Paradox nodded solemnly. "All they are going to do is find their queen, and maybe Matachi." Paradox told her. He took out his black bow. He scrutinized it carefully. "To think I have gone so far, from my true purpose. If it comes even to having to kill the gods, end them once and for all. . . For Katherine's sake, I would do anything." He took out a slip of paper, a note to Katherine. The giant rolled it around his arrow. "You have always aimed true, Melanie." Paradox said to his bow as he pictured aiming at sliding the arrow across Katherine's cheek, barely nicking her soft skin. "Don't fail me now." He finished as he pulled back the string, back to his cheek. The arrow was ready to fire. He released, focusing with all his mind on Katherine's cheek. The arrow flew through a window, and then completely disappeared into the air.

Sekain woke up in a cold sweat. He felt a weakenss in his chest.Katherine I will get you back he thought as he he awoke next to Nikura who smiled "shh dont say anything, Aldon has already notified Llyr and he is spreading the word of the streets that Alastor has beaten up and kidnapped the queen" she said calmly "there'll be a massive uproar, I need to be there to keep control" he said as he looked for his robes. "wheres Matachi he needs to join us" Sekain said a she got dressed Nikura remained seated as she shrugged "I haven't seen him Sek"
Meanwhile the rebel assassins that used to fight the elite assassins have been roaming around town in pairs talking about the kidnapping with people listening in and word spread like wild fire. "At least with Matachi Katherine was safe" some were saying, "did you know he beats her and has kidnapped her?" others gossipped. "did you know the queens new fiance plans to kill her then Llyr?" others mumble. Some were lies but it wouldn't be put past Alastor. Aldon appeared in the castle door way looking for anyone he knew.

"It won't happen again not like that.." Tears ran down her face for she had seen the vision he had wanted her to. She swallowed hard it wouldn't leave her mind. "Its different now it won't happen like that. Your wrong." All this was spoke with dout because it could. It could happen right then she knew that, then the arrow his the rock right by her head she flinched as a spot of red ran down her cheak Paradox's arrow with its note there.

"It will happen as many times as it has to until that man is me, Katherine. It always will." Alastor spoke before the arrow rushed past him and cut her across the cheek. Before it went out of sight, he caught it with his energy and brought it to himself. "WHAT IS THIS?" He asked as he looked around and at the arrow. This area was usually barren and there was no one else around. He snapped it in two and threw it to the ground, it disintegrated under his power. "For my last measure, I shall relieve you of everything else you own for a weapon." He said, removing the last thing she had, her garter of knives. Cutting it off, he threw it to the ground at her feet.

I don't know where you are, but have begun a search party because of your absence. If you are fine, please come back to the capital. If you are not, then have solace. We are on our way. I hope this didn't hurt you that much, if it even reached you.
P.S. We have no idea where you are. Try to give us a sign. please
From Paradox
Paradox looked at the sky. "Well, It was worth the shot." He said. he didn't know if it had worked, because he had never tried it before. That was the entire Gamble. He couldn't follow the arrow, and he had no idea where it went. The soldiers were leaving to begin their search. Paradox saw Aldon. "You, over there, who are you?"

Katherine watched him read it. The wound already healing on her cheek. She wanted to know what it was. He probally wouldn't tell her though. She didn't speak to his words she needed some kind of hope at the moment anything.
Mel was beside Paradox when they the other person walked in she was about to tell him everything she knew which wasn't that much to start with.

"I am Aldon of Flowing Rivers, Sekains Advisor. I have come with very important news. "Katherine has been kidnapped by the one you all know as Alastor." he said "the whole city is fuming at such news. Lord Sekain is currently with Matachi and they will be over to aid form a plan as soon as they can, I have been asked to keep an eye on things for them until tehy return, so please let me help you" he said looking at paradox sincerely

Mel looked up at Paradox, "Flowing rivers will know more than me. You are highest ranked here at the moment Paradox. It is all your call." Which was true not even one of the minor lords were at the castle today. Porbally because no one wanted to screw this up.

Alastor looked over the note and laughed. "I dare them to try. If they can find us." He laughed, dangling the letter in front of her face for a minute before pulling it back. "It seems they're in an uproar at this. Good, because even when the 24 hour deadline drops, you won't have a kingdom to return to. Someone will take your place and you may as well be with me forever." He said, then starting to laugh at it. "That b*****d Matachi isn't even qualified to be King. All the documents were forged and once it gets out, he'll be exiled back to his pile of ruins." He finished, laughing again after.

Paradox nodded to Aldon. "The plot thickens." He never really had gotten to know Alastor. It was probably for the best, anyway. "I have already started searching for her. It would help if we knew anyplace Alastor frequents. That would most likely be where they are." Paradox told Alden. They had to find her, if something bad happened, they would just have to deal with that when it came up.

Katherine read as mch of it as she could when it was tangled. Fear tingled up her spine again not for herself but for them she could afford to pull anyone else into this. Her purple eyes settled back to Alastor. "They won't find it right? we are somewhere far, tell me that." but if the arrow got there they couldn't be. The story shouldn't be mixed in with those who helped her at the castle she couldn't have that.

"He used to live in the forest just outside of the capital. Know one really knows where out there though." Mel spoke she was went to braiding back her dark hair, knowing that soon they would be out looking. "someone needs to find Demitri and Hector i guess in case." Hector was Katherine's heir most knew that just a boy. Demitri would then be lord protector. If it did come to that.

"Yes Katherine, we are very far. Some would say, we're not even in Llyr." Alastor said, crumbling up the letter and burning it. "Not to mention, this place has so much magic distortion, that not even your brother would be able to stand it here. I would love to see if he conjured one of his precious elementals here." He laughed and walked up to her bare and chained form. Leaning his head forward, he would start to sing that song again. The one he sung her on the beach.

Mel stayed quite this was stuff not even Matachi would ever tell her. She waited wondering what the big sercert was.
Katherine on the other hand looked slightly relieved to hear what he said. "And if they don't find me you won't harm them?" She asked still worried. Worried never for herself but the situation. If this comes to pass she would have failed her father's blood to carry it on but at least, at least they would be safe.
