Haar sighed, hoping simply that the man was telling the truth. He have to get Ceris to broil up some truth serum later just to make sure, but as of now he'd simply go along with the man's testimony. "Fine, I'll see what I can do. Are you coming?" He asking, turning his gaze towards Ceris who was currently healing a rather large gash on an unconscious man's head.

The young mage looked up with a smiile, "Hmm? Yes, I'm coming...just let me finish..." The bright white light circling his hands intensified for a moment or so before the mage stood up, dusting off his pants and robes. "Done."

The officer nodded, "Let's go then," he murmured, nearly having to drag the poor man out of the prison for he had just noticed yet another cut on Xel's hand. A firm grip placed around Ceris's upper arm proved to be quite helpful, as well as the numbing spell over Xel that seemed to be still in effect. Haar would most certainly be dead if looks could indeed kill. Loosening his grip considerabley, the younger man led Ceris out of the room and back towards the trianing hall. Once they were back both stood almost aghast as they stared at Peyton, who was currently munching on a peach trying not to get sticky juice anywhere.

"What in the hell are you eating?!" Haar asked, eyes wide as Peyton merely glared at him.

"I was hungry, you b*****d, just 'cause I don't eat fruit all the time doesn't mean I won't when I'm starving," he muttered with a frown, a dribble of juice running down his chin. Haar gave Alti a look of extreme gratitude, "I don't know how you did it, but you've gotten the boy to eat his first fruit in weeks."
"Which isn't healthy, you need to eat more of them," Ceris chimed in with a frown as he was inspecting Peyton's leg.

Alti shrugged. "All I did was hand it to him. Anyway, what's so bad about fruit?" he asked, this time directing his question at Peyton. "It's... sweet," he said with a shrug and he polished off his first peach and reached for another - it was, after all, his favorite fruit. He was almost addicted to peaches and he hoarded them during peach season. He looked back up at Ceris and Haar and said, grinning slightly, "Oh... yeah... And Mum says goodbye to Patrick and Tom."
((I'll prolly leave in a few minutes... I have to go buy some stuffu for kittens because we're adopting two from the vet tomorrow. <3 (which means I have to get up at like six. Dx)))

[[Aww. >w<]]

Haar shook his head, taking a bit of Peyton's peach before handing it back. "No, that's not what I meant. Nothing's wrong with them, he just never eat them," he explained as he walked around the long table that had been brought in, poking around for something to eat. After piling a few assorted meats and bread onto a plate and after having been ordered around the table to get Ceris something as well as the oh so injured Peyton, Haar sighed, balancing thre plates as he walked back towards the blonde's bed.

Ceris looked happy and instantly chirped in that, "I'm Patrick!"
Haar frowned, "I hate the name Tom!"
The mage simply grinned, "I know~"

Turning red eyes towards Alti, Haar's frown persisted, "So what does your mom call you, John?"

((I'm baaa~ck. Just had to buy kitty litter + box + scoop. Uwwaa, the birds at PetCo are SOOOO cute. whee There was this one little yellow and orange one... and there was a larger one, a parot, named Butters!!! :"D
Anyway, one of the kittens is black and the other is grey and one is male and the other is female (can't remember which is which). I'ma name the female Moxy, but I'm not sure about the male...))
"No, that would be the head maid. My name is Alto, but only when it's only family around. Otherwise I'm Alti," he said with a shrug. "Mother was never any good with names when it counts. And she can only remember the names she gives people, and she's important enough to get away with it." He set down his peach pits and reached out for yet another peach. The peached from the Kingdom of Earth were naturally the best, but these were still good...

(Name the other kitty skunk!)

"Why couldn't we just use your little diversion trick somehow? Your created images could somehow distract the guards while the real us try to find a way over," Dax said. If they couldn't conquer a single wall, then their journey would be over before it even began. He would be sent back to the palace, locked up, and probably not allowed to see daylight for a good long while. An almost impossible chance of ever seeing Sayael again, for sure. It was thoughts such as those that made him ever eager for them to leave. "Sounds simple enough."

It was then they were making it into the stables. The horses within were huge compared to most horses with thick coats of fur to protect them from the cold and large hooves so it'd be easier to walk on snow.

"No, I've tried that... There is no shortage of guards and no matter how many leave, there are always more... It's very... odd and could in itself be but illusion, but I don't want to risk finding that to be false..." he said, brow furrowed. "We're going around... by boat. It'll be difficult, but even if we get caught we can then fake ourselves with illusions. That probably the only reason I'm not locked up," he said with a bit of a grin.
He looked over at the horses - they were huge. "Mmm... My Isfahel must feel shamefully hairless hairless standing next to these," he murmured, eyes scanning the horses.

[[=3 lol.
*snuggles Xel. Aw<3*]]

Narcissa was quite aghast at how rudely and abruptly Jillian had left her in his dust. She was a princess! Stamping her foot in annoyance and frustration on the grass, she watched her victim flee from her and to her poor excuse of a brother. "I'll get you, Jillian... I swear I will..." she grumbled under her breath before setting back off to the castle.

Royal purple shades blinked in shock. "Jillian, are you all r--?" she began to ask, a little concerned. However, as her prized horse's reigns were grabbed from her delicate hand, she frowned and called after the diplomat now riding off on her horse. "Jillian! Come back here! I didn't say yes!" she frowned, upsetted by the impermissable trespass. You didn't just take things from royalty so smoothly!

Faryn narrowed his already angry eyes as he heard horse hooves behind him. Calamity, or Cal for short, was his sister's prized horse. And... well.. their two horses didn't 'get along' in the least. However, to have himself followed even on the beginnings of his ride by Jillian riding Cal-- his sister would have the entire castle after the two of them if Cal wasn't returned promptly. Forcing his own horse, Whitley, to turn around and halt, Faryn let Jillian catch up to him. "What do you think you're doing? That's Sylvia's prize pet. And he's not exactly friendly to boys," he said snappishly.

((I may be a little scarce for a little while...
See, I got up at six this morning so I could go to the vet before mom had work so I could pick up the two kittens I've adopted. THey are soooooo cute. The black one is a girl and I named her Moxy and the grey one is the boy and I named him Wizard. <3))
"Following you, what else?" he said, his breathing still coming hard. "Don't worry, I'll return him." Now... now that he had caught up to the Prince of Death, what exactly should he say? "Faryn, umm, I... I'm sorry. I was just walking with your sister. There was nothing else..." He said, his eyes fixed somewhere around the other's left shoulder. He couldn't quite bring himself to meet the other's eyes, as his own were so full of anxiety. He bit his lip a little harder than he intended and had to stop almost immidiately as it began to bleed slightly, but not enough to be noticeable.

[[Aw! I <3 Kittens~ *pets them*]]

Faryn didn't like his obvious response. It was aimed to make him feel foolish for asking such a question and he didn't like that feeling.

An apology, in addition? But watching Jillian apologize and explain himself, he was unimpressed. If Jillian meant what he said, couldn't he even bother himself enough to look Faryn in the eye? The older teen seemed inexplicably nervous. And yet, within the prince himself, he felt angry. What was more, he didn't know why he felt so upset... hurt, a little? Jealous, perhaps? The absurdity of the idea made him more upset with himself.

At a loss of words, Faryn looked down and numbly combed his fingers through his horse's black mane. He didn't say anything for a few minutes. Then he quietly asked, "Do you enjoy playing with people, Jillian? Does it thrill you to make me a fool? Am I a fool to you?"

He looked up, surprised, finally meeting where Faryn's eyes would have been, had the prince been looking at him. "No," he said softly, looking as if his worst fear for the turn out of their conversation had turned out. "I'm not playing with you, Faryn, never." He bit his lip again, ignoring the stab of pain. Would it sound too desperate to explain himself - to tell the truth? Brow furrowed, he said, "I'm sorry... I am. But she only asked me to walk with here - Narcissa, that is. There was nothing else..."

After reminding Ceris that he needed to make a truth serum later, Haar took a bite into a green apple he had picked up, scooting a few chairs over towards Peyton's cot so they could all sit down and, more importantly, so he could explain to everyone what just the hell was going on.

Swallowing thickly, the young commander set his plate down on the egde of the make-shift bed before turning his eyes towards the trio. "Well, I promised Alti I'd tell him about Xel," he murmured, just so the others would know why he was explaining all of their relatively recent pasts. "It all started when Xel came to train with the fire kingdom's soldiers about five years ago, it was five years ago?" He asked Ceris who gave the officer a reassuring nod as he nibbled at his own plate of food. "Anyway, we all became pretty good friends, I just found Peyton not too long before that, he wasn't my apprentice then, just a kicked puppy who wouldn't stop following me around," Haar said with a laugh, feeling the blonde's glare as he continued, "Like I said, we became good friends. Xel was my sparring partner, Ceris was stationed on the training grounds at that time instead of this hall. Anyway, last year he just attacked me out of no where, used some sort of ice magic, it sliced my face right open," he murmured, his voice gradually becoming softer as he rest a hand against the rather large scar under his eye that traveled all the way down to under his ear. "He just...fled after that, right in the middle of our battle, I guess you could call it that," he explained, taking a moment to look up at Alti with a sort of sorry grin. It wasn't the best memory...

"That's basically it, unless you can think of anything else to ask," he said before turning red eyes upon Ceris with a half smile. "Oh yeah, Xel and Ceris, sitting in a tr-" He was cut off by a smack to the side of his head as the thin mage got up to retrieve a few grapes, his cheeks bright red. "Too much information, Shay Haar," he muttered, using the man's full name as if he were scolding the slightly younger man. The brown haired man simply grinned up at Ceris.

He ignored the last statement made by the older man and asked, in a tone of pained tollerance and patience, "Yes, but why did he attack you? If he has Ice Magic, it most certainly pretains to my kingdom because we happen to have allied with the Ice Kingdom. And yet I have heard nothing of planned attacks on the Fire Kingdom," he said with a frown as he expertly pealed his current peach with a small but sharp knife he had picked up off the table.

Haar looked rather thoughtful as he took another generous bite into his apple. "Hell if I know, I mean I know we've never been on the best terms with the ice kingdom...but still," he muttered between bites before swallowing and continuing, "I'm going to have to get more information on his father. I'm just surprised with all the work we've done that this never came up," he said with a slight sigh. "I know there were a few insignificant, covered up mind you, skirmishes along our borders but as far as I know the political heads of their kingdom are perfectly fine with us," he murmured, looking tired for a moment or so. He wasn't fond of trying to figure out just what other kingdom's were thinking...

Shrugging, Haar turned to Ceris, "I do really need that truth serum as quickly as possible. We need to know if Xel is speaking the truth and then we can go from there," he explained, watching with calm eyes as the mage nodded and hurried off to do just that while he popped a grape into his mouth. "And about your knowledge of this happening...even if you are allied with the ice kingdom I'm sure that most of this was covered up as much as possible. I'm assuming only a handful of high ranking people of your's as well as the ice kingdom know," he added towards Alti, runnning a hand through limp, brown hair.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 12, 2006 9:53 am

"That is, if anyone in our kingdom knows," he said with a slight frown. "You said the Rulers of the Kingdom of Ice seemed perfectly - well, aside from an insipient war - alright with your kingdom. So perhaps it is just a group of those from the Ice Kingdom working on their own? What if no one else knows? We - that is to say, you - can't ignore that possibility." Alti tended to have a pretty good head for judgements - he could usually keep any of his ideals from leaking through to make it more what he wanted than what was possible, a situation in which his unhealthy detatchment from emotions and people was quite helpful, and he was level headed, especially when the situation didn't concern him.

"That's definitely plausible," he murmured, brows wrinkled in deep thought. Biting at his lower lip, Haar looked up from his previously thoughtful expression, turning around to find Ceris, "Is that almost done?" He asked the mage who was currently huddled over a small kitchen-like area, conjuring up a small flame to heat a bowl that was presumably the potion the officer had asked for.

"Mn, this just needs to boil for about five minutes, cool for another five and then I can administer it," Ceris replied adding some sort of cream colored powder to the bowl before he looked up with a smile, "Almost done, don't worry."

Turning red eyes back to Alti, Haar frowned slightly, "I guess we'll just have to wait for that to be done. We could guess and question all we want but it won't really get us anywhere," he said before looking towards Peyton, who simply looked confused as he took a bite into a large sugar cookie.
