[ Kyle : Louis' Heart : Train Lounge ]
[[ For the sake of personal ease, I'm only going to post as Kyle unless 1) we go into battle or 2) the Inactives/Canons are spoken to/must otherwise react. x_x ]]
Kyle was still thrashing about in powerless rage when Zell's announcement came over the intercom about them proceeding to land--he almost didn't hear it. All the same, it made him lower his fury to a simmer, taking breaths and just meditating as he felt the blood flow through his body, arms included.
They were in his heart. They had been in his heart the whole time.
That's why he'd seen them.
Joe-tomos' initial questions were heard, but Kyle didn't response immediately--he was too busy digesting, contemplating.
Dani rushing in, shouting in a deeper, angrier tone, with water draining from her fingertips caught his eye, but only for a second. Let the timid girl hide behind her summon--he had to think. Kyla appeared briefly at the doorway, but he only barely registered her presence.
Joe-stormo's bluntness kicked into overdrive and he once again began 'commanding his troops'. Kyle only let the words wash over him, only turning to look at his shard, physically there, just as real as he'd appeared on Kyle's station.
... purify what's inside, kill the inner demons...
Amy's anger--justified as it was--drew him out of his thoughts for a second, and he very nearly scolded his shard before Bobbi's chimed in from the Dining Car. Justice? The shard began to explain, and introduced the other--Innocence--and Kyle's lips pursed together tightly in thought, chewing on his inner cheek.
His suspicion was seeming more and more like fact.
"That was just another shard. By blasting him as thoroughly as the other three were ripped apart, we likely cleansed him, or at least knocked him into submission--none of us have the particular power to outright destroy a heart, fractured or otherwise," Kyle said, his tone explanatory even though it was an assumption--a hypothesis at best. "If you say there'll be no more illusions, then that was probably the focus of that shard, at least in his corrupted state--deception. What'll that become?"
"More importantly, it stands to reason that if we're still here, inside his heart, after that whole scene, there are more of you--particularly since I can't imagine a person only holding four significant traits," he continued, still looking at Justice, as if asking for clarification, testing himself. Still, one particular thought made him uneasy--especially if the past couple hours were any indication. "So therein lies the question: just how many more?"
"Also, can you let me out, I need to stretch my legs."

[Kyla: Narnia: Lounge > (order?)Engine Car]
[Axel: Narnia: Room Car>>]
The artist lifted her head, eyes sliding almost sluggishly to James when he passed by, his forced smile not lost on her. Her deadpan gaze lifted only slightly and she smiled back- falsely- but enough to not be rude before setting her sights on exploring the rest of the car. She then turned back around, heading back towards the engine car.
She heard Joe talking to them, taking charge as he should and rallying them for what was to come.
She could pass them by and head to the door to the Engine Car when a taller figure came out of another room, -
“Oi!” She almost bumped into him he came out so quickly. Better him then smash her nose into the opening door she supposed. “Hey getting your stuff- …woah….” His usually nonchalant expression dropped a little when the pictomancers expression fixed on him. The look she had then made the nobody drop his own façade briefly- and for a fraction of a second he thought-
‘- no way. Wait.'
But his suspicion fizzled out as quickly as an ember tossed into a bucket when her look of surprise and shock floated to the surface. There it was, the void inside his chest were the echo of relief should be fluttering. Alas- least he knew the protocol of it.
“- so you have it, then what the heck bookworm? What’s with the- Ack hey!” In a complete and utter leaving of her usual persona the girl began poking him! Proding his front with a less then gentle jab-
Was she seriously checking to see if he was real. “Ok ok cut it ouuuwwww nng!” His remark lost when he leaned over and Kyla promptly grabbed his face and pulled on his cheeks.
“Ss-taaap!”
“- you Are alive.”
“Yes! Yes I’m – wait what?”
“I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I didn’t get to fulfill what I promised you…”
Ok, she snapped, surely. Just what in the hell happened? He’d have to go up to the front and get the details. ‘Cause this chick has lost it. It’s always the nerdy ones who get all weird when things get out of their element.
“oookay, I’m going to go up there-“ Axel took her by the shoulders and gently, and purposefully shifted her, so he pivoted around her in the train passageway. “-and go see what’s the plan. Better finish up what you’re doing and join us.” "I wont let that happen again. I'll try harder." Ok now her look was getting intense, and Axel was pretty sure he shouldn't like it.
To his vacant relief, she ends that with a nod and turns to leave. Great. Watching the numbed girl walk away her brow furrowed. Something bad happened to the lot of them, and if it kept up at this rate- their prospects of success were getting slimmer.
“Hey- er… Kyla.” Yah that’s it. She paused and watched him, curiosity now the most obvious emotion flickering in those dulled brown eyes. “ -hang in there Kay? Dun try and mimic Blonde, it would hurt his feelings.” Kyla paused there in the passageway a moment longer as he finally went on ahead. Eventually she'd follow in line behind him, no doubt passing by the others as they continued to talk about the shards. Still, if she did come upon Cloud and Zell eventually- the last thing they needed was a clone of mr. Sunshine. Plus, with that expression and body language… she was a dead ringer for her replica, though he only saw her once.

[Amy : Narnia : Train : Lounge]
'He was going to try to break my wrist,' Amy realized. 'What a d**k.'
Different shards had different aspects of Louis. That made sense in a world where magic was common and the heart had more significance than simply being an organ. She was reminded of the homonculus from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Kyle seemed to be making a lot of assumptions, but he had more experience in this area than she did.
Amy absorbed the information silently, waiting for everyone to finish speaking before she continued. She heard Yuffie's question, but set it aside for the time being. She was in the middle of her own conversation.
"Is Kyle right?" she said, "Was that Louis' Deception-Shard we just faced, and are there more?" She broke eye contact to look out the window at the godforsaken landscape, at the pit filled with hungry yellow eyes. "Are we in his heart right now?"

[[Justice & Innocence : Narnia : Train - Lounge]]
"That would be correct," Justice said with a nod to Kyle and Amy, "The shard responsible for the illusions that trapped you is known by us as Liar. He's the representation of Louis' lies that he told not only others, but himself. He's the strongest of us all... and at the same time, weakest. Like lies, Liar is only powerful as long as you believe him to be so. Louis lied so often to others and himself, blending truth and deception that he started to believe his own stories... believing he's doing the right thing, believing fabricated friendships are real, even believing he was one of the good guys."
Innocence chimed in and added on, "Now that everyone has seen through the deception, Liar has no power over you. Lucky you didn't end up like us. We didn't have a choice... being a part of Louis, the first time we faced Liar, we lost the moment we stood up to him... we were forced to believe his lies."
"Oh... and yes, there are more shards like him... but most are powerless in comparison. Just look out the window at the sea of crystals we're flying through. Those aren't just pretty lights, they're pieces of Louis' fragmented heart that shattered long before any of this began. Those shards, simply don't have enough substantial hold to take on a form like myself and Innocence here."
Once more, Innocence added on to the end of Justice's statements, "I... think at one time Liar was like all the shards out there... I think we all were. But something changed us, altered us from what we were originally, but I don't know what we were before... or what it was that caused us to change."
"I get the feeling we'll find out when we reach the end of all this."
"I hope so," Innocence ended, hugging his knees before leaning back and gazing out the nearest window.

[Dawn : Narnia : Train : Dining Car]
Dawn sniffled slightly as she cried more, all the while pulling James into the hug. She really didn't hear the conversation that was going on around her. She was finding more comfort in the warmth of her friends.
"I don't know what happened," she whispered, "One moment I was there and next not. Somehow, I was in a battlefield with Sora and the others. But all I could feel, hear was Bobbi's sadness. I was so scared. For you. For everyone."
Dawn pulled away and looked at James then Bobbi. Her eyes were still holding tears, but were strong.
"I can still feel it, too," Dawn said to her friends, though still looking directly at Bobbi and let out a soft chuckle, "Though not as loud as when you thought I was dead."

{Bobbi .:. Narnia .:. Forsaken Hall >> Train .:. Dining Car} {Yuffie, Nanaki .:. Narnia .:. Train .:. Lounge Car} {Demyx .:. Narnia .:. Train .:. Sleeping Car}
"Well you’re not dead anymore so I turned the volume down and please don’t talk about that I want to forget that it ever happened," Bobbi said, tugging lightly on Dawn to bring her back into the hug. No stopping the hug, dammit! She sniffed, and swallowed, and continued in a shaking voice that barely more than a murmur. "Besides, if you can still feel that, I bet you can tell that I’m also extremely pissed off and I have a very tenuous hold on that."
Normally Bobbi would have tried to find the emotional link and put a block on it. She was naturally empathic, and she knew what it was like to have other people’s emotions shoved in your face whether you wanted them or not. She knew how to deal with that, and how to differentiate internal emotions from external, but she was betting Dawn didn’t. However, because of that tenuous hold she had on her temper at the moment, Bobbi simply didn’t have the attention to spare. What she needed most was to remain in this three-way embrace, and let the love and care and relief the other two were radiating soothe her.
As of right now, Bobbi was essentially a seething ball of rage and hatred, all directed at Louis, and it was all she could do to keep all of that in check. Maybe if they had a longer time to rest, to let her calm down and box those dark emotions properly, she could do something about this new link between her and her oldest and best friend. But right now, she had to keep her anger in check. She couldn't afford to lose control of it.
Nanaki heard the conversation between the Dancer and the Archer, and decided now would be a good time to leave, and give the humans some privacy. He slowly padded out of the Dining car and jumped into a seat near the door on the Lounge Car. He had considered closing the door, to give the trio maximum privacy, but decided that if they wanted it closed they were perfectly capable of doing so themselves, and being able to hear Justice and Innocence give their explanations was at least one benefit to leaving the door open.
"Okaaaaaaaay," Yuffie was saying as Red came in. She scratched the side of her head, then shrugged. "Now I’m even more confused. So all of that to-do was this Louis guy’s lies personified?"

fractalJester [ So Many Characters : "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Narnia anymore." : Train ]Melisandre sat up quickly, almost as if pulled up by strings and looked around, staring into the dark abyss around her--seeing the train above and Nich nearby. "That," she began, her expression deadpan. "was not in the briefing." [Nicholas <> Narnia <> Somewhere?]The swordsman turned towards the eight foot woman, adjusted the scarf that was covering his mouth, and coughed.
"Nobody ever tells me nothin'." He chuckled, then returning to a coughing fit. After a moment, he narrowed his eyes at Melisandre. "So, tell me, woman in red, aren't you a little far from Westeros?"

At Nicholas' question, she turned to look down at the boy with furrowed brows and skewed expression. "West Eros? Is that a human stead or village? I've not heard of it."
She glanced off to the side, as if in deep contemplation.
"Is it perhaps Canthan...? I don't recall any such place in Kryta..." she muttered, rubbing her chin. "Maybe old Maguuma...?"

[ Kyle : Louis' Heart : Train Lounge ]
[[ It's been almost a week since the last train activity so I guess no one has any other questions here we go, train landing! ]]
Having been let out before Justice began to respond, Kyle stretched his legs a bit in the middle of the aisle, and with his arms slowly gaining feeling back, he began to stretch those as well. He went through the brief mental checklist: potions, check; ethers, check; body, check. It was about that time that Justice and Innocence wrapped up their bit--and about that time the train was about to touch down.
So, Kyle opened the Lounge's side door and jumped out, hitting the ground with a light jog to keep himself from falling over.
"You, Nicholas," he said, looking to rogue as the train slowly pulled to a stop behind him. "You had a seal on Noelle, right? Is it still up, and if so, can you feel her?"

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Nanaki, Yuffie .:. Louis’s Heart .:. Bridge} The group-hug between herself, Dawn, and James hadn’t lasted nearly long enough in Bobbi’s opinion. Far too soon, the train touched down, and the trio had to pull apart to get ready to leave, to go back into some ******** up crazytown inside of Louis’s heart. Bobbi had no desire to go in there, to see what other bullshit was in store for them, but she had to. She’d made a promise that she would try to keep—and hearing Innocence and Justice talk had reminded her of that promise, and how close she had come to breaking it. Or… maybe she had already broken it, with that last attack on Liar. Still, though, she would do her best to keep the promise she had made what felt like years ago, though it was only a few short hours that had passed. Now, she was standing just outside of the train, off to one side so others could exit, watching Kyle approach Nick and the gigantic woman whose name Bobbi couldn’t remember. Melissa Andre or something like that. The Archer stood by and waited, trying to get a hold on her seething emotions so they wouldn’t affect her judgment, but it was difficult. She’d never experienced such dark emotions on this level before—or if she had, they were so long ago she couldn’t remember them clearly. Absently, she checked her pockets, making sure she had two potions and two ethers handy. She had a feeling she’d need them. Once Zell was sure the train had settled in a secure area and wasn’t about to, say, break a thin layer of ice and plunge the entire party into a frigid, watery abyss, he checked to make sure everything in the train was set for an extended wait. He had no idea how long this expedition would take, and he wanted to make sure everything would be in proper order when they got back. Satisfied, he loaded up on potions and ethers, cracked his knuckles, and headed out of the Engine. He wandered the cars, checking to make sure no one got left behind, and found Demyx sound asleep in one of the sleeping rooms. Three punches and a kick later, and the cowardly Nobody was up and out of the train, and Zell went back to checking to see if anyone else was lagging behind. Yuffie and Nanaki were right on Kyle’s heels, the Ninja looking anxious to start a fight, and Nanaki looking about, studying the odd landscape. "Oh, man," Yuffie said, staring in grossed-out fascination at the castle and the writhing, creeper-like whatchamacallems that covered it. She held a hand to her mouth as she tried not to heave. "That is so gross…"Nanaki simply glanced at the castle, and shrugged. "No worse than anything I saw in my time in Halloween Town," he said mildly, and returned to keeping an eye on the abyss of Heartless and the surrounding area. The last thing he wanted was a surprise attack from any of those dark beings.

[Joseph: Louis' Heart: Train Lounge -> Bridge]
The male rolled his eyes at Leviathan. That was all he did, even when Dani 'regained control'. After all, he felt he had nothing to worry about when it came to the water snake. So when Dani apologized, he just shrugged. "Not worried about it. 's not like he could do anything to me without your consent, anyway."
At least, he was pretty sure.
Once they landed, though, Joe followed after Kyle, yawning. Not out of boredom, but mainly because he was tired. He was more of a sprinter than a marathoner, after all. However, he knew he'd get no real rest any time soon. Especially when looking up at the disgusting castle. Which was Louis' heart, if everything he had heard was right. Which made the male frown in disgust, really. Mainly because he considered it to be kind of ugly and gross.

[Dawn : Louis' Heart : Dining Car -> Bridge]
After the long embrace with her friends, Dawn's eyes were kind of puffy after all the tears that fell. She slowly followed after Bobbi to investigate what there was to investigate. Right behind Joe as he yawned.
The dancer paused a moment before she left and grabbed a few things from one of the cabinets then caught back up with Joe. Who she tapped on the shoulder with a can of a caffeinated energy drink, with a slight smirk.
"I have a feeling you need this," she said to the fighter still with a smirk as she handed it to him, whither he took it willfully or not or not. Dawn then looked in the direction of the castle as shivers went involuntarily down her spine, "So any plans now?"

The male looked from Dawn to the can of 'energy', slowly blinking down at the can as it was thrust into his hands.
"Ew." He muttered it, but it was still a thoughtful gesture, so he pocketed it. "Thanks. As for plans...we go in and see what we're dealing with. Then we adjust and figure out what to do next."
He shrugged again. They just...really didn't know that much about the pulsing castle. "And I guess be prepared for anything gross. As gross if not grosser than, you know. Giant pulsing castle heart thing."

Dawn looked from Joe to the castle and then back before she responded, "Considering what happened before, you sure that is such a good idea? Might be another trap."
'As if I have any ideas of my own...' she thought with a sigh.
"Hey Kyle catch," she shouted before tossing him another one of the drinks that she gave Joe. Then she took a glance at one of the images of Louis and her eyes softened a moment.
"Justice, was it?" she addressed him directly hoping to get something out of him, "You should know this place better than any of us. Any advice before we try to go in?

[[Justice, Innocence : Louis' Heart : Train > Bridge]]
Justice looked as thought he might answer the ninja's question, but his mouth closed slightly as he wasn't quite sure if his answer would be clear enough or if he himself was certain his answers would be correct so he refrained. As the train landed, he followed closely behind Kyle, who as his host he was reluctant to separate from for long.
Innocence did the same, tagging behind his fellow shard but he, unlike Justice, did not leave the train quite yet, stopping to look at Kyla, the pictomancer's down, vacant expression making his chest twinge slightly. Instinctively, the boy reached out and gave the girl a hug. It was quick, simple, but a full embrace before he pulled away with a smile, "It'll be okay."
With that simple optimistic statement, he bounded out the door after the others, spinning on his heel in a full 360, arms out wide before he practically skipped along with the group gathering outside.
Justice stopped when Dawn addressed him, stepping out of the way as Innocence twirled past him, oblivious to the fact he might have knocked over his fellow shard, "I can tell you only what I remember... and that is, the shard best known for deception and traps was Liar, and you've already defeated him. If there are any traps, I couldn't think of them... not for lack of memory, more... I'm Justice. I'm direct. Traps? Tricks? I'm a sword that illuminates hypocrisy and crushes it with unrelenting ferocity."
The boy with the crystalline halo looked at Innocence who otherwise seemed to remain oblivious of their conversation, "Unfortunately, I don't think any of us could help you in that regard. Innocence is just that... he's kindhearted and empathetic. He's the one who protected you when Liar tried to kill you. Pulled you out of the illusion just before you were stabbed. Esteem is about protecting others, he has very little value in himself and thus was willing to nearly sacrifice himself to save everyone from Liar's deception. Sorry for the inconvenience."
