Lightface nodded, and was about to walk out. "When ice grips the forest...it must be happening in leaf-bare." She murmured, walking into the medicine cat's den.

Sandpaw nodded, struggling to keep steady against the wind. "I'll survive," he hissed, as wind slapped the fur around his pelt.

Torrentstar continued in the direction of Riverclan territory ... it was more difficult now, to have a sense of direction, no longer having Pebblefoot and also with the wind all but deadening his senses. But eventually the land started to shift downhill and it was easier to tell where they were. The sun was low by the time they reached the bridge. And Torrentstar realized how long he had been away and wondered what he had missed back home. He could smell Riverclan scent on the bridge and it was fresh. He wondered if they would run into a patrol. It didn't matter. He was happy, though that Dampfoot had kept up patrols even in his absence....
He crossed the bridge eagerly. And then turned to speak to Sandpaw again.

((sorry for the double posting guys...))
Lightpaw stepped out of the apprentice's den. She felt like she missed alot, and then she caught a faint Riverclan scent on the wind. She was at first alarmed but her mind made the connection as she remembered that they were housing a Riverclan cat only a few foxlengths away in the medicine cat's den. I wonder how he is today... She wandered over to the freshkill pile and picked something out for Lightface and for Sandpaw before padding over to the medicine den for a visit.
She entered the den and was surprised to find that despite the strong scent different than the one that had been there before, that Sandpaw's space in the den was empty. She turned her confused eyes toward Lightface as she dropped the freshkill the the medicine cat's feet. Has Torrentstar finally come and I missed it? What a big thing to sleep through. She continued to stare at Lightface though, as though to ask what she had missed.

Lightface smiled. "Torrenstar came, Lightpaw, and brought back Sandpaw...."
(Does Lightface have an apprentice?)

Lightpaw's expression turned from confusion to regretful comprehension. She hadn't gotten to say goodbye. Oh well She picked up the piece of freshkill she had brought for Sandpaw and decided to eat it herself. Her nap had been short but the sun was beginning to set. She decided to eat and then try to hunt a little before the light was completely gone. She sat right outside the medicine cat's den so that she wouldn't crowd Lightface and thought absentmindedly. Remembering that tomorow was the gathering. A pang of excitement shot through her and then she composed herself. Smallstar would have to make his announcement first. She hoped she would get to go to this gathering, she wanted to see the Riverclan cats again. Besides she had never really gotten to speak to Sandpaw, seemed like that dogfight had been moons ago despite the cuts that still stung when she groomed herself from it.
She finished her meal and started grooming. Swiping licks over her chest and paws. Maybe she wouldn't go hunting anyway. She didn't want to miss it if Smallstar called a meeting.

Ooc://OMG 0_0 You're alive!! :] Yay! Sorry, I'm just quite excited right now. But anyways, nothing really happened 'cept Sandpaw was returned to RiverClan, you're sick, but you can be better now. xD Um, I'm puppeting Smallstar right now, and there's a gathering going on at the moment. Dragoneyes stretched for a few minutes, then opened her eyes. She felt much better. It was probably the medicine Lightface gave her. Looking around, Dragoneyes realized that everyone was at a gathering. She let out a sigh.
"I missed the Gathering?" she pondered out loud. "Oh well." It was too dark to hunt, and the cats at the Gathering weren't going to be back for a while, so Dragoneyes sat near the front of the entrance, waiting patiently for her clan to come back and tell her what had happened while she was out of it.
