The story will not be publicly broadcasted, it will be swept under the rug, and it is a futile effort. But it is all that I can do. I will not strike out at my fellow man, so I will use my own life as a symbol.”
“You can’t kill yourself Gripe!” Darkbrush grew more and more stupefied as all this new information passed into him. It jumbled up his thought processes until he felt like his mind would collapse.
“It is not suicide Timothy, I am passing on. I am making a statement. I can and will do it, and I will soon. I have lived long enough. The final statement as me as an individual will shine through. Rather than cast aside who I am for a supposed greater good, I will perform the ultimate selfish act and immolate myself. With a hope, that maybe, just maybe, the souls that witness the act might realize the facts that I spread. The rebellion will realize the true path, and though they will not stop the upcoming apocalypse, they can at least prepare for the fallout.”
“You’re a crazy old ********” muttered Darkbrush.

One thousand years of chaos has passed, and the world has been torn to s**t. It began with the return of magic. So long had it been forgotten, so long had the world been godless. Sure, there were those who believed in their gods, but the gods were not really there. But when magic returned, it thirsted for new rulers of this cosmos, and threw the entire world into chaos. The War between the Dominion of Truth and Sica Vinus has been long and brutal, right as it reached its zenith, things got to be interesting. Dragons crawled out of whatever hell they had been sealed away in, and new demigods walked the earth. The Broken-God Darius rose to power within the dominion with his headhunter army.
