Gregar828 Posting this does not make you look right, nor does it make you look more intelligent than me. Posting this you have no counter-argument, and that you are resorting to childish tactics to sway people into believing you are right, or to attempt to shame me in front of the guild by implying that my statements are incredibly wrong, without proving them wrong through a valid argument. This was a necessary procedure with permission given by the guild captain. If you don't like the fact that the chatroom had to be closed to do it, thats too bad. I posted that, because expressing how dumb that was in words was impossible and my vocabulary isn't that expanded, therefore, facepalm... The universal sign of "God that was moronic" I have a counter-argument, but words failed me at that moment. Plus, it's futile to argue with someone who has enough pride to believe that their post is somehow more important that others in a public chat room created and modeled for the express purpose of posting random bits of conversation that otherwise have nowhere else to be posted in our guild. Such as, the earlier conversation of family lineage. I get that teaching someone that sentence structure and correct grammar is important to RPing and I admit I too was getting irritated at his horrible posts. But forbidden someone from speaking in a public chat room is the same as saying the following: "It's recess time, and heres a nice shiny playground for you to go play in, but because Johnny wasn't paying attention in English today, everybody who was can just stand outside and stare at the swingset. Isn't this fun!?" Or "It's dinner time, and Mary and Tommy got an A on their English test, so I made their favorite pizza, but because Johnny failed his English test, you two can just sit here and watch while Mommy and Daddy eat this cheesy deliciousness." Or "I made this totally awesome tree house for you, so when your're done doing you're homework you can go and hang out and chat with your friends and stuff; but because Johnny failed his test, all of you guys can stand underneath the tree house and stare at it even though you guys passed your test, while I'm inside it yelling at him,." (I apologize to anybody with the name Johnny) Am I getting my point across yet? Or are you still assuming that your actions were justifiable?

ENOUGH!
I gave Greg permission to temporarily stop chat long enough to get someone's attention before moving it to another chatroom. That is what he did. If either of them were offline, or once the conversation was moved, chat would be allowed to resume. This is meant only for matters of recognizable importance, which would otherwise be lost among the chatter.
Shira, your point is made. Completely blocking off the chat is wrong, and that is why I made it a temporary permission, with the clause that it must be moved as soon as possible if it is likely to become a drawn out matter. To use your own method of examples, Johnny needs to be reprimanded at the dinner table, and Dad asks all the other children to please be quiet for a few minutes so Johnny can hear.
In future these matters will be taken up in debate threads within that subforum. However if the subject in question does not recognize the thread, or the matter is too small to bother, these measures may be taken again.

The next post in this thread is to be on a different topic.

Could said topic be the lineage topic from earlier, or maybe browsing the library of topics we can talk about, such as this one?

(I apologize to anybody with the name Johnny) Am I getting my point across yet? Or are you still assuming that your actions were justifiable? Please refrain from using stupid pictures in the future as your entire argument. It does not make your point any more valid, it just tells us that you cannot make a good argument to support your case. A conversation determining whether or not someone can continue to RP in this guild is much more important than a conversation about family lineages. That is something that I do not believe needed clarification. I do understand your reasoning. And my response is that while it may be unfortunate, it was made necessary by actions prior to this that did not yield results. When the issue with Haseo appeared a few months ago, do you think we would've tolerated random chatter while we were confronting him in the chatroom? No, we would not have. This logic, though the situation is much less severe, is still applicable and relevant. It was a temporary hold on chatroom posts that was ended when the issue was resolved. If it bothers you that much, go to another chatroom, or show some patience while the crew does its job. Right now you're unnecessarily blowing this out of proportion, just for the sake of argument, and I'm getting tired of it.

No, scratch that, more like a Clan than a family. ( Even though they are the same. ) except that in a clan, the head of the family changes, although commonly in a line, but in this case, the stronger rise to the top, and the stronger yet, and the equally flock around them to maintain their power, while us members mill about doing our thing under the rule of the head. blaugh

I am in no way a mother figure. If you are deeming this position on me simply because of my rank, then Luo and Lance Fulgurant would also be deemed a "Mommy figure". As I believe this is not the reason, I ask that you do not label me as such.

I was basing it on how most mothers commonly are the ones to n** something in the bud, as well as praising good things. Although now that you mention it, Luo kinda fits that more than you do... Hmmm... Would you be the uncle... no, no no no... Grandpa? Yeah, Greg would be a grandpa in the Clan of PotS.
