"Ah, here we are." Cinkel pulls out a small bottle, "Wait this isn't it." He puts the bottle back on continues to dig through his bags. "I really should get more organized. Anyway, I know a good trick to make your wings temporarily transparent. The effects will last until night fall and you'll have to clean your wings afterwards, but no one will be able to see them. At least, no one has the last few times I used this technique." Cain tilted his head to the side, "You're not going to use sorcery, are you?"

Azriel rubbed her chin as she watched Cinkel fish around in his bags a little more. "Hmm. What do you guys think?"
"Go for it, but yeah, proceed with caution."
"We need a better look at what it is. It sounds like something you are to apply directly to your wings. We also need to know about this sorcery it's derived from..."
Chiaro and Oscuro were familiar with sorcery themselves, but of their old Master Eloysio's time. They wanted to inspect this solution Cinkel was to provide, to see if they could recognize it.
"This is sorcery, you say? What sort of sorcery? I mean, we want to know how far back it dates, what exactly is in it, things like that." She crossed her arms and began to tap her foot, maintaining her calm, curious expression. It didn't sound too off to her that Cinkel once needed this; she suspected that this demon Malphas he spoke of probably gave him wings he couldn't hide when they were first fused.

Schwarz finished his scan of the crowed and sat down, "Gaa! That was the eleven people I've entered and not one had a clue that the king had something stolen." he punched the roof he was sitting on in frustration. "Calm down. You're to impatient with these things." Oro patted his brother on the back and got up, "Come on I feel the others near the gate, lets go." He knew it be better to stop before Schwarz got unhappy about his less then stellar findings. The brothers hopped down into the street and made their way to the gate. They stood a little ways from the entrance, and people watched as they came and went through the gate to the city, waiting for the others to enter.

Sheena followed, keeping her distance and thinking about other things. She sighed, catching up with the others, and walking along near Azriel. "Your back.. Its kinda bulgy. Were going to have to make up a story if anyone askes. Perhaps you could just let your wings freen and claim to be an angel?"

Azriel turned to Sheena as she caught up. "Oh, I'm waiting on what Cinkel here has in store for me. He says he has something that would make my wings invisible for most of the day.
I could have gone along with the story of always being hunchbacked. I wouldn't have minded. And...well, to tell you the truth, how could I make for a convincing Angel if my left wing looks...uh, very un-Angelic? Besides, I've heard here and there that the mention of Angels is very controversial these days. It isn't exactly clear to me why, but I just know that if I tried to pass as an Angel, I would be drawing more unwanted attention." She sweatdropped, looking a little nervous at the thought.

Sheena smiled. "A friend of mine passed as the angel of destruction, Spiritua, and managed to keep the guard off of her. Perhaps you could do the same, but.." She wasnt sure it would work, unless Azriel could pull of the personality. "I dont know. Perhaps I am over complicating it."

Cinkel pulled out a small box and bottle of some type of liquid, "Sorcery, in a nutshell, is science and magic mixed in order to create magical enchantments. It is a technique that was lost in Silvarant along with magitechnoligy and the art of summoning. Each of these items are setup with certain magics. 'Course somethings could cause side effects, but this particular trick shouldn't cause any. Except maybe itching will the magic is in effect. I'll have to write on your wings with this ink and the throw sand on it. Be careful though, if you stay in a dark area for too long, your wings will become visible again."

"I see...that's interesting..." Azriel looked back toward the gate, hoping she was out of sight from the people past it. She found Oro and Schwarz waiting there, conveniently blocking most of the view. Feeling that all was mostly clear, she turned back to Cinkel, removed her cloak, and spread out her wings for him to write on.
"Chiaro and Oscuro actually remember a little about sorcery from memories of their creator. They say what they've heard is similar to what he had practiced, only...um..." She fumbled a bit, trying to find the right words for what she was trying to explain. "Hmm. Let me put it this way. If he were to perform the same trick, what he would do is apply an intricately concocted solution and infuse the magical effect with spoken incantations and his will.
It sounds like something I could have tried to begin with, but they unfortunately can't remember the exact procedure. Their memories became fragmented as they went from curse-bearer to curse-bearer throughout the ages. Anyway, you say these techniques were lost in Sylvarant? Huh, this is...a little odd. Chiaro and Oscuro say their creator is originally from Tethe'alla."

Cinkel nodded, "He must be a master a sorcery. I was unable to complete my lessons, since my master died." He brought his bag in front of him and used it as a table for the ink bottle and box of sand. He then took a feather quill pen from his pocket and dipped the feathered end into the inkwell. Cinkel proceeded to to write on Aziel's wings, starting with the left. He placed a curve near the shoulder and three lines that spread from it to the tip of her wings, sprinkling sand along the way. Cinkel then did the same to the other wing. "Make sure to keep your wings still. This should speed up the processes." He dusted his left hand off from sand and held it out to the side, "Fireball." Cinkel held the blaze to her wings, careful not to burn her. The wings quickly became transparent beginning from top to tip. Cinkel put his things away and stood back. "There we are. I would have used a more powerful technique but the side effects would have been a bit...ridiculous. To answer your question, yes, this technique was lost. At least, to my knowledge. I've known Master to be the last one to even know that it existed. I lived in Sylvarant most of my life."

Sheena frowned. "You sure you know what your doing? Even the masters of Mizuho wont tamper with a curse. Azriel may be alright, but that doesnt excuse that a curse is still upon her. Trying to enchant her with a curse could end up badly." She said with a frown, not completely agreeing with this boys sorcery. He may know what he is doing, but this was old magic. Times and situations have changed, making Magitechnology hard, and sorcery harder. "With so little mana today then there was before, your taking a big risk." She said simply.

Seeing what was happening over with the rest of the group, Oro's curiosity got the better of him. He walked over leaving Schwarz to block the few, "Afraid of a little mystery Sheena, besides I highly doubt this is what you actually call a curse," he sounded slightly amused from Sheena's statement, He examined the now transparent wings on Azriel, "You're going to have to teach me that Cinkel. It might just come in handy eventually." His eyes now had a burning sensation in them as he put a hand on Cinkel's shoulder. Schwarz choose a moment to look back to see what was happening. Schwarz now saw a wingless Azriel and his brother and Cinkel together, "Great, he's in his zone." He rolled his eyes as he turned back to watch the road and people.

Azriel did her best to keep still when Cinkel used fire in the procedure. She was sweating profusely in the face for a moment. Half her elemental affinities lay with ice, so she didn't like fire very much. Once he was done, she wiped the sweat from her face with her cloak and turned her head to peek over her shoulder. A smile of fascination spread across her face as she saw her now transparent wings. She tried setting them in different positions to see how it would look, finding shifts in the way light would refract off them. With this, she concluded that all she had to do was keep them still in their usual upright relaxed position. She shouldn't stretch or flap them, or else they would become noticeable.
"Wow, that really...that works! Thanks a lot, Cinkel!" she exclaimed, now grinning. She continued curiously, "You make it sound as if these arts were confined to Sylvarant... Chiaro and Oscuro's creator existed around a few centuries after the Kharlan War, when the worlds were still separated...and he was an inhabitant of Tethe'alla...that still begs the question of how he knew of such sorcery. Hmm..."
"Otherworldly Gate."
"...Did he ever really pass through it?"
"Actually...I am rather fuzzy on that. It just sounded like it made sense. It's hard to remember anymore..." She frowned.
Hearing Sheena's displeasure over the technique, Azriel put aside those thoughts for now to turn to her and respond, "Well, Chiaro and Oscuro also verify that it isn't a curse...rather, they call it a charm. A little something that makes things a little easier. And there are no harmful side effects so far, so I trust it." She smiled reassuringly. "Well, now that that's settled, we can finally get on with this task!" she exclaimed with a gleam in her eye. "Sorry we left you and your brother hanging for a while there, Oro," she apologized, remembering the little annoyed outburst Schwarz had back in the forest. She stuffed her cloak back in her bag and began to walk toward the gates.

"You're quite welcome. Remember, people can still feel them if he or she were to touch them, so be careful." Cinkel turned to Oro, "Oh, course, Sir Oro. When we have the time, I'll teach you want little I know. Anyway, Azriel, I never did say that sorcery never existed in Tethe'alla. I lived in Sylvarant for most of my life and, not too long before the world regeneration, I was studying the Tower of Salvation and was transported to Tethe'alla. So my knowledge of that world is less than mentionable."

Schwarz noticed something near the base of the wall, he looked over to see if he was still needed to block the view. Seeing that he wasn't he walked over to the wall to investigate. "No worries Azriel. Schwarz haz always been a bit eager to rush into things without thinking." Oro sighed and shook his head, "I swear he want's to kill us sometimes." He looked over to the wall to see his brother hunched over picking some sort of shrubs, he looked back to the group, "Anyway, Cinkel please don't call me sir, it rather embarrassing to hear someone say that." the only people to ever call Oro sir was his Masters Marv and Rox, a fellow pair of twins that taught them how to control their power of the gates, before Schwarz and Oro had went soul hunting. The two twin groups left on a sour note of what is right and wrong before departing last time. It made Oro a little depressed to think of them. "Well, what should we do split up and look for clues or stay together and see what we can find that way."

Sheena nodded, still unsure of it. "Well, if you say so." She said with a shrug and a sigh, looking back towards Meltokio." She wondered what Sylvarant was like during its flourishing period. Tethe'alla was technologically superior for many years, lucky enough to hold onto its knowledge while Sylvarant slowly lost its own. Sheena was sure that at one point, Sylvarant had the same technology. Perhaps before Mithos split the worlds apart during the Kharlan war. Sheena shook her head, looking back up. "If your wings wont be visible, we wont have any trouble with anyone. I have a place I was meaning to visit here. I'll meet up with you guys later." She said, before heading into the city, and out of sight. She made her way down the streets, heading for the research lab located in the eastern section.
