~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade "You too-" Zlata raised a brow when Antonio suddenly gasped, and her gaze followed his to the bottle of wine she was holding, why was he so surprised? His reaction was almost comical. She chuckled, "Ano it ist, Tokaj vino to be exact~ Vant some?" She offered the bottle to the other with a cheerful, almost proud smile. Tokaj wine was the best after all!

~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade "Zhat's zhe spirit- don't vorry it isn't very strong." Zlata handed him the bottle and continued to eat her soup. The wine wasn't strong- of course not to her. Wine was in her blood, a part of her cuisine! So similar to other drinking countries, like russia, she was used to the strongness. It depended on the nation's alcohol intake as to how the wine affected them.

Landon strode into the cafeteria with a slightly dejected air about him. He had not managed to find any of his siblings anywhere in the various areas of campus he had searched, and had given up the chase only after searching every classroom around. He cast a sullen eye around the cafeteria, looking for some familiar face to talk to. Unfortunately, that familiar face was Maria’s.
California would much prefer being yelled at by Mexico than enduring a boring, silent meal, so he walked up to his estranged sister without much enthusiasm. “Hey, Maria,” he greeted her dully, stopping next to her and sitting down at her table uninvited. “Quite a boring day today, isn’t it?”
There was another Spanish-looking person nearby, and just that was enough to perk Landon up. That Spaniard looked like he needed some California cheer! “Hi, you!” he exclaimed, his personality doing a complete 180 as he extended a hand for the newcomer to shake. “I’m Landon Blackwell Jones, of California! Who are you, and why are you so depressed?”

Pedro simply played with his food with his spork and retained a blank stare while doing so. "Donde esta Pachacuti?" Pedro said quiet enough for his sister to hear. Landon would have no idea who Pachacuti was or how important he was to Pedro but his sister would know what it was he moping about almost immediately. Pedro stop playing with his food and picked up a bit of it before taking it to his mouth and eating it slowly. Pedro noticed the Californian's hand extended towards him and shook his hand weakly with his other hand. "I am Pedro Samaniego but my real name is República Del Perú...Forgive my depression amigo y mi hermanita, I have been separated from my friend, Pacachuti for the first time in years. I saw you at the beach Landon but I was taking a nap since I was very tired and he was conmigo. He's not hard to miss after all...he was the llama splashing around." Pedro took another bite out of his food in order to keep his mind off that llama.

It seemed that this Spaniard was more inclined than others to use Spanish, so Landon had no problem lapsing back into his own largely relinquished Spanish dialect. "Ay! Por que desaparece?" Landon asked, doubly shocked at finding the reason for Pedro's depression and at the fact that he had not noticed the conspicious beast at the beach party yesterday. "How close is Pachacuti to you? I'm guessing you and he are tighter than best amigos?" Landon drummed his fingers on his cheek thoughtfully before jerking it away with a bright face. "I know! Nosotros podemos buscarle juntos! Whaddaya say?" Peru's dilemma presented the perfect opportunity for California to enliven his day and perhaps make a new friend in the meantime!

~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade "Ano zhats true, England's vood isn't zhat bad zhough- just bland zhats all. Besides I vhink his dishes are built to be villing, as opposed to tasting good." Zlata nodded. She understood that it was important to be full- it could get very could in Slovakia, so she ate filling and often warm dishes and drank alcohol, mainly wine but in the winter she often kept a flask of vodka at hand.
