Clearly not what Cody had been expecting, he flailed slightly before wrapping his arms around Dari. "Thank you?" he echoed. "Sweetheart, I was horrid. You shouldn't be thanking me..."

"You tried, and you kept trying," Dari replied. He rocked from foot to foot with Cody in his arms. "Even my coworkers are afraid of me. I love you."

"Of course I did," Cody muttered. "I love you. I couldn't let you get away." He leaned against Dari's chest. "I couldn't. They don't know how good a person they're missing out on. But I did."

Dari sighed deeply and released Cody most of the way, only loosely wrapping his arms around him.
"What do we do now?" Talk, he assumed.

"Lay in bed and not move for several hours? I called out of work tomorrow so... We have all night." Cody kissed Dari's cheek. "I'm glad you came home."

Dari smiled,amused, and took Cody's hand to head for the bedroom.
"You aren't curious?"

"No," Cody said. "Well. A little bit. But it doesn't matter in the long run. I love you. All of you." He poked Dari in the nose. "I just want to be close to you tonight."

When they made it to the bedroom, he released Cody to take off his shoes and smiled at the boop. He fell down to sit on the bed and held his arms out.
"You can ask whatever you like, but everything I tell you... you know. Top secret."

Cody leaned against Dari. "Its not really top secret when there's movies about you, is it?" Cody asked. "Government job working with aliens. Very Men in Black." He smiled slightly. "I got something for you."
.He moved to reach into his bedside table. He brought out the box. "I'm not asking tonight. And I don't know when I will. But I wanted you to know its here. And it's yours."

Dari's smile brightened and he put a hand over Cody's and pushed the box away. No. Not now. He didn't want to ruin that moment with this one. He leaned forward and kissed Cody softly.
"Not just aliens. Not just me."

Cody set the ring aside and returned the kiss. "What else is there?" He asked. More than aliens?

After the kiss broke, Dari fell back. He took a deep breath and let it out, and crossed his hands over his belly.
"Werewolves. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Yeti. Dragons. Centaurs... you name it, I can tell you if we know it exists."

Cody didn't need more than the first word. He was horrified. His eyes were wide. "WEREWOLVES?" he echoed, no small amount of terror there.

Dari waved a dismissive hand. His tone of voice said how little the idea scared him.
"Sure. We have three in the area. They come in for lockup every full moon. They're no danger to anyone. They're good men, really." Nevermind the fact that Toby was one of them. He'd save that little nugget of information for a time when he thought Cody might take it better.

"THREE?" Cody echoed, not in the least bit reassured by Dari's words. He was definitely more freaked out about the existence of werewolves than anything else. He took a breath and leaned against Dari. "What about your family? Are they like you?"
