Alright, people, back on topic (Again.)

Cut YM117 some slack, I seem to recall that he only knew of Dawn Of War when he came here, he's still learning (Quite quickly, I might add.). We're not the people who flame one another just for not knowing a unit exists or not, are we?

Anyway, is anyone else rejoicing that Berserkers where made less, er, swarming-capable, through the 1.5 patch?

So, the patch punished chaos players but does nothing about the wraith lord rushes, I am so happy...

In my experience, Wraithlords are easy to focus fire on. That, and the buggers take a hell of alot of Power. Eldar armies run out of Power resource rather quickly.

That patch did alot that i didnt like, but it did some stuff that i like quite a bit...its a toss up

I didn't like the patch much although it improved tactical marines a bit, but killed assault marines reducing almsot everything about them. I don't know about anyone else but assault mariens are a big part of my army.

Also i have a question how and where do get their weapons, also how in goodlords name do the function i mean it looks like their held together with tape or elmers glue. rolleyes

Eldar run out of power the slowest in my experience. A decent player will buy the power upgrade as SOON as the Soul Shrine is up; along with at least 3 or 4 gens because they can hoarde eco with only a few Reaper squads keeping the neemy in tier 1 massing and on their toes since Reapers with FoF are so fast.
Then as soon as the Support Portal is up you can get the second power which really will boost your economy. You should have enough to spam Wriathlords and webways till' you're blue. I don't specifically think that any unit in the Eldar army is overpowered at all.
I think that it's a fundamental problem in Fleet of Foot. Due to FoF you can take 2 Reaper squads and keep the enemy in their base massing while you tech and eco to hell if you are a skilled palyer. Alltgoether I've always thought that Eldar have been the best race in the game.
You can't nerf the units Eldar have access to early game because then you've got the n00bs who whine. And they can't nerf FoF directly just because it's more or less an impossible thing to balance.
They just need to decrease the bonus FoF gives. Reapers should NOT outrun scouts. Period.

And a scout with 'infiltrate' should not be able to go and sit in the middle of an Eldar unit, when the smell alone would alert the Eldar to their presence. Go figure.

Well, if we're speaking fluff-wise, the Dark Reaper is not heavily armored - he is WELL-armored. Just because he shares a 3+ save with Space Marines doesn't mean he's walking around in a towering shell.

And he is, after all, a member of the single most athletic and graceful humanoid race in the Galaxy.

ok first of all still even if it's not much armor it's still armor that is heavy and weighs you down, so it still should be slower. Also i admit that infiltration is a little unreal when the smell and sound of the humans "heavy feet and burdened souls", (fluff descritions).

Also i admit that they are probably the most athletic and graceful species probably but even they have admitted that the astrates are very dangerous enemies.

This is where our discrepancy lies. There is no indication what-so-ever that this is the case, and no reason to think that it would be, given the general disposition of Eldar technology (that is: light, fast, agile, efficient) compared to Imperial technology (low-tech, inefficient).

EDIT: Two interesting discoveries because I don't play Eldar: firstly, 40k Dark Reapers don't get Fleet - a point in your favor. Secondly, 40k Dark Reapers only have 4+, rather than 3+ as I had initially assumed.

As such, there's no reason to believe that Dark Reaper armor is any heavier or more restrictive than Scout armor except its appearance, and significant precedence to the contrary.

im not sure if your talking about the table top game or DoW, and i cant remember if reapers get fleet of foot in the first place, but i think they arent that good. While your there, keep on their toes with banshees, not reapers, most units in teir 1 are good at ranged, not many are good at melee, giving the banshee an advantage. Also, alot of AI's and players get heros at the begining because it gives them a huge advantage over starting infantry, a few reapers with not be able to stand up to a hero
