I remember falling I remember marching Like a one man army Through the blaze

"We lost a handful of soldiers, most of them just out of their youth. What surprises me is that our next battle was such an astounding victory."
No thanks to me.I know I'm coughing I believe in something I don't want to remember falling For their lies

Remus knew all too well what that was like. He remembered how he locked himself in his state room and broke down after the Pegasus was destroyed in the beginning of the Lenaar War.
"You did what you had to do, Kaok. What matters is that you're still here." Remus said and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Mentally, Emma whooped in triumph. Outwardly, she showed no signs of noticing.

"Thank you, sir." Contact with other people sure felt different with only one layer of fabric on you. Kaok was unsure of whether it was 'bad' different or otherwise.I know I'm coughing I believe in something I don't want to remember falling For their lies

Remus withdrew his hand and took a sip of his drink.
"You're off duty, Kaok. You can just call me Remus. Sir makes me feel...old. Besides, all this military talk can get so drab after awhile. Isn't there anything else that interests you, Kaok?"

"Little else that I'll admit." Cryptic, maybe, but she was embarrassed sometimes of her hobbies. "Though I have been exploring human hobbies and recreations lately."I know I'm coughing I believe in something I don't want to remember falling For their lies

"Such as?", Emma asked before realizing that she had spoken aloud. "Oh, I'm dreadfully sorry, I didn't mean to butt in."

Remus nodded. He was hoping for more, but that would have to do for now. "Well that's good. There are other things to do besides marching around on hot concrete all day. I.....I build model planes and cars in my free time." Remus confessed, a little embarrassed.

Chess, Emma... unfortunately.
"I can understand the allure, I think. Most beings enjoy the sensation of creating things. It's in our nature as creations." Creations of who? Creations of somebody. Creations of natural selection. Kaok shook her head as she banished the subject from her mind. "My... hobby gives me a similar opportunity, admittedly."

She caught the thought, just on the edges of her perception, and nodded in recognition.

Skutz walked in, wary of his surroundings. His day has been all but uneventful. "Come on Kayla," he whispered to his new friend, the little sheep, "lets gets something to drink." He reached the bar and set Kayla next to him, Kayla baa'd peacefully. "Some water for my friend, and some tea for me."

"Yes, you have a point there. The will to create is ever present in all of us. So, may I ask what this hobby of yours is?"
Remus nodded to Skutz as he entered the bar, and he chuckled when he spied the lamb.

"I wouldn't want you to think any less of me, but...."
The Lieutenant removed a small piece of fabric, two toothpicks and a bit of string from her shirt pocket. As if instinctual, she folded the fabric this way and that, tied bits of the string around at places and stuck the two tooth-picks in through tiny holes in the material. She held in her hand a small, cream-colored doll in the vague shape of a Faun. Spying the figure's long horns (the tooth-picks, rather) she pushed them in a little more, if only out of jealousy.
"This."

"I will not be defeated by the likes of you!" Gallon shouted towards the approaching figures. The first vampire reached in, but Stranger avoided his grasp and instead, clenched on to it's arm. Dragging the blood sucker into the small space, Gallon was able to maneuver him into blocking the passage from the others. Trapped with the armored Mage, one on one, the vampire didn't stand a chance. Gallon forced punch after punch, each hit landing like a stone mallet, and finishing the flurry with a double fisted hammer. It brought the leech to it's knee's, where Gallon took full advantage by ripping it's head from it's shoulders. Blood gushed from the wound like a fountain, and the remaining two looked at one another wearily. Drenched in crimson, Gallon only smiled, beckoning his opponents closer, to which they eventually came.

"May I see?" Remus asked and put on his reading glasses for a closer look. He took the small faun figure and studied it closely. Sure, it was crude, but Remus' model airplanes weren't the best either.
"Can I keep it?" he asked, still looking over Kaok's work.
Remus jumped slightly at Stranger Gallon's shouts. He wasn't sure who he was talking to, but he called back his robot guards just in case something went down.
