry nodded. "I would imagine so. We aren't Village of the Mist for our beach parties." She joked. After a moment of silence, Cherry, still sitting on the ball of wind, spoke once more. "You'll come back?" She asked, eyes betraying her calm, even voice with a look of hope and worry.

"You know, my name is Cory!" he yelled out, obviously peeved. "Immortal One isn't even my title!"
He turned back to Cherry, showing her a soft smile.
"Or... We can sneak out of here and you can come with"
